- At the turn of the 20th century, oil brought a fortune to the Osage Nation, who became some of the richest people in the world overnight. The wealth of these Native Americans immediately attracted white interlopers, who manipulated, extorted, and stole as much Osage money as they could before resorting to murder. Based on a true story and told through the improbable romance of Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone), “Killers of the Flower Moon” is an epic western crime saga, where real love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal. Also starring Robert De Niro and Jesse Plemons, “Killers of the Flower Moon” is directed by Academy Award winner Martin Scorsese from a screenplay by Eric Roth and Martin Scorsese, based on David Grann’s best-selling book.

I love how she talks about how it’s not directly her people’s story, reminding everyone that there are multiple tribes/groups of native Americans that all have different histories and different traditions.
yes, it was more than 500 tribes/nation.
Lily Gladstone .
That’s because she is not enrolled in a Tribe. No tribe claims her as Native as she does not qualify to belong in the Blackfeet tribe..
Dicaprio is child trying to act like an adult.
❤❤❤
Lily was absolutely phenomenal. She is getting that oscar.
🧢
I hope you're right..
Her character was so stupid though
@@Jimmyjim4No, but love is blind
@@Jimmyjim4 After she left the hospital, you can tell she changed. She still loves him, but it will never be the same. Women will do anything to keep their family, their kids, together.
She is absolutely hypnotic in her portrayal of Mollie
I really appreciate how Leonardo DiCaprio is giving lily Gladstone his undivided attention while she speaks. It was a fantastic movie that was so horrendously sad but so vitally important to watch.
😢❤😢❤
It means he respects her as a person.
I hope Leo's fame won't overshadow Lily's amazing performance. She is a very gifted actor.
They all should be honored. This film should win every award! Lily of course is the one who cannot be denied the greatest accolades. To make great art you must have great love....This Ms. Gladstone has!
She wouldnt have been picked if they didnt all feel she had the chops to play Mollie.
Of Course.....but I am sure no one could have known how great it would turn out. @@aaagaming2023
She was channelling much more than "chops" .....she had a deep spiritual connection to the role. What she did was miraculous!@@aaagaming2023
She was her own star in this movie ! Her acting wasn’t overshadowed by Leo at all !
Lily gonna win Oscar for sure. What a phenomenal performance.
Ernest Burkhart was a brilliantly written character and masterfully portrayed on screen by Leo.
There was a scene in the movie where all the white people banded together to protect their own evil, and when the camera panned to them and all of them looked at the camera, i felt a cold sensation going down my spine. That scene was really powerful. The movie is amazing. You all should go see it. Cheers.
Yes, the scene at the house after the initial courtroom when Ernest Burkhart changed his mind about testifying was absolutely chilling!
They need to learn because they know nothing
That scene where Mollie is walking and all eyes were on her was so uncomfortable and telling of the strength of someone who has to endure that everyday.
White Man Bad - Hollywood
truth hurts@@markcavandish1295
I truly loved the paradoxical nature of Burkhart. An undeniable horrible individual, and yet, there's no doubt there was genuine love. I love the fact that Scorsese didn't settle for easy moral distinctions and attempted to make their morality as complex as possible.
Lily Gladstone is a force.
She was also in one of the last few episodes of Reservation Dogs too. Great actress... most likely getting an Oscar.
*Reservoir Dogs?
@@odey3054 No, it's on Hulu and FX but last season, I think it was 4, just finished on FX so only on Hulu. Taika Waititi made it... it's a great show.
@@odey3054There is a show on FX called Reservation Dogs following Native American characters living on a reservation in Oklahoma. The name is an homage to Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs.
@@odey3054nah, look up reservation dogs
This was a powerful movie. And the way Leo and Lily researched and worked so hard for 8 years on this movie really shows how deeply they cared about the story. They also look at each other with such respect which conveys their success ❤
Lily Gladstone is brilliant and beautiful.....She should win every award! God Bless her...One of the best films ever made. A: spectacular creation. Lily you are an access point for all Native American women to be loved.
Lily was alot better than I expected, matched Leo and De Niro each step
Lily Gladstone, wow you are such a beautiful, eloquent, kind and graceful human. It was a privilege watching your portrayal of Mollie Burkhart on the big screen. What a heartbreaking story of the history of the Osage People.
Lily, in my opinion, outshined Leo, which is crazy to think about but she was fucking amazing. I'm glad this story was told.
She deserves an Oscar
Thank goodness it was written about what happened to the Osage people and other Native Americans. If this hadn't been written we would have never know what happened to these people.
What they went through my gosh...I seat here shaking my head can't imagine 😢 my heart goes out to all Native American.
Oh my goodness
AND WE ARE STILL HERE!!!!!!!! Cant wait to see you at the next pow wow my brother! Just come... we will feed you and your family!

💖💖thank you
There are many stories out there... each tribal people has one.
I’m excited to watch and be educated about this
The way they respect each other😢❤
Leo captured my heart with the way he treats her. 😢
Seriously, I never crushed on him before this movie. He really is the best.
Sorry, but not sorry.
