Indian top order usually struggles a lot when the pitch is bowler friendly! The top 3 - Rohit, Kohli, Rohit, Shikhar didn't even look like they could chase the target let alone the rest.
They were not ready to take any risks...240 was a below par score...But they should have carried some aggression in the beginning same as they have done that in the first odi

I think Roy is having a hard time with white ball at the moment so it was nice to see him get his eye in and score some valuable runs. Also, Willey is an underrated all rounder that has shown his skills in county cricket many times. England performed well today despite facing a class bowling attack and it was nice to see Buttler’s first win leading as white ball captain!

@@animesh5005 Flat pitches offer very little assistance for bowlers which won't even trouble batsmen. Easily 300+ scores could have been scored. But I don't think England gave such 300+ score pitch in both the matches.

During the innings break, Anderson pointed out that the score was not enough but Topley and others made it difficult for the Indian batters so much so that some rash shots were played with 23 overs left to play that cost the team in the end.

When England were 148/6, my gut feeling was that India should knock off Eng for 180. Because Lords has been a tough chasing ground in recent past.
But we were very casual allowing the tail to play nearly 20 overs and get 100 runs.

England were 102/5 at one stage and India were totally dominating at that moment. But England managing to score 246 was a brilliant effort from them, especially from Moeen and Willey.
Still I was confident that India will chase the target down but it turned out otherwise. There's very less chance that India could bounce back from such a setback. 100 runs loss is a big margin.
