This takes no tools to install but a screwdriver for the charger box swap. You can tap off the dash 12v if you drop the glove box and can reach the plug and feed it behind and into the center console via the removal of the passenger side trim below it. You got all these people tearing apart their trucks for no damn reason.
@@boostautopartsyour video did help me figure out some stuff but it literally took longer to unbox than install my way. Feel free you use it if your team sees fit. Hope it helps you guys and the customers for future installations. Reach out if you need more details.
The charger draws very little power when not in use and will NOT drain the battery even after months of sitting. You can manually turn it off by pressing and holding the sub-flush button for 3 seconds if you are concerned.
While some heat is normal during the inductive wireless charging process, we have built-in safety measures to ensure your phone does not overheat while charging. Our wireless chargers have a thermal cut-off switch to detect abnormal temperatures and cut power to the charger to protect from overheating. If you feel that the heat generated by your phone or wireless charger is excessive, please immediately turn off and unplug the charger and provide notice to our Support team.
We don't advertise fitment for a 2012 Expedition, but if you want to email your VIN and some pictures of your console to sales@boostautoparts.com we can have our team take a look.
