Zane has the ultimate mlp strategy. Play terribly before the draft so people think he’s washed so he gets drafted later to a team with better players so they don’t waste a high pick on him, get drafted to a team with a top 2 woman in the world who looks unstoppable, and then absolutely show up in the biggest way possible once again proving he’s the mlp goat. Its genius
Are you serious? He played well in the Dreambreaker, but one could argue that they wouldn’t have needed a dreambreaker round if he didn’t play like doo doo in his other games. Even though his team won-thanks to awesome playing from the ladies-Zane didn’t play well overall in this tournament. Had some good moments, but was overall pretty terrible. Nothing personal, just the truth.
@wolf-xf6hf ah, yeah, otherwise known as sandbagging 😀. I think he always stayed awesome, several players just surpassed him. And the better players and up with the better partners. He surely has great partners on his team.
He has not had a great year actually look at his record . How many medals has he won in the PPA ? Even in the finals he lost in mens Doubles and won only 2 of the first 6 p[oints in singles coming into that last 3 points he won in a row, but was clutch against a tired Jimmy. Zane is ranked 22 in mens doubles and 23 in mixed doubles in the PPA . Great guy and good player.
@@stat41952 Gold in Dallas, and this win for him..... that's a good year so far. HGe's hanging with the best players in the world, his sponsorships are up, he's able to support himself playing PB and doesn't have to count beans, and his podcast and social media are trending. I'm comparing Zane to Zane, not to Ben. And 22 and 23 in the top 100 is'nt bad, not to mention the hundreds of pro wanabes below that.
Amazing match capping off an amazing tournament! I don’t have a team to root for, but I find myself rooting against DC almost always - they just seem like the bad guys / annoying
@@ethanhegge why? You have heard all of them yell after a point right? Both AB and ALW can scream and flail after a win like a broken record with the best of them--i am not interested in comparisons, just observations of similarities
The dreambreaker is a cool idea (but a lame name, IMO). Unfortunately some times it doesn't deliver though, since it sends up being alot of matches against people who never play singles, so the rallies end up being short and kinda lame. That's what happened here I think.
Surprised ALW doesn't play left side in MLP women's doubles. Since moving exclusively to left side over the last 4 tournaments with CP they have not even had a close match.
@@JosephTMyers But they have lost 1 match in 18 months playing 50-50 % left and right. If what you say is so true then why has ALW become the left side player 100% of the time over the last 2 months?. The answer is like top male players play left side because she can dominate the match totally from the left side. And no one has come close since she moved there 100% of the time.
And she plays right in MLP because Humberg's main weapon is the backhand flick. Which is much more utilized on the left. AL can be dangerous on either side because of her 2-handed backhand which is by far the best on the women's side.
Realize what I am going to say is not a big deal - but rules and rules - in Dreambreaker, Dekel should lose point for throwing paddle in kitchen and Zane's foot entered kitchen on last point just as ball bounced twice. If Zane were struggling to stay outside the kitchen and then fell in, it would have been called - but once everyone ran on the court no way ref was making that call.
Zane was absolutely fully “established” outside of kitchen, taking multiple balanced steps before entering the kitchen upon celebration. You’re allowed to enter the kitchen once you re-establish
The ball bouncing twice makes no difference. If player off balance falls into kitchen even after play is over loses the point on a fault. He must regain balance before stepping in kitchen.
Man all the pros play so weird, and a lot of people me or me and my buddy vs. I’m telling u man. Why does every body play up by kitchen, like how many people do I have to destroy singles or doubles dic, I have dominated every single person I play, indoor or outdoor, pickleball doubles with my buddy, we never lost or singles, I still never lost. People playing up is so bad. Playing back way back baseline is the way to play. Man better safer more fun. U get so much more time to react to the ball better positioning better ball placement angles too. Me and my by buddy have mastered every single spin shot there is wicked spin. If you play up and just me singles or me and my buddy doubles, if we’re back, we’re hitting power shots at you with wicked spin and if it hits u sorry, it’s your own fault, your in the strike zone. And with are wicked spin shots we’re gonna hit it straight at u or down the middle or those corner outside lines man works like a charm. Or we’re gonna lob over your head, then u run back, then we drop shot, then over your head, then drop shot, then power wicked spin shot, then drop shot, then wicked spin shot like your done. And by the time we hit are wicked spin shot, your racket when it makes contact with the ball is gonna go 4 different ways either into the net or u miss the ball because it curved or whatever or the ball will go out or the ball goes over and you get it, the ball will most likely be a drop shot, then we just lob over your head and we keep going. And let the ball bounce always u have so much more control over the ball but if you hit it in mid air it’s random u never know what your gonna get. But pickleball is a great game.

Top 2 woman?
Nvm I understand
31:52 Two insane defensive blocks from AL to stay in the point and then win the point. Absolutely bonkers how she got either of them.
Was happy to see Zane clench the last point, he's having a good year.

Mlp handle the audio issues guys. Dream breaker of the final and you can’t get the audio to sink up its embarrassing for the sport
Oh Dennis Miller is a MLP announcer now
Why is there a baby goat in the crowd?
The question literally answers itself
ALW is the GOAT and she is also the baby (17 years old) on the court 😊
Only 80K price money for championship? Is it too little, comparing to tennis?
Is it 80 k for whole team? Or each person? I hope for each person.
Who thinks pickleball should be in the Olympics?
Rachel Rohrebachers screech is the most annoying thing in pickleball.
screech? you sure that's the right word for it?
no wait, after listening to it repeatedly i do here the Red Tail Hawk in it😂
was much worse when her and anna bright were on the same team

2nd to Ignatowinch’,s jumping jitters. 🙂
Awesome!👍👏
If I served like DB I’d probably be called for a fault. Just looks weird to me. I guess refs see better than I do.
