ADD & Loving it?! has been called “the best film ever made on ADD.” Okay, we called it that, but thousands agree! Originally aired on Global Television in Canada and PBS in the US, this award-winning documentary is changing lives.
Made by and for adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, this is a must-see for anyone who has ever been impacted by this much-misunderstood disorder -- or wondered if they had it.
“I've been misdiagnosed for over almost 30 years. I saw ADD and Loving It?! and it explains my whole life the way nothing else has. I started reading, going to support groups and diving into this new journey… I feel like I have a whole new lease on life!” -DP

Having ADD for me is mostly clicking a video and then not even watching it, just scrolling through the comments..
i agree lol.... I think the sound of his voice is distracting me bad..
Lol, every time I click on a video, I pause it to read comments...and yet I'm listening to another video in the background.
Justin Peacock same I have ADD and I do that
Cudn't agree more
Justin Peacock stop 🙈😂
Its not about putting a positive spin on ADHD. It's about understanding that your brain isn't wired like %80 percent of the world. Like being left handed in a right handed world. What you focus on grows. Focusing only on the negatives will produce negative perceptions and outcomes. Focusing on the positives will produce positive perceptions and outcomes. Because of the neurological factors of ADHD by addressing self beliefs and focusing on strengths with therapy and ADD coaching will help.
I always tell people it's like trying to watch a documentary and someone keeps randomly changing the channel any time a new point comes up. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy, it's absolutely ruined my life.
Why was this filmed at a carnival ALL I CAN WATCH IS THE CARNIVAL
How would you expect US to pay attention on what are you talking with spinning collors and rollercoasters behind you? lol
LOL!
I LOL'd at that part.
It was the noise that got to me. TT.TT
sad thing, I wasn't even aware why I couldn't listen to him then I saw this comment and I felt like; ooohhh!!! bingo! :D
Oh my gosh yes that was torture
I was watching the ride behind Patrick instead of listening to his words...I'll try it again.
Nice song....wait...someone was talking? 🤔
Nice talking wait there was a song?
This trailer does not serve the documentary enough justice. I saw it on PBS a couple years ago and I thought it was AMAZING!! I've crippled through life and it really opened my eyes and has helped other people understand me.
The music is too loud for the voices. Its distracting. lol
ADD is not bad.I have ADD and I have a great life, most people dont really know i have it and its sad but i dont care. If i didnt have ADD i wouldnt be who i am
Well I had it my whole life too and always hated it I've been called stupid slow other words I won't use it was so hard for me in school to pay attention or understand anything u must have a mild case
It's been hell interspersed with reckless abandon that has brought me further hell
Is the music/background a reminder that this documentary isn’t for those suffering from adhd but to educate those who don’t have it? Because I started doing a little two step to the beat, can’t imagine .. did he say possible cannibalism?
not a complete disaster.. just somthing that makes marriage friendships and work a little tough
+ImMADasAMeatAxe tough... like pushing a boulder up a hill.
I think my ADD is secretly a blessing.
It can be for sure
@Electrashock Nice, thought out, and positive message man, you pretty much described my life for the last 5 years through the first couple of sentences. Having a severe case of ADD and being an adult sucks in this modern world.
@MmmSauceNeal It's not rhetoric. ADHD is one of the MOST studied disorders. Conflicting views means science is at work. Nothing worked for me until I started vyvanse, and it is like a whole new world has been opened up to me. Not to say I don't diet an exercise, but everyone is different. Don't condemn someone because something different works for them. Your skeptical hesitance is a sign of a sharp mind, but I disagree.
@aliweston
That was me exactly. I don't see it as a weakness or a flaw, I see it as a creative spark. I'm so smart and I can do so much other people can't. ADHD doesn't mean anything other than you are wired differently. I try to make my world fit me, because I will never fit in "society". I don't think about scared children, I think about professors who come to class looking sloppy and unorganized, but are the brightest minds in their field. I'd rather be no other way.
I know this comment is two years hold, but what the heck, I'll reply anyway.
As a college student who has had serious trouble with ADHD, I'd recommend you watch this documentary. In no way does the tone of it echo what you seem to think it does, on the contrary, it discusses in detail the problems that ADHD folks face, and lays out a means by which they can minimize those problems and embrace the positive aspects of the disorder.
I don't think being "doom and gloom" helps at all.
Where is the full version of this documentary? I watched it years ago , and it was life changing for my situation with my son . I want to share this with others.. but it has literally vanished from PBS , RUclips and the internet .. except for this trailer
Hi Tricia, ADD & Loving It?! is available in our shop at totallyaddshop.com/products/video-download-add-loving-it we use the money from our shop to run our independent ADHD awareness website at TotallyADD.
Many PBS markets did run this over the summer. There's a chance your local PBS station will run it if you contact them and ask them to.
Thank you for your support.
How can I watch this full documentary for free?! Thanks

