Hey folks in the one that got shot in the back, it's no big deal, I'm not salty and there's no hard feelings. That being said I would have appreciated not taking so many rounds but I digress. Anyways it's fine because I ain't no coward lol
I also dealt with the loophole at this event, and I think one should be able to just take the players current IV away- just like you can with unopened bottles
TJV Airsoft ya but it's a water bottle and as the guy says in the video he s dehydrated so I would imagine the "knife" as a death that's non recoverable that's what I mean
You can shoot a player from a long distance, even when surrounded by his team. A knife is up close and personal meaning the wounded player is isolated so i'd say that's a good rule of thumb just knife his ass.
Would having to have a live player (or even more specifically a medic I guess) present to 'administer' the water bottle get around that? So that if you get overrun while respawning and all of the live players die it effectively stops the respawn?
Aw nice! I hope to try milsim some day, looks really fun. Prob not gonna do MSW for the first one, as said in ur guide. Can’t wait to see the SS Airsoft gameplay!
I do agree with your opinion. Because if you are drinking it then get shot, and after you are done with the drink, you are alive again? That would not make sense at all
I think it should be possible for the opposing team to cancel the medic bottle. For instance, if the enemy team touches the player drinking the bottle, the player is considered dead and must walk back to respawn.
We use a system that fixes the medic loop hole problem @ realcap games in Qc Canada for the last 10 years now. A variation of the system that would include the water bottles system would look like this : Medic would have to touch the player all the while he is drinking the water bottle. The player becomes alive only when he is done drinking the water with the medic still having 2 hands on him. If the medic gets shot or takes his 2 hands off for some reason, the player stays dead, even if he has drinked 3/4 of water and the procedure must be restarted from zero with a new bottle.
So wait a second, you're telling me that finishing the water for the memes warrants 7 shots in the back from point black range? Have you ever actually attended an msw event? If not I don't expect you to understand
Nemesis Raising what wasn’t he listening to? Jet told him to “stop drinking it” Caleb told him he was dehydrated he went along with getting shot because it was funny. Jet probably got a good few extra views because of this happening
Simple, amended the rule to say that an enemy player can take away the water bottle mid drink, thus stopping the revive. There can be a courtesy rule that states, if that player then simply wants to finish the water bottle to hydrate then it’s fine but it will not count as a revive. BAM! Both players win, player one stops a revive and the second gets to drink his water! On the situation, the nato guy drinking should said “fine, I’ll stay dead but can I hydrate and finish the bottle?” It’s unofficial but it’s professional and I’m sure Jet would of been okay with that given the dead guy follows through. Worst case he doesn’t, the broken agreement was captured on video and it is shown to refs/event managers, which could potentially risk the nato guy from being banned from future events.... On Jet shooting him multiple times, the dude was a jerk. He knew he was surrounded, teammates all dead, and the Russian forces had a valid concern. The nato guy should of just stop drinking/give up/done the above. Jet had every right to shoot as much as he did due to his attitude and Jet even shot him in the plate carrier! You can’t even feel hits on that. The dick move would of been 7 shots in the face at that range, but Jet didn’t!!!! I don’t see Jet in the wrong AT ALL....
6:20 the waterbottle is meant to simulate medical attention, so the medic should have to stay with the person as they're drinking (don't fully know the current rule on this) if the medic dies then the waterbottle becomes obsilite and it can be drunk for hydration or thrown away but it wont res the player.
Two ways I can think of to close off the water bottle loophole: 1) Allow enemy players to "finish off" bleeding & drinking players with a knife attack. 2) You can't revive without a live medic present. Thus if your medic dies before you finish the water bottle then you can't revive.
How to deal with it: If he is hit getting an "IV" make it so you can take that "IV" away from him, like you can take certain stuff when searching him. Or just make it so they can't get revive when an enemy is looking at him (or in this case is surrounded by enemies).
what if you were to just slap the bottle away? or simply take it away ? only time i see that being a problem, is if buddy reallly needed to have a drink of water,. IE: on the verge of passing out, heat stroke, etc etc etc... whats your thoughts on this Fox?
Maybe a melee attack on a soldier drinking a water? It will prohibit people from shooting a person drinking but will cause both parties to rush people attacking and person drinking the water. That way the person drinking the water will likely want to hurry so he is not in range to get melee (knifed) and has the opportunity to defend him/herself, and the attacks would have to put themselves in danger in order to check and finish the enemy off before he is done.
Hey jet since you have your own events i want to know how do you guys get your hands on empty radio channels to use and also get away with out the whole proper communication of having to use call signs and bla bla and if you or any one else answers this message, one more question how can some one go about using a channel or frequency for just pick up games where they are communication with their squad or friends? granted indoors i guess it be easier because you might only be limited to the building
Hey jet, I'm kinda new to airsoft. How would I get my gun upgraded by umbrella armory? what would the price range be? (help from anyone would be much appreciated)
