Sick looking build. Cut out fan looks sweet. Have always wanted to build my own case with exposed fans slotted into the case. Perhaps building around a GPU with it being part of a panel of the case.
was thinking that yesterday... will lose just a little GPU side of case but can get a EVGA 3060ti in... will stick out 17mm.. finding a 3060ti is a problem itself
@@AGEN7HIT I've found a few discords that are pretty quick with the notifications for new stock, I've noticed though that nvidia aren't stocking the 3060ti/3080 nearly as much as the 3070.
Very nice build. The cooler fan doesn't look bad at all. I might even try it on my K39 in order to run a stronger CPU. I currently have an i5 9400 because of the cooler size restraint. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah it turned out well .. go for it .. remember measure twice cut once take your time don’t rush it .. alloy is really easy to cut with a dremmel disc cutter
I built almost the same system in K39 back in 2019 and it is still working great. I used a noctua black cpu cooler instead as it fits perfectly and kept my 3700x cool enough for most of the stress tests. After watching your stock cooler mod, i am tempted to try that but unsure if it is worth the effort if there is no drop in temps. Mind sharing your idle and stress temps? I had to under-volt and fixed CPU core to 4.0 ghz all cores to keep the temps within acceptable range.
Nice .. I’m working away at the moment so rarely see my house and bed. I never got round to undervolting.. that’s a field will look into ..it’s running perfectly no issues my son plays warzone full settings for hours. Get a same cooler put it on try it before cutting out the case .. I’m sure it his fan is good as Noctua it’s has high pitch blades pulls more air at slower speeds highly recommend
i thought the same after a week.. but i cant as the cable connections are modular and come out one side only .. ive had no heating issues yet played Warzone for over 6 hours last sunday on 1080p high settings it stayed very quite and temps were cool
I tried to fit the Wraith Spire in an ITX build and what I ended up doing was removing the RGB fan setup and attaching it to the Wraith Stealth which is shorter, has the same look and it fit.
I couldn’t wait anymore.. waiting 6 weeks for case and power supply.. wasn’t going order a fan and wait for delivery.. was using it open motherboard with a normal power supply.. corner of my room was electrical hazard. Mrs reminded me 3 times a day ..

Yes !! Feel honoured.. the PSU unit is 1U size 400w hasn’t glitched a bit at any time you will need to change the heat sink on the fan to a shorter one that’s available on the non rgb one .. I tried everything to fit but at the end it looked so unique .. unfortunately I don’t own it anymore it was sold and gone towards sons car he has already built another full size monster pc so this one had to go. If you need any other info please ask my friend glad to help .. I suggest you buy the case riser cable and psu at the same shop. Will take months to come if ordered separately and highly recommend you shorten cables tedious but worth it will fit without bending case and above all the airflow is significantly better it will behave like a open air pc. My plan is to have the CPU fan stick out just like yours. Oh and I won't need worry much about cables. I'm goin w/ a modular PSU & GPU that takes all its power from the PCI-E slot. Got my hands on a nice little RTX A2000 that will be perfect for this build 😁
@@zerocal76 the cooler with the RGB has a taller heatsink and cooler with non RGB has a shorter one .. you have to swap the fans over to shorter one to get a that look. I forgot to add the height of motherboard when ordering luckily my mate had a spare bucket of parts and I found the shortest heatsink. Talking covid time builds were everything sold out plus I wasn’t waiting any more longer to build was running open air 6 week’s waiting for case to arrive from china. I’m here to help you best I can send pictures of finished. Sounds like a beast.
I wouldn't be able to have a pc with a hole in the side of it for a fan. I would get distracted and end up with one less finger on a hot day xD Great build!
Trust I have no money left .. I waited 11 weeks for PSU from AliExpress . When i was building and it didn’t fit .. It blew my patience and I cut it .. I think the non rgb wraith spire fits .. that’s where I made that awesome mistake
Since it's already cut, any plan to try the wraith prism cooler? The bigger more RGB one that comes with the 3700x? It looks really good, as does that one. Love the understated thin light ring.
As I was cutting it did cross my mind.. had a good measure up .. 1. it’s taller sticks out slightly more 2. it covers the Ram RGB if the rams where non RGB it’s worth having a go ..
@@AGEN7HIT Aww does it That's a shame. It perfectly lines up with ram on my board, but I disliked the noise it made constantly ramping up and down so I went back to an AIO. Not nearly as fun to look at but quieter.
@@ConfusedRaccoon I had to mess with the fan curve on MB bios .. moved way to right .. that ramping up and down was annoying .. think it only does it 3700x
@@AGEN7HIT I think its because Ryzen cpus report their temps in a weird and irratic way so it always seems to be bouncing up n down by 10°c or something. I sued a program called Fan Control, set my own custom graphs and shes working lovely now.
I have turned RGB off but it looks bland .. suppose I’m a sucker for RGB .. no cooling issues as of yet used mostly on COD warzone 1080p high settings. No cover on fan acts like a open air pc .. it works hard when editing 4K videos. Fans ramp up high . The rest of the tasks fans super quiet

