Me personally I hate that a few of the good characters like Barou, Rin, Kaiser etc get momentarily beat by isagi then just make it their whole goal to just beat isagi. It could just be bad writing because I understand having the main character have rivals, but for them it gets to the point where they can in one moment beat isagi but after a single goal they stagnate. This is another reason I love shidou and think he has the best ego out of any in the series. Shidou only cares about goals and doesn't really care and even gives props when other people score. But the others latch on to isagis nuts too hard and get stunted...
I think is bc Isagi ability (adapt to others), like Rin said “he can learn faster than me”, and like Aiku said on U-20 “Isagi have the ability to bring out the best of the players”, they evolve faster against Isagi
I personally think that It kinda makes sense for them to fixiate over Isagi, after all it's not just being defeated, but how Isagi destroys their confidence and ego during the whole match

I think raichi can become a great captain someday. Even better than rin and isagi . Because captaincy is not only being the best player but also encouraging other players to give their best in field.
No. "It's not just you... who can invent new things on the fly". Rin will pull something new to outplay Isagi. So far he only used techniques and visual prowess to outplay Isagi.
Funny how isagi and kaiser legit had to make new weapons, rin at the start of the match didnt need flow state he was beating everyone but hiori came in clutch and rn kaiser and isagi are on fire so rin going into flow state isnt surprising

Isagi will analyze the situation and see Ness struggling on the side, to which he will pass, ness will realize that Kaiser is no longer his king and passes back to isagi who will score his second goal, this will mean Kaiser, Isagi, and Rin will be tied for goals scored.
