This is a bloody great performance. The post punk and pre grunge 1980's were a glorious time to be alive and to follow all the great metal bands. Everyone was there for the music, drinking beers, and having fun. The biggest thing you had to worry about was a long line at the restrooms.

I don't know what it is about that song but it really draws you in on an emotional level. The words and the chord structure are very basic but everything falls right into place. It probably wouldn't if you didn't have the voice to go with it. Sometimes the simplest things are the best.

Actually the original song was written by Kenny and somebody else. Some of the lyrics have been changed which unfortunately makes the song LESS emotional. It was based on 5 lives being lost in a very short amount of time and how it affected both of the writers. Every song means something different to others because of their own experience in life so no explanation of a song is wrong. I'm just happy to know that the song lives on as well as Kenny's memory. Loved "Never Let You Go". Seems like they could have done better in the US but they came out when grunge was about to hit. I love the music they did for Rock Star. Love that movie.
HeidiCara their music was evolving with the music's climate, second album is much harder and edgier than the first. They would have done fine through the grunge era. The band was out for about 2.5 years after 1st album with a major label, then they were suddenly done, finished, when Mili's stage accident silenced him for 4 years.

The third guy to do vocals for the movie rockstar is a dude from Wyoming named ivan Dakota or something. I guess he was hitting every note the other 2 couldn't and the labels didn't want that shit to get out.
It may be me but he seems to be rushing through it, probably has some kind of time frame for each song but if he slowed down & put a little more into it like he did with "I'll never let you go" HOLY HELL. that would sound great.