I offered him the choice to just stop but he kept going. He would have shot us all in the back the moment he was back in play. Plus, this is a higher level of airsoft. We have NO minimum engagement distance. If you are NOT comfortable with that then DO NOT PLAY. This is a game completely revolving around shooting each other.
I mean it's a game based on honour too. Just come to an honourable agreement and say "hey drink your water/hydrate and then die honourably" A game revolved around shooting each other but a game nonetheless.
1987RaPsCaLLioN im friends with the guy who got shot and he isn’t the kind to get angry about being shot but I think he would’ve appreciated to not get shot 7 times in the back
Milsim should adhere to GC (Geneva Convention); therefore a player whom is overtaken by an OpFor should be allowed to live, yet will have all his weapons/armourment removed (or the ability to use as such); i.e they can be revived but can no longer shoot back whilst surrounded by OpFor. I'd add a twist to this to where the wounded (once revived) then plays FOR the OpFor (even if in the wrong attire). This rewards capturing members from the other team to work for you.
My Personal opinion: If the Medic who helps you dies... Nobody tends your wounds.. So you most likly bleed out. Same should be the soloution in this case... Medic who helps you goes hit, so goes your revive. This way the Medic gets an even more important role. And you have to protect him even more.
What are the rules with ear protection with the blank fire? That stuff can be pretty loud. Especially if close. Also loophole solution? Pretty much what you did. Firing squad. XD
In my experience blanks are no where close to as loud as live rounds. The only time I could see sound being an issue is in an enclosed space but they normally don't use them in places like that.
a medic SHOULD have to be with the person while they're drinking it, if the medic is hit too they should NOT be allowed to carry on, if they're hit a second time while drinking i dont see why that should negate the bottle like most comments are saying, its only an issue of the medic needing to be present and alive for it to work
Ellie Blaber but in real life every U.S. soldier has medical training and a military first aid kit. true there is one person in a squad that is a medic and has better medical training and supplies.
Could treat it like pubg and fortnite. If all ally players in the vicinity are in a downed state, they all did. This will encourage players to drink up to help ensure allies don't did. Issue being players trying to stay stealthed could cause problems for "ally players in the vicinity". Alternatively, could have a system where; if you are drinking and an enemy places his hand on you for 5 seconds (enough time to get shot in a scenario where that player could be visited by a medic), you are now dead. Remember that the enemies would have to push up to your position before you finish your water and hold one hand on you for 5 seconds to be classed as dead.
as for the loop hole, the person could choose to go ahead and walk out, knowing that once he is back up he will just be out anyways, HOWEVER he must bring the medic another water bottle.
I feel like the medic water rule only works when the guy drinking the water is accompanied by a *living* medic. They're supposed to simulate the time and supplies it takes for a medic to get one of their guys back in the fight, so if the guy is just sitting there drinking the water, with no living friendlies nearby, it's like saying that a hit man in real life just sat up and started performing his own frontline trauma care. Under MSW's own mindset, if it's not realistic, don't include it. A man with a 7.62-sized hole in his chest wouldn't sit up and start patching himself up.
I know I am late to the party, but what about you need to have an alive player within (insert chosen distance here) of you. it doesn't break immersion, and it saves the player from being waited on and shot by 20 people.
I feel like in this situation, if i wasn't found by opposing players then drank all of the water bottle one could continue the fight. But if i was in the midst of drinking and was surrounded by enemy players i would just call myself dead and go back to the nearest re-spawn point.
The Tacsop states that in the absence of clear rules, to go along with the spirit of the event. He wasn’t being super douchey or anything but he definitely could’ve handled it better
Lol That made my day. And to the bottle well even in pc games you can be killed when your team mate are trying to revive you/give you aid. So it is not some new weird thing to be able finish enemy when s/he have given aid at time. You just shoot medic and finish injured.
I'd think that being shot while drinking would negate the bottle. Doesn't make sense to be able to revive in a less-than-safe position unless you have friendlies to cover you the entire time. Another thing, I'm not really up to date with how rules tend to work these days, but I want to recall the first time I saw the water bottle system, I was under the impression that the medic that administered the bottle had to be present while it was being consumed. The time taken for the player to drink would simulate the time it takes for the medic to patch up the wound. I don't know if the flow of this particular event allows for that, it obviously depends on the game as a whole, but that also closes the loophole. A medic is free to revive a group of friendlies all at once, if he has the supplies, but if he's taken out before any of them have finished reviving it would count all of them as dead and all the supplies wasted. Not sure if the respawn rules at Milsim West accomodate for that or if it would disrupt the flow of the game too much, but it's an option.
It’s not officially in the MSW TACSOP, but a medic or squad first responder is suppose to be next to next to the wounded friendly to simulate them being cared for.
I share the same opinion. If you're drinking/healing you are kill-able. That said I might only shoot a round or two or even melee kill them instead. =p

