Only a genius in his own mind ( not so Crucial Three) and perhaps a few fans. I actually really like some of his songs- Sinful, Story of the Blues, Diamond Girl, Come Back and If I Loved You but he was only ever a minor player in the UK music scene. He once had something to say from 1982- 1987 that was sadly a long time ago.
I'll be the judge of how many of his songs I have heard as I'm the listener. I am not a songwriter so yes he will have written at least one more great song than I ever will, let's call it Story of the Blues for the sake of convenience- that one will do.
A career filled with great songs from the cool punk years of better scream, through the smash hit years, the acid disco craziness to the wise troubadour of heartbreak and strength. Above all he has been an inspirational poet, a devastating political commentator, a laugh out loud observer of life love and laughter and a lad you would enjoy sharing a pint with. Tributes and acollades overdue but richly deserved sir.

Wylie has penned more great songs than you ever will - and, if your list is anything to go by, you've yet to hear most of them.
