Saw pete Wylie and the mighty wah last night performing at the Yardbirds club in Grimsby. No string section or female backing vocals for his big hits... but still has a great voice and a talented guitarist. A great night despite only about 80 people turning out for this 80s legend. Shame on you Grimsby! He made time to speak with fans at the end too..
Oh how I wish Pete Wylie had had more commercial success. He's a fantastic song writer and when I've seen him in interviews he's always so funny and interesting. Such a shame such a talent would only be known by a considerably smaller audience than could've been the case. Hope has never been far from my Hi-fi. Thanks for uploading
Absolute genius, this fella’ sometimes doesn't realise how many lives he’s touched, …… something most of us can only dream of, I wish I had an ounce of his talent.
@CAVERN1234 I don't know Liverpool but I believe Wyley was referred to as the Elvis of Aigburth Street by the NME. If you're Liverpudlian you'd know more than me.
Give the guy a break. He had a bad accident and nearly died -and still sounds great today. Carried on when a lot of others might have given up. I had a bad accident myself so know what I am talking about.
Looks like Colin Vearcombe aka Black on guitar and backing vocals , there was a connection between him and Pete Wylie , I think it was Pete Wylies management
Wow, watching this and it’s 12yrs old and I’m only the 145th like. C,mon guys this music won’t come round again, appreciate it.

The greatest song ever written.
Absolutely brilliant song, kept me going many times since when i first heard them 1983. Wish i had seen them live.

Love Wah, always loved Wah...really loved CV...broke my heart this morning stumbling over this clip. Hearts as big as Liverpool...

Good live effort. Story of the blues,Hope, come back,Sinful are perhaps 4 of the greatest songs of the 80s.
.... and the band were excellent
Lots of energy in the performances. Man knows how to write good songs.
This was a great night in Brixton. I was stood right in front of the backing singers. Great gig, good to see this back again.
