Dustin, Thank you for the tests and evaluation. The JNS is clearly the better of the two. You mentioned that the OEM light bulb broke. Can you tell us what type of material is used in the JNS lens? Would a protective sceen be advised?
The OEM is glass. I was following a buddy too close his roost busted the headlight. The JNS lens is plastic of some type. I’d guess polycarbonate, so it’ll likely hold up better to impacts than glass, but it does scratch.
I bought a used dr200 with some janky light bars as a headlight. Seeing you turn the headlight on makes me realize what a headlight is supposed to look like😂 I’d actually enjoy riding at night and be able to see! Been wanting to get a real headlight but not sure how long I plan to keep the bike so not sure if I want to invest in it
Debiste haber dejado la cámara con la misma ISO y con la misma exposición en ambas pruebas para que la prueba fuera más realista, hasta el cielo se ve más claro en la primera que probaste. De igual manera, la calidad de JNS es indudable, saludos desde Mexico
The sky was lighter in the first because it was just after sunset so the sky was brighter. I tried my best to the keep same camera position and settings, but I was shooting with an iPhone and don’t know a way to lock in settings like that. Also my tripod was perched precariously on the seat so I didn’t trust it not to fall while I was swapping the headlights.
Great comparison for those of us thinking of upgrading the headlight on our DR650.
Thanks for the vid. I just ordered my JNS DOT headlight from Procycle.
Another thorough video, thanks Dustin!
Thanks
Thanks this is exactly what I needed. I been researching for weeks for LEDs for my xr650l. I'm gonna buy jns

I appreciate your taking the time to compare. I seem to have a problem converting my 2022 XR650 to LED. Is there a relay change necessary?
I didn’t require a relay
Great video man!
How do you wire it
@@landan5435 it has the same style plug as the stock headlight
They look exactly the same
Do you have a link for the eBay bracket?
I made the bracket for the eBay light
