I was so frustrated because I pressed on the words and not the 0. This activated the timer. Seeing the difference between the clock display and the timer display made all the difference! Thank you so much!!!!

Omg THANK YOU. Ours the manual says hold 9 and 0 and I have been trying off and on for hours to figure out how to fix it for daylight savings.
I also noticed yours has clearly visible writing for clock set below the zero but mine its invisible unless you get like 6 inches away from the panel (which is at the back of the cooktop under a range hood between cabinets)

I ended up here because doing what the owner's manual for our new stove said it wasn't working... So I wouldn't blame yourself too hard given mine was incorrectly documented and the "hint" grey-on-grey printing on mine is unreadable without laying across the burners up close holding a flashlight.