I just wanna say that at no point did I see any "Acting" in the movie. It was so realistic that the movie just drew me in. Lily Gladstone's delivery of Mollie (to note that she didn't have many lines) is hard to describe because her silence felt genuine to the role which I imagine is arguably one of the hardest thing to achieve in films - to be able to communicate yet keep it real and silent. I really enjoyed that movie despite the horrendous true story behind it. The cast certainly did this story justice and most important of all is that Scorsese and the cast treated the story with respect. I can't imagine of a better way to tell a story of this nature.
This is fantastic for Lily. She made a terrific character piece with Kristen Stewart, a few years ago, Certain Women. A very moving performance.
It was terrible, are you on George Floyd’s supply?
@@VictorLugosi Trolling is always a bad move. Keep it up. 🤣
@@VictorLugosiwtf
That the movie that Martin Scorsese saw her in and knew he wanted her to play Lily.
Gee, I could listen to Lily Gladstone speak ALL day. She would definitely Rock doing asmr stuff!🥰
She is quite mesmerizing. Like the Mona Lisa. Just me?
No, not just you. She has an ethereal & mysteriousness about her.
Excellent movie. Excellent actors and director. Glad i had the privilege of seeing it on the big screen!
Leo looks great, don't know why people are saying he hasn't aged well
Haters come in all flavors
I guess we are not used to seeing movie stars without going through the hands of plastic surgeons. Leo has not been there, so he has matured naturally. That's what makes him look "older" to the eyes of those used to seeing filters, fillers and retouching.
Because we all have bad days and Leo doesn’t care what others think, so he shows himself the way he is and it gets on their nerves.
@@kjarolim because he has 19 year old daughter I mean gf
@@raja-jl9os maybe that too! You’re right!
An amazing film and heartbreaking story. Saw it tonite. Deepest thanks and gratitude to Marty, Leo, Lily, Robert and the entire cast and production team for bringing this masterpiece to the public. A huge gift to the world
May never see this film, however, their words describing their work and experience are so moving and profound and . . . it reveals their consummate professionalism and depth as actors. Clearly, they are story tellers, serious story tellers who have the courage and wherewithal to tell stories that risk being lost and never told. Bravo!
The chief's speech in the middle of this movie: I knew I was listening to greatness. He was extremely powerful.
Seen it last night absolutely blown away, incredible performances and the story was just strong start to finish
I could feel the pain and suffering just listening to her, the same untold suffering and atrocities were done to our native aboriginals , and just 6 weeks ago, Australians voted no to having direct aboriginal voice in our government, it felt so harrowing and frustrating to see people voting out of fear and ignorance… anyway looking forward to watching this movie
I’m half Cherokee & live in England, I am so excited to get the opportunity to watch this this Friday in a little cinema in a little town in England, can’t wait ❤
...Keen to know your thoughts ......
@@adamaa9144 Adam it was truly gut wrenching and amazing (strange putting these together I know) A longgg movie but necessary so fit so much history into the picture. Highly recommend 🌸
WELL SAID MS. GLADSTONE!!! Well done Mr. DiCaprio…. Just saw the movie an hour ago. Held back tears…. This is a common history with ALL tribes in Oklahoma!
This was really a hard hitting movie. The theme song and the trailer give the perception of a light movie, but it is not. It’s ultra dark but with a smile. I was overcome with melancholy and actually got sick later in the evening. I appreciate the efforts of the producers of this movie to share as much truth as possible about what happened to the Osage. It is a distressing reality check for early 20th century life in the USA.
PLEASE MAY SHE BE NOMINATED FOR AN ACADEMY AWARD AND GREAT THINGS HAPPEN TO THIS DEAR LADY!
I love Lily Gladstone. I want to see her in more things.
This film was so powerful! I am still processing all of it, but it was masterfully done.
I love listening to this woman speak. Talk, girl, talk. Say what you have to say. Recommend those books and tell us about your life and your spirit. This is such a wonderful opportunity for her and she is so amazing for not receding into the background but standing up and speaking about her truth.
What a film, cant remember the last time I walked out of the movie theatre speechless.
I just got home from seeing this movie & it was amazing, everyone involved did a wonderful job. Leo was extrodinary.
Serious question, how many movies have you watched? This year and in general because other then DiCaprio this almost unbearable, I probably won't watch another Scorsese movie, now I have to wait for Nepolian on Nov 22nd for an actually good movie
@LeonardoDiCaprio-iu5qjI just watched this terribly sad movie tonight in the theater, and must say what a fantastic job Leonardo and Lily did with their roles. Lily made me feel as she was feeling. But I can’t get over the pure anger I had with that entire bunch of murdering thieves!! It’s such a tragedy what the Osage went though. I am so sorry for them all.
These two gave great performance.
I love Lily so much. I am white guy from Poland, and already a Scorsese fan but I also can't wait for this film- which I am seeing tonight - because I loved Lily in Reservation Dogs. She is an incredible actress and deserves to be a huge star. Btw, the book she mentions is A Pipe for February by Charles Red Corn!
i can hear leo talk all day (: cant wait to see this movie and Lily is amazing too
The story was deep and what it has always been like from the beginning greed and power will kill the souls. Thank you for bringing it to the theatre we saw tonight and loved it!!
