As a atheist I have... 3 bibles in my house. One my grandma gave me with her original gift note still inside, the family bible with all the family occassions inside and the mini bible of the New Testament I was given at age 3! Fear of books by either party is disturbing. *Stop burning, banning and hiding books.* These actions say far more about the person than anything they may dislike about the book!

I would not be the woman I am today had it not been for the dozens of men we lost in the early - mid 90's. Hiding reality from children teaches them to fear the unknown or worse teaches them it is ok to attack anything that is different than the accepted norm in which they grew up. LGBTQAI is not something you can catch, it isn't something you are taught to be... it just is. If you want to protect your children... keep them informed. Teach them "good touch vs bad touch, good secret vs bad secret." As a atheist I have... 3 bibles in my house. One my grandma gave me with her original gift note still inside, the family bible with all the family occassions inside and the mini bible of the New Testament I was given at age 3!

Some books should be banned in children's spaces. I'm talking about sexual stuff that is far from basic sex education. For adults, people should have access to any book.
@@xanders.3810 I spent the first 11 years of my life with a preacher grandfather who denied us access to books. At first the family pretended that gay people did not exist. Then AIDS happened and I wanted to know and finally my father allowed me access to the "restricted section" of what my mother and grandpa would have accepted.
In the late 80's gpa had a sticker on his church van stating, "AIDS is killing all the right people." After Ryan White passed away in 91 I scraped it off with one of dad's box cutters. I didn't sit down for a week but that sticker was replaced with Jesus Saves.
Later the same year I challenged his beliefs and requested to go volunteer in the AIDS wards for the people dying to bring some love/comfort as commanded by the book I had been taught from my entire life.
He was not happy but agreed thinking I would see death and run. Instead it became a labor of love for our entire chirch youth group until 1997. Even my grandfather changed his tune after seeing the work and the expansion of the youth group's kindness/warmth.
I would not be the woman I am today had it not been for the dozens of men we lost in the early - mid 90's. Those wonderful men taught us grace, compassion and unconditional love at their weakest moments. I would not be who I am today without their stories.
Teaching children to be loving, kind, accepting is not a bad thing. Hiding reality from children teaches them to fear the unknown or worse teaches them it is ok to attack anything that is different than the accepted norm in which they grew up. LGBTQAI is not something you can catch, it isn't something you are taught to be... it just is.
If you want to protect your children... keep them informed. Teach them "good touch vs bad touch, good secret vs bad secret."
When you hide the world from them... they often feel lied to when they are older or worse if you are raising a trans child and you pretend they don't exist or that they are horrible just for existing... you end up with a depressed suìcìdäl kid.

Well spoken, there are Christians who have been martyred for risking just a page of the Bible in communist countries. And to fill her in on what Separation of Church and State means: We The People want to be allowed to practice our religion, without the interference of government. Preventing the Bible from being in that room is one example of government interference of one’s ability to worship. Another would be the government forcing Christianity to accept gay marriage. A covenant between man woman and God alone. The government forcing that “law” onto everyone is another overstep and interference in one’s religion.

If she has the intent of starting a conversation about separation between church and state, why can’t she just open the discussion by using words?
