In case no one answered it yet: There are bagpipes in Greek, Macedonian, Thracian and Turkish (to name but a few countries in the area of which Greeks settled in ancient times) folk music, even though I think they are a bit differently built and different tonewise to the Western European ones. 🙂 Anyway, I think they suited the song quite well. And no, it would not be a Saltatio Mortis song without them.