I hate having ADD.
Wish I came across this like.. 10 years ago!!
FRMONSIVAIS Thanks!! Will look into..
I respect Dr. Hallowell's putting a positive spin on ADHD (the whole Ferrari brain and Chevy brakes thing) but for some kids with severe ADHD, the reality (even when medicated) is often more like: I have no friends, my parents are always yelling at me, I'm flunking 2 classes at school, I can't seem to control my impulses, and I have no idea how to make it better. And on top of that, I'm supposed to be loving it! For these kids, there is little that's positive about having ADHD.
It's about finding their strengths and boosting self esteem
I am going to watch this after hearing Patrick McKenna speak on ADD today.
me trying to watch this for the 3rd time: damn what are those spinny rides called? shit hold on i gotta go look this up
i love this but WHY DID YOU FILM AT A CARNIVAL
I want to watch the video called UNOFFICIAL ADHD QUIZ, RICK GREEN COMEDIAN.
SOMEBODY TURNED IT PRIVATE. 😓☹️☹️
IT WAS HYSTERICAL AND SO ACCURATE. ❤️
I am here trying to find the video titled 10 Reasons you can know you're NOT adhd that I watched not so long ago. It was the perfect way to share with another that I recognise has the same symptoms as me. That video so effectively shut up the voices in back of my mind that constantly question my diagnosis. I need to share it and the benefits it brings. Does anyone know why it has been made private? Hello!!!?? Rick????
Rick is no longer associated with TotallyADD - See totallyadd.com/videos/
Well thanks for answering my inquiry. I'm off to search for Rick being in need of his humour and reassuring style.

AWESOME documentary! :) I love it!
My niece on Ritalin at the age of 3 pulled out ALL OF HER EYELASHES AND EYEBROWS.
I pulled my eyelashes out when I was a kid and my 23 y/o daughter did this too when she was a teenager. But we weren’t taking anything medication wise...just went thru a lot of stress. I feel like such a bad parent...I didn’t know until now what all of this was. I could’ve helped her if I had known these signs. We are estranged now...but this explains why we can’t find our way back or trust eachother.
It is called trichotillomania. Can be comorbid with adhd and or anxiety
Love documentary, but find this clappy music a little irritating.
Corrine Norton Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching!
Corrine Norton doop doop doo doo doopadoopadoopoodoo
+Corrine Norton I scrolled down 10 seconds after that music started to make that comment too... all I hear is PIANOPIANOPIANO CLAPCLAPCLAP
Horrible music. Not everything needs music. This is awful!!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this documentary. It was the catalyst that lead me to get tested for ADHD which I was diagnosed as having. Getting diagnosed has improved my quality of life. I recommend watching this if you think you or someone you love has ADHD. I recommend watching it if you are a teacher for any age group - K-12, college or adult education. AND - good luck to my fellow ADDers...I tried to get my mom to watch it with me and she kept getting distracted. After 4 hours of her getting up and down from her chair I finally turned off the documentary (it's not that long, but I paused it every time she left the room) and I don't think she heard or saw any content in the film, even when she was sitting in her chair watching. :( Sadly that's just a part of the disorder.
Maria, wow, so incredibly glad we could make a positive difference in your life!!!
+Maria Twedt Thank you so much for this feedback. We're so glad we could help.
@@RickHasADHD hello Rick and thank you for sharing the information that has reset my life. Please make that funny and invaluable video Symptoms that show you Are NOT ADHD first question was about fulfilling potential. I need to share it with select folks who I think are undiagnosed ADHDs.
You are right. The reality is that hundreds of studies have shown there are literally no positive things about being ADHD. Many people with ADHD happen have gifts they are good at, but they have those gifts in spite of the disorder, not because of it. If ADHD is to be taken as the serious disorder it is by the general public, it can't be touted as a gift. As long as it is, people will denigrate it as being inconsequential, or even a moral shortcoming, which is just patently false.
bummer man, and I thought I was special
For me it seems to be misnamed it’s actually an executive functioning and emotional disregulation disorder not one specifically attention specific
THANK YOU
Now I know I'm ADD. Next time won't you.....where are my shoes?
You can rent it for 7 days form Amazon.com for about &1.99 I think.

Treatment for ADHD does NOT have to be pharmaceutical stimulants! You can do just as much by using some basic nutritional supplementation. Fish Oil and a Multi-V! I was irritable and uncomfortably focused on every ADD med I was put on. There is another way people, and you don't have to buy in to this rhetoric.
It's not enjoyable, but you can enjoy certain aspects if you put them in a certain light. However, I don't think anyone who has ADD/ADHD "loves it" to the degree the host seems to suggest.
The opinion(s) of one/few person(s) with a certain condition do/es not represent the opinions of ALL with the same/similar conditions...
Just diagnosed this year age 40 there are some good things but quite a few negatives still fighting to work in the field
of my passion to turn my life around
13 years old, so likely no answer - Does anyone know why about 20% of us do not respond to the Stimulants - And is there a work around? Thanks all
“Aspirin would be more dangerous than Ritalin?” What about Adderall?
That music was the worst. Is there some reason the people could just talk without the overpowering jazz riffs?
I'm watching this while watching the movie. I'm not ADD...
@imaginewrldpeace I wish I could find this documentary somewhere on the internet...and I don't think it is airing on television anymore.
I have ADD and I'm not loving it.
Its hard to focus with that music.
Aspirin would be more what than ritalin???
i though when IT mean computers
aaahhhhhggggggeeee! um could you not have things whirling around? trying to listen to the guy and having the fair rides in the background means i didnt hear anything. over the years i can watch the hands move around and hear the words but whirly things in the background are like important killing the guy talking stuff and i cant focus on the guy talking. oh well i will try again and again and again.
Ditch the piano music over the voices, it's distracting. And yes, I do have ADD.. Unwatchable.
