To my knowledge, some of Piranha plant's moves are based off their paper incarnations like the putrid miasma cloud
She listed ones from ALL of the RPGs, I recognized some variants from Mario and Luigi in there.
I can't believe she researched the Piranha Planet from partners in time. That's one of my favorite enemies from that game.
My biggest surprise was that she mentioned Pe-Tea Piranha from PM Color Splash. I really thought that guy was forgotten!

Warning! Do not do all-star mode, it deletes your save data!! Piranha causes a bug that can delete your save in all-star mode. Might only happen for digital users only, but would not chance it either way!
Update: Most people are safe, because they don't even realize Smash Ultimate has an all-star mode!

Piranha Plant is so cute and amazing. He's always smiling and he's so happy to be here. Look at how he flails in his run, how he clenches his teeth with down air as if he knows it's disrespectful, how he smiles with his twirling taunt, how much he smiles in his victory animations. So precious. Every single one of his moves is so creative and fresh. This character is just exactly what this game needed.

I hope this means that all the DLC fighters will be getting Palutena's Guidence conversations this time around. Which gets me really hyped for when Joker comes to Smash.

Ok so a few notes from my own testing:
Apparently you will autobite if youre crouching and an opponent steps on you??
In case it wasnt clear in the video, the side b acts like a charge shot, and can be shot before full charge.(longer held via tips will increase size and duration. Also cant be destroyed but can be countered or absorbed. Centre deals most damage and duration becomes shorter as the number of fighters increase.) If you try pressing side b or neutral b while the projectile is still there then theyll do a lil animation (side b is a small puff, neutral is a huff/flop)
the neutral b where they blow the ball will (via tips) travel further the CLOSER the ball is to them, while the down b will move further the longer you hold it, (can tilt further in the air than the ground, super armour while charging ends as soon as you stop charging. If you press special before it ends you can bite prematurely) and will come back faster if it hits another fighter or a solid wall. The final smash has a sort of control to it, where petey piranha will jump to the direction you face or whichever way you input (including upwards!). The final smash will end early if petey falls off the edge and if there is a fighter in the cage, they wont take any damage from external attacks (I think?) If petey falls offscreen with that fighter, the fighter can still escape with jumping and up specials. Once the down b has input left or right, they cannot change it and the pot will fall, which wont impact the total time youre allowed to hold it for. You can also release it at any time in the fall. You cant fall through a platform while in the pot, but you can start falling through the platform and continue in the pot. Maximum charge reaches out six or seven units if you include the pot. As it looks, down air has meteor at the beginning. Edge guard game is insane, happy smashing!

Dude side B and then run up and grab is gonna be so busted that's like an instant 70 damage or more if you can hold them still in the fog, pummel, and then throw. And I don't know his throws so maybe you could even combo more after too.
i could be mistaken, but as far as i know i think grabbing the opponent cancels out the damage of his side b completely
could be wrong but I seem to recall this happening sometime when I played them recently