I'm a simple person, so here's a simple solution. To be revived, you should need help/cover, similar to a buddy aid. To drink a water bottle, you need at least one living person next to you. They don't need to bandage you or anything, they just need to be there to supply cover or such.. I wouldn't think you'd be left to tend to yourself in war, why should it be any different in a milsim?
Hey folks in the one that got shot in the back, it's no big deal, I'm not salty and there's no hard feelings. That being said I would have appreciated not taking so many rounds but I digress. Anyways it's fine because I ain't no coward lol

trashdoktor So true!
if you check it, he shot the plate carrier. he probably didnt feel a thing
Great character sir
Guy Porter he’s not even wearing a plate carrier
That guy in the beginning had a totally accurate death

Mr. Hiroki I tried to crawl away from a grenade I failed to throw

NOICE Video Dude! wish i could have made it to this event .. LOOKS like a blast !
I also dealt with the loophole at this event, and I think one should be able to just take the players current IV away- just like you can with unopened bottles
TJV Airsoft i feel if you can WALK up to them like in this situation they should just be "knifed" and killed

TJV Airsoft ya but it's a water bottle and as the guy says in the video he s dehydrated so I would imagine the "knife" as a death that's non recoverable that's what I mean

4:07 killing jet. priceless lol i actually bolted from the other boat moments before when he hailed it it frags
I can't believe they are playing by people's cars.

HOLY COW! wish they had milsims like that in the Netherlands. (ow hell yeah for my comment above house games) love you guys! thanks for inspiring me!
This is awesome my friend! left a like and full view
I'm just going to say that Jet was in the right on this one. The guy wasn't listening and got what he deserved imo.

i like water bottle revive. keeps them hydrated and i guess from ur explanation realistic
7:03. Aaaahhhhhhhhh, RRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I havnt been to any milsim events yet but when i do ill be this guy at 4:56
in the larp system we use, we have an exucute rule wich kills the player even if bleed out time isant up yet.
4:15 That's going straight to RUclips. he was right.

