Great tribute to Diana Ross & the Supremes .
"Someday We'll Be Together" is a song written by Johnny Bristol, Jackey Beavers, and Harvey Fuqua.
It was the last ( in only 5 years, 1964-1969 ) of twelve American number 1 pop singles for Diana Ross & the Supremes on the Motown label.
"Someday We'll Be Together" sold , at time, more than 2 millions copies in USA only !
Although it was released as the final Supremes song featuring Diana Ross, who left the group for a solo career in January 1970, it was recorded as Ross' first solo single and Supremes members Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong do not sing on the recording.
The single topped the Billboard Hot 100 pop singles chart in the final 1969 issue of Billboard magazine (dated December 27).
It would be the last number one hit of the 1960s.
thank you🧡as a lifelong Supremes fan I can confirm all this is true💙

What an appropriate time to cover this song, 51 years later. Yes, Someday We'll be together! I wore out two 45-rpm copies of it in 1969! Great job. You are wonderful ensemble.

Thank you, Tom.
I love it.
Thank you so much, Craven!
I loved it until the sermons. It was great. No need for speeches.
Sometimes the truth is hard to hear-for all of us. But nothing they said sounded like a sermon to me, they were right, we need to stop all this hating of our fellow man, just because they may happen to be of a different political viewpoint. Let's celebrate what we may have in common, and worry less about our small differences. We can get there.
My former pastor, Bishop Robert L. "Jackey" Beavers, co-wrote this song with Johnny Bristol.
I left out Harvey Fuqua as a co-{writer. The song was the last big hit sung by The Supremes before Diana Ross left the group. My Pastor { RIH } told us that the song { which was initially was supposed to be a gospel song } was sampled by Janet Jackson. I have held his gild record. when the song hit it's Millioneth airplay, his royalty check doubled and that was in the early 90's.