@@AGEN7HIT meant no disrespect is a very very clean build. 100% will want to see that video I've got a 2060 which I undervolted with a noctua fan mod and my wires are everywhere haha, ive got 6 40x10 Noctua fans at the top for temps , runs below 70C when gaming so very happy but yours so a lot more aesthetic

I just want a 3060Ti EVGA version just looks a beast .. but I’m not paying COVID infested prices .. I’ll wait .. that was the main reason I shortened cables jus a cleaner build with a lot of breathing space in case .. it’s tedious but very rewarding in the end with no panel warps 👍🏽

Bought it with the case .. was in same situation like you tried to buy from different shop but was confused with the length and angles I’m not even starting with Gen numbers .. highly recommend you buy with case as a set .. it’s tried and tested ready to go .. hope your build goes perfect mate 👍🏽

made a extention from motherboard to the strip with a connection so i can take the back plate off ..its connected to Aorus RGB fusion 2 so its in sync with front cooler ring and Dimms
I think it 20cm .. but has to 90 degrees on bottom side .. I bought riser cable and case together I highly recommend that you do same just to be safe mate
It’s actually performing very well no issues as of yet .. playing games at 1080p getting 70-90 fps no problems .. when rendering 4k videos I think it’s touching its peak sometimes though
its around 3-4kg sorry dont have anythinng to weigh .. but it surprises you when you pick up thats all .. somthing that small shouldnt be that heavy ... deceiving

@@kgb3209 well spotted .. I’m impressed.. The 3700x came with a huge cooler “Prism” like a square shape lit up with RGB. Got a bag full of coolers from my friends shop who repairs PC and phones .. I took the shorter heat sink and swapped the spire fan from taller heat sink .. only 4 screws .. from my calculations I had 7mm spare height.. so I built it tested it while waiting 2 months for case .. I measured from motherboard bracket i forgot to include motherboard height. Wasn’t waiting anymore so cut it 👍🏽

Well done, but I recommend to flip the PSU so it can suck fresh air from underneath and not the heated from inside the case.

Technically it should do .. I don’t have much use knowledge on 1660 you’ll probably know more about it than me
why don't you use the AXP-90, C7, ... it's 47mm tall, matches K39 and performance is good

Looks great except all the RGB. I would add 2 92mm on top though. Because I always hide my pc away. Needs guaranteed cooling.

It is small but around 5kg and bulky you will feel it in your backpack. All depends on your needs though 👍🏻

Very quiet … the blades have a high pitch angle so it doesn’t need to spin very fast to pull air … they are underrated

@@kgb3209 well spotted .. I’m impressed.. The 3700x came with a huge cooler “Prism” like a square shape lit up with RGB. Got a bag full of coolers from my friends shop who repairs PC and phones .. I took the shorter heat sink and swapped the spire fan from taller heat sink .. only 4 screws .. from my calculations I had 7mm spare height.. so I built it tested it while waiting 2 months for case .. I measured from motherboard bracket i forgot to include motherboard height. Wasn’t waiting anymore so cut it 👍🏽
