Great interview! I love hearing these stories. I'm doing something similar at 32. I've always loved art and animation but didn't seem like a viable career path coming out of HS around 2008 (market crash era). So I've put my desire on hold...till a couple months ago!
I'm 31 starting out fresh and have beat myself up for not starting sooner in life, looking at all the twitch streamers that are my age and been doing this for half or more of a decade. Knowing the way my mind works and where I was 10 years ago I would not be doing this right now as student were I to not take the path I took prior. Considering the way that the younger students don't take this as serious and keep their scopes very narrow I'm fortunate to be starting this art journey at my age. I miss having the money I used to have for sure but I have the work ethic to get back to that point again. Great video, very helpful for my reflective process lol.
