This is love at any cost...her dignity, self respect. The heart wants what the heart wants. Sometimes we don't have a choice if we don't fight against it.
It's not mature love if there's no respect. Love without respect is just childish infatuation. It doesn't matter if the heart wants what it wants. That's not a healthy way to make an important life decision and get together with someone who has betrayed you. What the FL should have done was cut this guy out of her life entirely and focus on herself. Why does a woman think she has no self-worth without a man? Why does she have to be with anyone at all in order to live a satisfying, fulfilling life? The message here is sexist and unhealthy: sacrifice your self respect.

I have watched the whole series. The male lead ignores the female lead for the first half for the scheming woman. Then the male and female lead get back together. Again the scheming woman comes back in the name of marrying the male lead’s brother, then the male lead abandons the female lead and even goes to an extent to break up with her for the sake of scheming woman. Later the male lead pursues back the female lead.
The only consolation in this series is that from the beginning the female lead is portrayed as a strong woman who stands on her own, helds her self esteem and reverts back to her successful career after her patience is tested.
But at the end, as all Chinese dramas think that a happy ending means nothing the leads getting together here also the female lead reunites with the male lead, which is quite disappointing.
Liked the beginning but they messed this up when she kept on coming back to him
I saw the series and I know the ending, but this part where they push her to the ground and he picks up the girlfriend and carries her in his arms, leaving her lying there, and the part in the hospital the upset woman asks him to practically hand over the boyfriend to her and he He grabs the hand, and the boyfriend doesn't react and keeps asking his girlfriend for time, they gave me a stomach ache. Although I wouldn't have taken him back if I were her, I still admire her courage. Yet, since she has always had an accurate assessment of the things that are wrong in their relationship, I can choose to believe that she will let go at the right time if necessary.

Jamás entenderé esta necesidad de los escritores por hacer que la protagonista a pesar de todo lo que padeció y sufrió por culpa del protagonista, se quede con el al final. Es ridículo y absurdo. No es amor, sino una dependencia que tacha en la obsesión y romantizar esa situación es nocivo.
Este drama no es nada diferente a los mini dramas tóxicos cuya trama redunda en los malos tratos que recibe la protagonista para al final perdonarlo porque el amor es tan puro que lo vence todo.

I agree with you. These types of drama are often written by men. I'm a writer and a few years ago I did an analysis of Hallmark movies. Hallmark movies are very popular in the United States and a lot of studios want to copy their formula. They are stupid unrealistic romance. What I discovered was, 90% of their scripts were written by older white men and 10%was written by men of color and a few female writers. It's very difficult for female writers to get their work produced. The industry is controlled by men, who producing films for a female audience and this is the garbage they come up with. It's really sad.

the men in these Chinese dramas are always more deeply concerned for any other woman except their wife/gf they make other women the center of their lives and are SHOCKED when their wife/gf becomes upset or wants to break up, they're devastated because they expect their wife/gf to be completely understanding and ACCEPTING of his relationship with the other woman because he's "just trying to be a good person and help her" This is the plot of so many of these dramas that it has to be common in this culture The ex or other woman is always more important. begs the question why the hell are you with your wife/gf if another woman is so important to you? and then the wife/gf takes the guy back like nothing happened after all the bs and outright disrespect he put her through . Who knows what goes through the writers mind but this must be a common thing in the culture.
After living a long life i learned a lesson a early on. You can never, ever go back. If one cheated in the relationship there will never be trust again. The party that was chested on could never trust them again & the cheater will always be thinking in their mind, are they gonna get back at me??? Then the accusing one another comes into play. So, explain to me why theese dramas always shows a couple getting back together when thats the furthest from the truth. Make a drama that shows the hard cold truth. THINK before you lose what you got.

Happy ending???!!!!! This guy treats her very abusively and she goes back to him even though she deserves better. That's not a "happy" ending, that's an unhealthy conclusion. Abuse, betrayal, abandonment, lies, are not acceptable.
