I know this isn't the wrestling centric channel, but an honorable mention has to go to the career path in WWE SmackDown vs. Raw where if you say no to Vince's help in the world title match it bars you from winning. Your opponent with never tap out, Vince will never count the pin, can't get DQed. You just have to take the loss. Good video as always tho lads.
Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core As final fantasy fans, we know that zack must die by the end but his character is so awesome and well crafted that we are brought to tears as we are forced to die.
Such a great list there were so many games I love on it this time! DMC5, MGS3...I thought immediately of the MJ dance battle from Yakuza and THERE IT WAS!! Another bad boy Kojima unbeatable boss is Sam from Metal Gear Rising, your BFF's always got you covered Ben👌
What about "The Impossible Lair" in "Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair"? It is made to be failed as you have to do it near immediately. It is doable, if you are a Platformer God, or later as a Platformer God (with bees).
Another for the Metal Gear series is Fortune in MGS2 she deflects all bullets so you just have to survive a certain amount of time whilst she destroys the room around you (a showcase for the then revolutionary power of the PS2)
Yu gi oh Forbidden memories was a bugger. You had to lose to this one guy to progress in the story. Even if you win somehow he challenges you repeatedly until you lose
I'd put the 'unwinnable' battle against Henshin in Yu-Gi-OH Forbidden Memories on the PSX on this list, but then again, that whole game is sort of 'unwinnable'. lol
The first Golden Sun game has a "boss fight" during the prologue that is unbeatable. Even if you cheat and manage to beat them, the result is still the same. There is also a fight in Skies of Arcadia against a boss named Ramirez that is unbeatable. Those are the two most notable to me.
Oh yeah, here we go: SPORTS TIME! NBA 2k11 forces your first game to be the game 1 of the 1991 NBA Finals as the Bulls vs. the Lakers. The AI will force you to lose by keeping the score close and forcing Michael Jordan to commit a penalty in the final seconds of the game, causing a loss in accordance with the actual game.
i have no problem with unbeatable fights, if they fit the narrative... what i have a serious issue with are fights you win,.. and the following cutscene has you loose them despite you winning in the first place. thats bs, and destroys the narrative way more than having an unbeatable fight in the first place
This is one of my biggest pet peeves in video games. Mainly because it ends up being a big waste of time. If, narratively, the players is supposed to lose, just make it a cutscene. Don't make us try our damnedest to win/beat something/someone when it's all for not. The character's struggle and the player's struggle are not the same. Just show us the loss, and move on.
This list slaps richard. Thanks Ben and Sharna!
Crisis core came straight to mind...
Edit: Btw That Hellblade game looks amazing, never even heard of it. Although I am I bit behind console wise lol
It is visually interesting and a doable Platinum trophy.
Walrus Clan assemble.

MegaMan X and that damn Vile intro fight.. I swear, I could totally beat him without Zero's help.
Keep on slapping those Richards
This list absolutely slaps Richard

Enjoyed the list. Thanks.
Feeling so Halo: Reach triggered right now
The Jackson estate should sue, given how hard they've fought previous Miracle Johnson allegations.
I really hope that they are doing a Remaster for Demon's Souls, because I would love to get a 2nd chance at that demon from the start of the game.

Did this list slap Richard? You bet it did.
Zack Fair in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII :(
Still annoys me you can't beat Nadine's snarky mug in
Legacy of Kain Blood Omen prologue
while SMT in general loves these since it is a JRPG, lets just name the most recent with the Holy Grail from P5
We all know that the real unbeatable boss of the Souls games is Barbara Pis
Was the 'Nice arms' a jab at Jack by any chance?
Heishin in yu gi oh forgotten memories

There is one in Persona 5, but it's a major end-game spoiler
Id have Halo Reach 100%... especially with it being back in the mainstream a bit
Bring back ....HUNK!!
Shenmue 3 has a few automatic losses.
Spent 20 mins beating Genichiro on my second playthrough to see what happened (he molested me first time) and well...yeah he still chops your arm off.
the opening fight in FF2 (not FF IV)
Wwe sd vs raw 09 cena vs orton with Jericho as manager in story mode?
Zero dislikes
No Vile from Mega Man X? Ok. Sure.
Was that a JKII clip? Yay!
Edit: but no mention. Booo

Half life 2 episode 2 ending?
You all need spoiler warnings at the beginning of each video like this, especially if you're covering such recent games, like Sekiro.
sekiro has been out for almost a year

Anyone else get a little turned on by getting their ass kicked by Nadine?
