@@Timstravels01 I greatly appreciate that. Thanks! That's why I've watched both your videos and Steve Marsh's videos they are a lot of fun and very useful for planning out trip logistics.
This is an excellent bus ride; what a fantastic side quest this turned out to be. I found it comfortable and very scenic, and our driver was a lot of fun. Passengers were chatty and enjoyable company. Tim, once again, thanks for the stellar video; it certainly helped me feel confident taking the trip via bus.
Really enjoyed this video Tim . Something a bit different , but I like coach travel so it hit the spot with me . No idea what that little recess is for , but it looks handy anyway . Cheers Tim and take care .
Nice video, and great views. I take it you swapped sides to benefit from the loch views? How was the return? "Turn the other cheek" - love it 😂 But for RUclips views you need a disaster journey ;)
Thanks so much! Yes I swapped sides because firstly I realised I wasn’t going to get any decent lochside footage and secondly, the passenger behind me was snoring!
Thanks so much for your video, in September my daughter and I will be taking the Jacobite Steam Express from Fort William to Malliag. I looked all around the channels to look for info on how to get from Inverness to Fort William, and your video gave me exactly the answer I needed. I have one question, you think I will have to get tickets on line ahead of time or is relatively easy to just show up at the bus station? How often they depart? Thanks so much again!!
Thank you for watching and I’m pleased the video has helped with your plans. I would say you will be fine to purchase your tickets at the bus station on the day. Services leave every hour from Inverness with the first coach departing at 9am. The line from Fort William-Mallaig is beautiful, you are in for a real treat.
I think most of the services are run by Shiel Buses of Fort William on behalf of Citylink, that particular service looks rather like the awful Stagecoach Group. Whenever I have travelled this route I have always found Shiel Buses to be really comfortable and clean to travel on, to be honest the Stagecoach coach you travelled on looked a bit cramped and I'm surprised it never broke down judging Stagecoach Highland reputation.
It was a little cramped but overall it was good. The coach on the return was ever better, I should have made a video of it! I'll have to give Shiel Coaches a try. Thanks so much for watching.
So the way it works, Scottish Citylink don’t actually own any vehicles, instead they use local companies such as Shiel Buses or Stagecoach Highland to run their services. Although the livery in the outside looks the same, inside varies depending on the vehicle owners/operator.
Nice video! Subscribed, I like your approach! Cheers from the middle of the US!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that.
Your commentary always makes me laugh, fantastic as always Sir, I need to delve into the world of coach travel soon :)
Cheers mate that’s very kind. I’d be very keen to watch a coach video of yours. I look forward to it.
As a Fort William based travel enthusiast I really enjoyed your video. It was great to see so many familiar sights. Hope you enjoyed your journey!
I had a cracking journey. Couldn’t fault it. Thanks so much for watching, it’s much appreciated!
Great Video; this is just what I needed to know for an upcoming trip with a brief foray into Scotland.
Thank you so much. I glad it helped. If you've any questions about travel in Scotland, feel free to ask.

‘Turn the other cheek’ 😂 - love it! Another great video mate, I’ll look forward to some more coach journeys? Down to London maybe 🤔
Cheers mate, I'm glad you enjoyed it. London may be on the cards...

Cheers David. I’m not sure if I could manage a long distance coach trip yet but at least this was a start! Take care.
Great video! Superb scenery.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks Tim, most enjoyable.
Have you done the Goldliner coach from Inverness to Gladgow ?
Cheers Martin. I've not done the Goldliner yet. Coach travel is something I'm delving in to so the Goldliner is tempting for sure.
That bit between the seats is a mystery spot. It is said that if you put 3p, a boiled sweat, and a piece of string in there...... Nothing will happen.
😂 like the Bermuda Triangle of coaches.

That’s very interesting. So are the drivers employed by Citylink or would they be employees of the leased coach company?
Travelling through the mountain Glen of two collided tectonic plates and not getting wifi is a slur on humanity 🎭🫡✌️🏴🇬🇧
It's absolutely appalling. 🤣 As I said, I'm happy to look out the window. Those views are better than anything online.