She’s so eloquent
When I hear people, especially political " leaders " say "why do they have to dredge up the past, can't we just let it lie ?" I want to grab them by the collar and scream "so we don't forget and so it will never happen again."
lol this read like a terrible cliche Disney channel scene. I was with you in the 1st half though.
False equivalency.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard any political leaders say that. Usually they criticize people looking back with a morally superior lense without taking into account the way of life from back then.
How far back in history should we go? Every race has been raped, tortured, and horribly murdered. The evil ain’t the race of a human,it’s the scumbags in charge of money.
You are absolutely right......People will say never forget this and that.....but, when it comes to those of color, it is always.....let it lie.....NOPE, NEVER FORGET.....NEVER......There are all kinds of evil things that happen in this world.....for me.....NONE OF THEM ARE FORGETABLE......PERIOD.....
To say I'd never heard of her before I went into the cinema I watched her effortlessly glide through this role holding her own next to Leo and De Nero, she stays with you for days after
She's beautiful. I can see why Leo didn't turn his eyes away from her while she was talking.
Hey lily and leo, its me, jennifer Brumley from grayhorse. Im so happy yall are doing these interviews. ❤ you always have a home here in osage county.
Hey I have not yet seen the film. Could you give me some of your history. Love to know more around - Grayhouse ..
I just watched this movie on an IMAX screen. It's a l-o-n-g movie and I'm glad the studio didn't edit it down to a shorter length. This reminded me of an artsy drama movie. I'm going to predict that this movie is going to dominate at the next Oscar; and dominate BIG.
Lily Gladstone is beautiful
❤
The way she looks at him! She is very beautiful. Love Leo
Leo is a great actor indeed. When he talks, he is so humble in front of the camera 🎥
She played so well in the movie!
She’s excellent because she’s genuine and real…something that is rare these days
I hope you and this movie win a lot of Oscars. I know that's not the most important thing to you on the journey of making this historic creation, but it is well deserved.
I am reading the book now… to make sure I have the background with all the people & their perspectives!
Then I will go see the film in a week or so once I have digested the book. A long awaited tale that needs to be told….thank you for making it into a medium that will get to more people. It needs to be in the light…
There's something so graceful about her..
My ex husband family came from Oklahoma, the great, great grandfather was British ancestors and married a Native American name Five Ash , I don’t know if they were Osage. I know they were very poor when they came to Bakersfield and she told me they were sleeping under a tree many times. I can’t wait to see the movie. Maybe I will understand more of their pass.
Cant wait to see the movie
Love her voice and accent. So much tone and richness
Leonardo fantastic actor.
Leonardo is only a few survived actors while not corrupted nor abused in Hollywood, how amazing
bro he literally only dates half his age thats corrupted enough
He has a very good team that looks after his rep. Majority of celebs are 'corrupt', they just know how to hide it.
excuse but these women are adults, no?@@20David13
Tbh I knew the story from my school years but never thought it would remotely become a movie and wow it was everything I thought it'd be…multiple Oscar winning surely for blessing many with this knowledge
Lily Gladstone made this movie! 🎥😎
scorcese and this type of story, is a match made in heaven
I just watched Flowers of the Killer Moon in the theater, it was really good and based on a true story.

I've watched it and lily Gladstone was magnifying a topnotch actress same rate with streep
She’s effortlessly beautiful
Looking forward to this one.
Lovely jewelry.. looking forward to seeing the movie, well done to Lilly and Leo.
The Native Americans went through something like what the Jews went through with the Nazis. In the past, we were lied to (and miseducated) in our public schools.
Yes so true, exactly with what’s happening with Gaza in Palestine western media continue to lie as it has lied many times before about Iraq Syria Kuwait etc
I'm so grateful I never attended a public school. I never realized how differently we were being taught.....
@LeonardoDiCaprio-iu5qj lmfao
Lily Gladstone is so beautiful.
she is so kind person and good actress
This is what an interview with a serious actor should sound like. The focus is not stardom.
Saw It today in london. 23 what a story, love you Marty
we watched it just last night. beeen soo disturbed since last night. I cannot imagine that was actually the real history and that actually happened. so heartbreaking and true sadness of great people
This movie looks like it's going to be good
I'm glad our people never had to fight for oil we had to fight our own water rights, which we fight for today...

Glad to hear this perspective. Surprise with the strike they talked about it.
Very serious interview...well articulated but so serious
Great interview ❤
I'm sure there'll be a movie about the people of Gaza in another hundred years...about how Netanyahu the bloodsucker, just like Hale, murdered so many innocent people, after stealing their lands from them 50 years ago.
Just finished watching KOTFM, brilliant acting ! This actress deserves an oscar !
i have known about these murders since the early 70's due to being in the boy scouts in Missouri. The Osage tribe was our local reference to the native culture we tried to copy and it good that this part of American history is finally told.
Missouri has a lot of evil, went to grad school there.
Very pretty place tho.
