It is sometimes hard to imagine how you can be so positive after such a tragedy and yet you are so positive I can’t even imagine.
As a TBI survivor, this is extremely encouraging and i am really glad to have come across this today.
I love how she says, "Choosing to dry off our wings." It doesn't just happen, we have to make that decision.

This is beautiful. As I went through my own journey with spinal cord injuries, breast cancer, one life threatening health issue after another and multiple at the same piled on top of another and constantly battling to be heard while yet another strange or rare diagnosis was added or my chemo medication caused another form of cancer cells to start growing I didn’t know how I could get through this. It became daily conversations with God and giving him control and asking for strength and guidance as yet another complication was added. My Guardian Angels were working overtime and had been through most of my life. It was rather eye opening to nearly die 6 different times during a 3-4 year span and to suddenly be able to see each time that they had stepped in to help prevent something worse from happening and to protect me along the way. God has always been a huge part of my life from a very young age and I have always felt close to him and knew that he was watching over me and blessing me with little miracles along my journey starting with the day I was born at 34 weeks gestation back in 1965 when they didn’t have a NICU and most preemies didn’t make it. I was my mother ‘s second preemie and my sister who arrived at 32 weeks only had a feeding tube after being taken to a children’s hospital an hour away from home. Surprisingly I didn’t need anything. I was 4lb and 11 oz and a whopping 16 inches long. I only spent a week in the hospital and went home with my mother. I was also the first baby of the New Year for the city where we lived. I have always had a thing with Angels and butterflies and had collected pictures and figurines and this became a bigger connection and a symbol of my journey because like you l was changing and on a journey of finding the new me after everything I had been going through and trying to figure out who I was and who I was becoming. I am still a work in progress, but I am getting there.

This is really inspiring! I'm going through some unwelcome changes in my life and from one moment to the next I often feel like a wet butterfly. With God's help I'll learn how to fly in my new life. God bless

What a brave lady. We're all just one fall / accident away from a wheelchair. My uncle had polio and he had an operation that left him paralyzed. Para. He was in a wheelchair for many years and would often get pressure sores and UTI's. He was for the most part upbeat but he did have his moments. I miss his wonderful spirit. Hope to see him again some day. He was a wonderful, kind, caring soul.

So sorry that this accident happened to you but thank God that you are a very unique person to have such a radiant and positive personality to overcome the effects of your accident and to having a happy life, even being paralyzed. You are an amazing inspiration. People who are always grouchy and have unpleasant attitudes about life should watch your videos and maybe learn from you.
I see and hear people moan and complain about the most trivial things ( ie. The supermarket have run out of my fav sauce)

I am a 77 year old woman who is crippled. I have had 28 surgeries on my legs and now I can barely walk a walk with a walker or I am in my wheelchair. It depends on how my body is that day. You make me ashamed of myself for feeling like I wanted to give up. I truly wish I could meet you in person as you are a real inspiration ❤. God Bless you.

I watch with happiness for your enthusiasm, but also sadness an I remember my brother. He passed away 1 year ago. He was a C3 quadriplegic from age 19. He could pretty much do nothing for himself, but he battled on for 39 years. He had a wonderful life, getting married, having two beautiful children and even going to university. He never complained, he just said that there is no point, it won't change anything. He will always be with me forever, never forgotten.

covenant nan, I am so sorry for the issues you are dealing with. I'm 63 and have been dealing with gealth issues for most of my life. Twenty years ago, my husband was disabled in a catastrophic accident at work which turned our world upside down. He is your age a d now has substance-induced dementia. I'm not complaining but, life isn't easy for us on most days and there are some days when I am ready to just give up. These past few months have been extra difficult, for several reasons, bit I see the Lord's hand in everything. Without these trials and the incredible knowledge I have attained, I would not have been able to be of service to as many others as I have been able to be. Hmm, that sentence looks weird but I will leave it the way it is. I came upon this video by chance, or was it chance? This special young woman has inspired me so very much! What courage and what faith! I hope you have a good day and may God bless you always.

Thanks for sharing . Growing up from age 13 my best friend got shot and became a quad. We remained friends until his death at age 40 and believe me when I say I learned all about the life of someone who was a quad which wasn't any different from my own except for the extra care both medical and lifestyle changes he had to have . One thing he did experience was not continuing to have growth and development on into his adult life. ie marriage children and mental growth. Doctors and drugs was the way he numbed his mental pain but his injury or condition made it his way of coping unfortunately. It's refreshing to see you have continued to grow and live your life and adapt where you must to live. Please don't let the tough times keep you down and never give up on life even though at times we can't see it life will always be a precious gift meant to live for all. Your husband must be amazing and love you unconditionally. Don't ever quit

It’s those damn beautiful mountains that hypnotize ya! I was Rock Climbing in Shenandoah then on the rappel back down, started showing off for my buddies. Woke up at bottom of beautiful cliff face with fractured L3,4&5. Good news was I landed right between 2 boulders, either of which would have killed me.
