Them advents look like good tires for my quads they don’t give up ground clearance for where I ride mostly I been looking for some good tires for both of them that hit the sweet spot to be able to slide and grip when you need it, it’s between them advents and Xc masters now since this video I also love black rims in general Especially beed lock black wheels just like that mx tires you ran. But great video from you and the Con y’all make something special every time y’all makes something for sure brother!
So many tire choices now days good to see some reviews on tires that aren’t so much the popular normal I guess or are they haha? I have yet to get my sport atv but I am close lol. Thanks Pete for all you do for this community. Im 34 and plan to get back into it! Have my old man 16’ Sportsman 850 as well but I grew up riding race/sport quads nd your videos made me want to ride the sport atv again. I do love the yfz450 also. 🇨🇦🍻. I don’t comment often but been watching for a long time.
Great comparison vid . I think they'd make an even bigger diffrence on tackier dirt. It's hard to tell on sand sometimes. They look like great tires and are gaining a lot of riders.
hi Peter good video I liked it, I have a pair of mx 18” tires I like but I exchanged them for the itp holeshot 20” because I think mx18” is for hard track surfaces right? i the 20” is it better on a soft track perhaps? What do you think in your openion? thank you very much
Just bought the Obor Advents for my Raptor 700R a couple weeks ago. Have ran stock and ITP Holeshots on it previously. Good tire overall but a little disappointed in how much they spin when you give the quad lots of throttle. Seems like they lag for a half a second and the quad revs up then they hook and you go.
I'm running the holeshots on my trx 250ex and they are decent for the power it's making. But once the treads get clogged with mud then your screwed but they hook up good on hard compacted dirt
problem with go8ng to light with psi on mx set up on trails ull bottom out ur rims. I run 5.5 n the front 4.5 n back. seems like 5 n the front at I could feel my rims bang off rocks through the tire
They were ordered through Rocky Mountain. Hopefully they're available now, a friend of mine just picked up a set of them for his Honda and they arrived a few days ago from Rocky Mountain 👍
@@PeteHager of course! i think i’m going to start making some little videos in the woods in my neighborhood. you inspire me more than anyone else. second would have to be mike sabo. but the quality of your content is just so amazing so one day i hope i could do something like what you do. have a good day pete, ride safe man🤟
@@aidenhall5273 you can tell the front tires from the back tires by their width and rim size. You would have to add 2 fronts to your cart and then 2 rears. The regular advent fronts are the 23x7x10, 22x7x10, and 21x7x10. The rears are 22x11x9, 20x11x9, or 20x11x8. They’re measured in inches. The 1st number is the height, the 2nd number is the width, and the 3rd number is the rim size. Pretty much all machines come with a 10inch front rim and a 9inch rear rim. The front shocks are OEM tuned and rebuilt by Rocket Ron. The rear shock is stock. I had some plans for it that fell through for the time being. I’ve been very happy with Ron’s work so far 👍
Because they are much lighter, better suited for aggressive riding, and not much slower (a couple of bolt ons will make them just as fast. better handling in air… must I go on. love the Rappys but they aren’t near as aggressive as the 450s
id love to ride in some places you do one day! also would love a set of mx wheels and tires lol ;) check out my 450rse here ruclips.net/video/T7-G392dI7o/видео.html
Thanks for all the trust and support! You guys really killed this project 👏
Thanks for giving us the opportunity! I’m excited to do more rides with your tires 👌🤘
Nothing feels as good as real mx tire set up, it really brings the handling alive in the mx quads
Love the review content! Great video as always Pete!!! Might have to try Obor one day, currently on GBC and pretty happy with them.
Glad you did this video, about to pick out some new tires for my 08 Yfz450.
Another great video Pete. The track at Appleton looks really nice right now definitely need to get out there soon
Haha gotta love those classic gold rims. Thanks for the reviews Pete. As soon as we're ready to order new tires they will be coming from you!
Always a good day when Pete uploads
Great review and video, I’m definitely interested in the Obor tires for my next set.
I’ve always loved the ITP holeshots may check those out
I'd enjoy seeing the mx tires on the 400ex for sure. I've always wanted to try a small tire setup. Love the content...keep it coming Pete. 🤘
14:56 awesome shot man I love obor tires they are a very good mx and trail tire

Thanks for the review. You can't beat the price of Obors either--Maxxis and ITP have gotten super expensive.
Put a set of these obor advent on. They done great. Only got 1 good ride on them so far.. They dig pretty good..
Great comparison vid . I think they'd make an even bigger diffrence on tackier dirt. It's hard to tell on sand sometimes. They look like great tires and are gaining a lot of riders.
I got advents for my trx450. I race xc very disappointed in the rears. The fronts are great. Switched to gbc ground busters best tire made
that place looks amazing good review men 👌🏼 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

V shape forward, they definitely track forward better, if you tried them the opposite direction you'd definitely feel the difference.

Hey Pete! I'm got a really important question. Me and my dad have a 1998 Yamaha Blaster 200, is it worth it fixing up?
anything is worth fixing as long as you had a lot of fun on it
YES I HAVE ON TO. It blew up and we fixed it and toned it now it runs better than every
I'm currently fixing a 2008 ltz400 love that 4 wheeler
Good to know! Thanks!

Hey Pete where did you get your sand paddles for the yfz? I know the rear is 20/10/9 and can’t seem to find any online.

Pete, Yahoo- aazing ,take care,
best quad content on youtube.
Thanks man!

Those 18s would spin alot less on a less loose soil composition, a hard pack track would do them justice
need to restock your shirts !!!!!
Are you ever going to get a honda trx700xx and review it because not many people do it's all about Yamaha
I haven't had the opportunity to try one out yet! Hopefully someday!🤞😬
@@PeteHager if you were in Australia ill tell you to jump on mine I know the quad is old now but there is still alot of things to be done to them
They are soo rare too come by in the states. Even if you do see one it'll most likely be a show boat and won't see any proper riding.
This is off topic but What brand is your seat cover bro? Is real nice
It's a fourwerx seat cover 👍
Idk if this is a dumb questing if we buy the Tyers of your website when selected tyer are you only paying for one or all 4 ?
No such thing as a dumb question, you select your size and then pick the quantity afterwards. They’re priced per tire 😊👍
@@PeteHager so if I pick 4 will that be 2 front and 2 back ?

Can actually hear the engine working harder with the Advents. Very indicative of the traction difference. I think I may go with these on the Raptor.
That’s why pros run smaller tires more aggressive tread. except GNCC racers for obvious reasons

I’m not sure if you’ll answer, but I really want to know what rims your running on the advants Mx tires
The rears are GPS single beadlocks 👍
@@PeteHager alright, I love those rims a lot!

Wow power full idol
bring back the raptor. #RAPTOR IS BETTER THAN YFZ
I agree not sure why people like 450s
Waiting on some special parts for the Raptor and then I'll be on it much more regularly 😁
Because they are much lighter, better suited for aggressive riding, and not much slower (a couple of bolt ons will make them just as fast.

The only thing the stock rear tires are good for is 250 ice screws each. 🤣🤣🤘🏻🤘🏻
Lol thats what I plan on using them for, I have the studs ready to go 😅
I was surprised how well the screws worked. Those picked tires you have are insane!!🤣🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@nscooz745 the snowmobile studded tires work super well but if anything I’d rather slide more and have less traction overall 😅
Hell yeah! I’d hate to get ran over by those. 🤣🤣
e bite, lol
It’s not a mud bike so why a mud test?? Save the sport quads!!
