    That headlight mechanism is ridiculously complicated, I'm surprised Honda would do something like that. The service you performed probably cost more than the scooter is worth. Great video. 👍 I'm still looking forward to the update on the Tata.

    Nice fix. For future, nail varnish makes a great insulator for circuit board repairs, and if you need to it can be easily renoved with acetone. 💅

      @@Scooter_911 Great! can't wait. Great fix btw, and it seems like that you found the issue that causes most of those headlights to break. Might be very helpful for someone in the future.
      And if you plan to do more circuit board fixes, take a broken electric motor apart. They have enameled wires, very handy for bridging circuit boards.

      @@Scooter_911 if you wanted to be REALLY spicy, I bet you could take a hobby-grade neodymium DC motor and put it in a 3d printed bracket to make it fit in the spot of the original converter, then get a boost converter to get the voltage up to 4S lipo territory and reeeeeally get that flip up-down action snappy! :p

    Most mechanics aren't that clever with electronics. They also won't spend the time to troubleshoot a board. I do. cause I hate spending money. And I have the time. I love solving electro mechanical issues. I don't believe in throwing parts at issues. N.D.T or Non destructive Testing is the route I like to take. That's why I watch this stuff. LOL! I've beeb educated about things like this, and compare you to the training I got. So I feel qualified to say, Again great job!

    This is an awesome video! Thank you. As far as my light, I'm not getting power to the green wire with white stripe when the ignition is in the off position. I did replace the ignition switch with a aftermarket Amazon one I found which the wiring is a little different. Could that be my problem? Any ideas on how to get power to it with ignition off?
    Sorry I'm late to the party

    • @Scooter_911
      @Scooter_911  Год назад

      Yes we are finding that a lot of the aftermarket ignition switches for a lot of bikes do not connect the proper circuits in the proper positions. Sometimes it is possible to remedy this by re-pinning the connector or soldering the wires to alternate terminals at the back of the switch. Other times there are no options and your best bet is a used switch in decent shape.