What kind of meme is this 5:57, the hit thing???
Hey jet, how do u like the svu? I’m thinking about buying one.
Personality I would have stopped drinking the water or at least said at this point I'm drinking it to drink it lol
Hey Jet or anyone who knows the answer to my question, where do you buy those Frag Pea grenades from? Much thanks.
They are Enola Gaye EG67 clay grenades. You can buy them Evike.com
Next nice game play !! ☝️☺️
Tbh I should have carried Caleb away in my arms for making him go through with that bbdeath
You were already dead though. Caleb also had a choice and he chose certain bbdeath

What eye pro are you wearing in this video?
Jet can you do a loadout video from this milsim
Awesome vids bro
Are you gonna pick up the new gbb SVU?
Jet will you be at Fertile Crescent 4?
What camo is that you’re wearing?
Think there should be a parley system in place for loopholes like that
Or, no invincibility while reviving. Get shot while drinking, hard respawn
Anyone know what camo jet is running?
Are smokes a one use thing?
That's awesome!!! Keep it up
Love your videos!
''milsin event near you'' on the end, but i live in EU XD
For me the Water bottle loophole is simple , add the IF THE ENEMY TOUCHES YOUR BOTTLE its poisioned , therefore no revival.

Fortnite < PUBG
simple or not, a player getting medical aid should cease treatment if over run
as for the loop hole, the person could choose to go ahead and walk out, knowing that once he is back up he will just be out anyways, HOWEVER he must bring the medic another water bottle.
Why did all this go down right next to a bunch of parked cars? that seems like a bad idea
In our games, one shot in weapon, disable the weapon until the repair technician concert.
To simulate administering the iv the medic should have to hold the bottle while you drink it. On second thought that's a little too weird.

Hey yeah brother!
I'm glad your that airsofter that doesn't just use a sniper for his load out you actually get in the fight
Gotcha, thanks. Should probably be made official!
In a situation like that you should be able to take the water bottle away and that should cancel the revive
How do you and Leah clean your Russian uniforms?
I share the same opinion. If you're drinking/healing you are kill-able. That said I might only shoot a round or two or even melee kill them instead. =p
Yeah, shooting him multiple times was childish.
X0A milsim west doesn’t allow knife kills only shooting kills people sadly
I sorta meant in airsoft in general, but I hear ya. Still, I wouldn't want to shoot so heavily into someone who is as vulnerable as they are.
That gun is like glaz weapon from Raimbo six
Take Rainbow six as an example. You are downed by an enemy. Your teammate comes to revive but dies. You don't instantly get up (unless you are playing certain operators) but the point is, if you are mid revive and you are shot again, then you are done.
Instead of Hit, they call Jet.
That fighting is awful close to the parking lot
Oh there is still some NATO over here!
*happy jet noises intensify*
I went to an event at camp rilea where you could double tap enemy players who were wounded
He wasted his time but you gotta stay hydrated Jet
Dude, I love it as always!
Should I get mp5?
you know, in all honesty, how many of these guys that are on the recieving end of the water bottle loophool are just legit thirsty and thus want some water.
Like getting shot right after being defibbed in battlefield, you get shot whilst drinking you should be heading back to respawn.
Those guys were so angry lol
I'm a simple person, so here's a simple solution. To be revived, you should need help/cover, similar to a buddy aid. To drink a water bottle, you need at least one living person next to you. I think the 4 tap was a good way to cope with it
Jet does your son play airsoft?
We have a rule regarding that wounded player: you can go and tap him on a shoulder and he's out.
I would have been the a hole that takes one tiny sip every minute or so, telling people about the flavor of the water.
I think the tournequet was the best idea.
just straight up Glaz from Rainbow Six
Do the NATO always loose?
No one really wins or loses at MSW games. At Desert Fox Events though we have defined winners and losers.
I would have kept drinking the water, but also called myself out.
I think if you stamp on the enemies head while they are drinking water they won't be able to finish it and you'll be able to carry on.
Nice role
