Before BigBang kpop fans would use anything at concerts but BigBang said their fans are VIP for them and GD designed a special light stick so VIP will stand apart from other fandoms. You did it again!! First with 2ne1 and now with BigBang! I’m trying to fight the tears but it’s so hard! 2ne1 was the reason I got into BigBang. Before I got into BTS BigBang was THE boy group for me. They were actually the only other group I listened to (other than 2ne1). And now I’m a multi-fandom K-pop trash!
Bigbang was ths first group that got me into kpop and 2ne1 was the first girl group I got into. When I first got into kpop I didn't really like girl groups since they were all the same, either trying to be cutesy or sexy, but then I met 2ne1 and fell in love with their badassness. I got into more kpop groups but sadly some of them disbanded like MBLAQ, 4minute, Sistar, and 2ne1.😭 There are some other groups/people I still like. Most of them are from the 1st and 2nd generation of kpop since I now find it so hard to get into new kpop groups (there's just too many and I already have lots of groups I like). Bigbang is still my ultimate bias. I find myself listening to more khip hop and kRnB nowadays though. I'm especially into DPR live nowadays. He's awesome and his voice is kinda sexy! 😍

Please check out Park Hyo Shin - Wildflower. The song is beautiful and is about the hardships Hyo Shin has endured over his life. He co-wrote it with his friend who you see playing the piano in the MV. Hyo Shin has not had an easy life. His first record label worked him to the bone to the point that he literally collapsed on stage and was later diagnosed with spasmodic dysphonia, which affects the vocal cords by causing them to spasm randomly. This caused him to take a 4 year long hiatus from music. He made his return with Wildflower--a song about how, despite his hardships (the winter he lived through), he came to blossom in the end. The MV is also all done in one shot and the audio in the MV is all live. Park Hyo Shin is a phenomenal vocalist with great technique. His high notes up to C5 are well supported as well as resonant (resonance only happens with proper technique and correct placement). Resonance has a distinctive "ringing" quality to it which you can hear in this song once he starts going into his upper register. It's an interesting vocal phenomenon that is pleasant to listen to. His voice also has a natural warmth and huskiness that I think you'll enjoy. Jin and Jungkook have done a cover of this song, Kyuhyun of Super Junior (the best technical idol vocalist to date) has done a cover, and Imfact's Jeup has done a cover too. Park Hyo Shin is incredibly famous over in South Korea--he has numerous hits, 3 of which are back to back--but he's sadly underrated/unknown/underappreciated internationally as most South Korean soloists tend to be despite their talent and great music. He won Best Stage last year at MMA.

Please check out Park Hyo Shin - Wildflower. The song is beautiful and is about the hardships Hyo Shin has endured over his life. He co-wrote it with his friend who you see playing the piano in the MV.
Hyo Shin has not had an easy life. His first record label worked him to the bone to the point that he literally collapsed on stage and was later diagnosed with spasmodic dysphonia, which affects the vocal cords by causing them to spasm randomly. This caused him to take a 4 year long hiatus from music. He made his return with Wildflower--a song about how, despite his hardships (the winter he lived through), he came to blossom in the end. The MV is also all done in one shot and the audio in the MV is all live.
Park Hyo Shin is a phenomenal vocalist with great technique. His high notes up to C5 are well supported as well as resonant (resonance only happens with proper technique and correct placement). Resonance has a distinctive "ringing" quality to it which you can hear in this song once he starts going into his upper register. It's an interesting vocal phenomenon that is pleasant to listen to. His voice also has a natural warmth and huskiness that I think you'll enjoy.
Jin and Jungkook have done a cover of this song, Kyuhyun of Super Junior (the best technical idol vocalist to date) has done a cover, and Imfact's Jeup has done a cover too. Park Hyo Shin is incredibly famous over in South Korea--he has numerous hits, 3 of which are back to back--but he's sadly underrated/unknown/underappreciated internationally as most South Korean soloists tend to be despite their talent and great music. He won Best Stage last year at MMA.
