thank you daddy for this band. I miss you everyday and ur music is what gets me through this. been singing along to this since I was a kid. 15 now and still rocking this. miss you always dad
The best thing my high school boyfriend ever did for me... introduce me to this band. It was 2000 or 2001 & I still consider this one of my favorite songs, if not my absolute favorite.
When I signed up for the Navy, they were the first song I heard on the radio. Eventually they did a concert on my ship a few years later, and I met them. Crazy.
I m probably the only argentain to hear this music. A good friend introduce my this band like 18 years ago. I was a kid. I used to love it. And today i still loving this song and this band
This song just randomly popped into my head in 2023. I used to listen to it on repeat in high school - well, the whole album actually. I loved it. Now I’m a high school English teacher, and I can’t get over how well it’s crafted with the sound and poetic devices like internal rhymes, alliteration, consonance, similes, etc. and how the song evolves but stays similar throughout it. Well done, Stroke 9. Well done!
forgot how much I loved this record. Listened to it this morning for the first time in ages and it's just as great as it was in 1999. Also discovered they started making new records in 2020. And have a brand new album that just came out at the end of 2023 called "Calafuego" that is pretty great❤
You're leaving me here, dear Alone with all your letters You're letting it go, no Like innocence and feathers You're putting it down Sounds slipping into songs You're leaving me here, dear Alone with all my wrongs You're pulling away Pray you're making the right choice You're pulling away Stay and listen to my voice To my voice Sooner or later you will long When you wake you will see Sooner or later all the songs That make you shake will be by me Sooner or later all the throngs of feelings We used to appreciate will come rushing back You're thinking about How you thought you knew me better You're looking around town And wondering how I met her You're pulling away Pray you're making the right choice You're pulling away Stay and listen to my voice To my voice Sooner or later all the throngs or feelings We used to appreciate will come rushing back When you wake you will see Don't wake me as you leave Don't make me believe I have a chance in hell Don't tell me what I know too well Don't wake me As you're leaving me here dear Alone with all your letters Don't let it go of your innocence and feathers Now I find that every sound reminds me of our song Since you left me here dear Alone with all my wrongs With my wrongs
Whfstival 2000, they were on like the C stage playing, their street team came around handing out cassettes (kids, ask your parents) of this album, brings back the memories
Saw Stroke 9 in concert almost 11 years ago with SR-71 and Splender. It was such an awesome concert! It was my most favorite concert until I saw the New Kids and the Backstreet Boys (NKOTBSB) two weeks ago. That concert was soooooo totally freakin awesome. It is my number 1 concert now. Stroke 9 will always be a favorite though.
My car broke down in college on a road trip and I couldn't pay to fix it, so i asked for money for a greyhound back home and played this album nonstop on the trip back. Good times
@providencebreaker22 That's some BS, I've never heard it before. I work at one in PA. Do you guys play any recent music? We don't play anything from like the past ten years.
one of the most under-rated bands there was.
As i was putting this song on i turned to my gf and said these exact words lol then saw your comment

You're leaving me here, dear
Alone with all your letters
You're letting it go, no
Like innocence and feathers
You're putting it down
Sounds slipping into songs
You're leaving me here, dear
Alone with all my wrongs
You're pulling away
Pray you're making the right choice
You're pulling away
Stay and listen to my voice
To my voice
Sooner or later you will long
When you wake you will see
Sooner or later all the songs
That make you shake will be by me
Sooner or later all the throngs of feelings
We used to appreciate will come rushing back
You're thinking about
How you thought you knew me better
You're looking around town
And wondering how I met her
You're pulling away
Pray you're making the right choice
You're pulling away
Stay and listen to my voice
To my voice
Sooner or later all the throngs or feelings
We used to appreciate will come rushing back
When you wake you will see
Don't wake me as you leave
Don't make me believe I have a chance in hell
Don't tell me what I know too well
Don't wake me
As you're leaving me here dear
Alone with all your letters
Don't let it go of your innocence and feathers
Now I find that every sound reminds me of our song
Since you left me here dear
Alone with all my wrongs
With my wrongs
