    I needed the help of a breaker bar to take the 17mm bolts off the mounting bracket. Didn't take much effort with the breaker bar, but I couldn't budge it with a regular wrench. Also, when removing the 14mm caliper bolts, I had a problem with my 17mm crescent wrench being too wide, so I had to go buy a thinner one. I've never had an issue with a crescent wrench being too wide, but I did here. Great video, by the way! Helped me a ton!

    Other people have asked about the bleeder being open to press the piston in. What kind of damage can be done to the anti lock brakes if you do not open the bleeder valve? I have never done this when changing brakes and have not had any problems. Is this specific to Toyotas?

    Bleeding it like that doesn't that let air into the lines?

    • @alexandergreene1728
      @alexandergreene1728 4 года назад

      It is gravity bleeding; The aster cylinder is at a higher point than the piston, so the brake fluid will flow downward. You can actually DIY bleed the entire system this way, as most every car the master cylinder/reservoir are at a higher point than the pistons at the calipers. The system isn't under a vacuum either, so there is no way for it to "suck" air into the system.

    • @davidpence9653

    Why would they put the red pads on? If I remember correctly the green pads are for the street and the red ones are more for racing which means they take longer to work properly. You need heat behind them for optimal braking. I heard many horror stories from my racing days of people putting red ones on street cars and not having crap for braking. No wonder this person had new pads put in. I would have just slapped new OEM pads onto those rotors and rolled with that. Unless the rotors are warped or too worn there is no need to do pads and rotors if the pads are worn.

    Never get brake products from A1 Auto I ordered brake pads and rotors from A1 Auto for my 2015 Toyota Camry my vehicle started to ride like absolute garbage the brakes were grabbing and have never stopped until I bought a new pair from AutoZone yes I said it I
    I've been shaking changing brakes for decades now and these are the worst breaks I have ever dealt with

      Yes because thats what lets you know your brake pads are getting worn down. But you don't have to

    • @hearse2us
      @hearse2us 4 года назад

      No, but if you don't install it, you'll have no warning before the pad material completely wears down and then you'll have metal against metal. that's dangerous and could cause a lot of damage to all the components if that happens. But all it does is make it squeal so you know its getting close.

      I've owned a Camry with the 268 HP and 6 speed transmission for 2 years. This thing is faster than my 1969 Mach 1 Mustang with the V8 rated at 300+ HP! Just sayin...

      I'm confused as to why this is funny to you. Drilled and slotted Rotors improve braking performance period, on any car.... The whole point is to lower the amount of space it takes to slow down to zero.
