This. There's no other game that has such interesting map design like TC:F had. Simply walking through the map itself was such a joy to me. The sound design was so good too. Waiting out the storm in a run down house was one of the coolest things ever. I hope I get to experience that again some day somehow.

I miss this game. Sometimes I listen to the soundtracks, sometimes I review concepts and screenshots. I even decided to start my own mini-comic, inspired by The CYCLE (I'm still working on the plot, I haven't started the comic). I miss this atmosphere, I'm waiting for the full game to return.
Please just please do a SPT tarkov and allow us, the community, who loved TCF to launch servers locally and play. As much as I truly love PVP and it's all I've played over the years, let the community make mods and the game won't even need PVP, I'm sure someone can create AI prospectors themselves.

Not the streamers that complete all the quests in a week, playing 24/7 and then demanding " More content ! It's boring now ! It’s been almost a year since the servers were shutdown. There hasn’t been a day that goes by where I don’t think about The Cycle. It was easily the smoothest, most well designed extraction shooter out there. I know this is a tribute but it will hardly fill the void that The Cycle Frontier has left.

It's nice that this exists as a souvenir of the game, but it still would be nice if the TCF was somehow accessible. I know it's very unlikely, but maybe there are other paths to explore? Tarkov has shown that PvE mode in this type of game can be successful. If not as a PvP online game (that requires constant dev attention, balancing, fighting cheaters and a flow of steady updates), then maybe The Cycle: Frontier could be one day brought back as a buy-to-play self-hosted single player / coop game with improved PvE aspects and AI prospectors? Add more PvE goals like station upgrades, make our characters kind of "overseers" of the whole station, let us choose which faction can expand their businesses and take over the empty booths, put in more items to collect, add some collectibles, challenges, randomized quests (from random NPCs in the bar), add some upgrade paths for the station, apartment and the player character. There's plenty of ideas. That could be sort of "one-time project" to make use of the content that you guys already have, without having to take care of the servers, cheaters and so on. I certainly wouldn't mind that...

All they had to do was either add a Solo queue mode and/or revert the team changes and the game would still be alive. They were stubborn though and let it die.

Enabled more content to be pushed out For a game that had me hooked from the beginning, I would have easily spent $40+ and still would. The Cycle was a breath of fresh air in the stagnant looter shooter genre. I've never obsessed over a game as much as I did TCF. Season 1 was magic and I devoted admittedly way too much time into that amazing game. As you can see in the comments please bring it back. Those who were playing the game would happily pay to play the game, which would also solve a lot of the cheater issues that killed the game by season 2. I mean it's just not viable for them, they would have to remake contracts with anti-cheat providers, server hosts and a lot more just for a small chance that the game has a revival, really not worth it for them.

I think this is a really cool concept to pay tribute to the cycle frontier, however, I along with so many people know the cycle frontier was the most unique extraction shooter that I’ve ever played. The core gameplay was amazing, although it had some kinks, it was the most fun game I’ve ever played, and nothing will fill the void of playing cycle frontier. It was hands down the best extraction shooter ever made (Gameplay wise) and I wish it was bigger than it was. You could die for 5 hours straight and still have a reason to drop back in loot up and get some kits back. It was amazing, the map design, creatures, weapons, the whole 9 yards. I will forever miss The Cycle: Frontier 😢

Idk if anyone here is just missing the fact this is a tribute. Yager as a company has clearly moved on. the people that worked on this are hardly involved in the decision making there. This is better than nothing and it's free, remaking the game would have been a monumental task and it's not about just the finance despite that obviously contributing.
we want the cycle again! the best looter extract, but unique mechanics and gameplay. tarkov and arena breakout is not enough, pve and pvp in the cycle is unique!
I guess it is bittersweet in a way that the Yager really did want to see The Cycle flourish, but ever since it's shutdown last year, developing another one would probably be a waste of time and resources for a game that will probably end up as before so they decided to do it in Fortnite instead, as a way to test the waters I suppose.

"The Cycle: Frontier" is not a failed game; it's incredibly fun and addictive. The only mistake was the free-to-play model, which allowed a multitude of cheaters to cheat without any cost. Moreover, with a paid model, even if there are cheaters, when their accounts are banned, they would need to repurchase, which indirectly increases your revenue-why not take advantage of that? We need "The Cycle: Frontier" to make a comeback, and all it would take is to switch from free to a paid purchase model. Introducing random events in the game at regular intervals, such as the random appearance of certain monsters on the map that can be defeated to obtain special materials, or adding armed AI to make the game more unpredictable, could prevent the game from becoming too monotonous. This would make the entire gaming experience more enjoyable and less boring.

I mean it's just not viable for them, they would have to remake contracts with anti-cheat providers, server hosts and a lot more just for a small chance that the game has a revival, really not worth it for them.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love the game back, but it's unrealistic.

I miss old TC:F, its atmosphere, design with the smallest details and its tactility. I don't see it here... Anyway, great respect to those who did it.

i don't get why yager hasn't realised that the game was loved. no other game has this many people longing for its return after it shut down, and all of these people would be willing to pay stupid prices to get it. it's not normal for a game to have this many people who still love it after it's gone, which shows that it was something very special and something that no other game can replicate. please bring the cycle: frontier back.
I think this is a really cool concept to pay tribute to the cycle frontier, however, I along with so many people know the cycle frontier was the most unique extraction shooter that I’ve ever played. The core gameplay was amazing, although it had some kinks, it was the most fun game I’ve ever played, and nothing will fill the void of playing cycle frontier. It was hands down the best extraction shooter ever made (Gameplay wise) and I wish it was bigger than it was. You could die for 5 hours straight and still have a reason to drop back in loot up and get some kits back. It was amazing, the map design, creatures, weapons, the whole 9 yards. I will forever miss The Cycle: Frontier 😢

Yager as a company has clearly moved on. the people that worked on this are hardly involved in the decision making there.
This is better than nothing and it's free, remaking the game would have been a monumental task and it's not about just the finance despite that obviously contributing.

they had a good game they just made it free and cheaters killed it, you act like the files got deleted
we want the cycle again! the best looter extract, but unique mechanics and gameplay. tarkov and arena breakout is not enough, pve and pvp in the cycle is unique!
I guess it is bittersweet in a way that the Yager really did want to see The Cycle flourish, but ever since it's shutdown last year, developing another one would probably be a waste of time and resources for a game that will probably end up as before so they decided to do it in Fortnite instead, as a way to test the waters I suppose.

"The Cycle: Frontier" is not a failed game; it's incredibly fun and addictive. The only mistake was the free-to-play model, which allowed a multitude of cheaters to cheat without any cost. Moreover, with a paid model, even if there are cheaters, when their accounts are banned, they would need to repurchase, which indirectly increases your revenue-why not take advantage of that? We need "The Cycle: Frontier" to make a comeback, and all it would take is to switch from free to a paid purchase model. Introducing random events in the game at regular intervals, such as the random appearance of certain monsters on the map that can be defeated to obtain special materials, or adding armed AI to make the game more unpredictable, could prevent the game from becoming too monotonous. This would make the entire gaming experience more enjoyable and less boring.
