I haven't really kept track on this gmail topic. can you point out to me, if this tutorial is only available for a paid g suite account or also for a private gmail? I have a root server with a custom domain. so far I was planning to use mailgun or run mailcow. but if I follow your instructions, install postfix and set rDNS it sounds like a better solution. my plan is to recieve emails to mail@customdomain.com, relay them to gmail and view them in my gmail account. it feels like I missunderstood something.
Good questions. You don't need a g suite account with Google for this to work. I don't have one & it works. But yeah, they still have tight restrictions like the rDNS, so its possible you may run into some speed bumps. This is the second time I've done this, so their hurdles weren't enough to deter me. Personally, I tend to opt for the fewest 3rd party solutions as possible, if just to minimize the extra maintenance. If you go this route, be sure to check out the related video & post about Postfix spam settings: grokshop.tv/stop-spam-with-postfix-email-server/

Thanks for explaining everything. Other vids just do and don't explain anything at all
Awesome. Great delivery. Great format. This is like a nine week college course in eight minutes. Love it.
I have a sneaky suspicion that anyone that understood half of what was discussed here already knew 100% of what was discussed.
Good job Daddy!
cant you use powerapps to do things like this now days ?
Good Job Honey!
Thanks for the video, very helpful!
Is the domain (.tv) has to be a paid public dns resolver to use?
I did the reverse dns and still get the same error. Going to disable ipv6. Thanks.
what if I don't have a dns?
