James & the Violent Femmes hands down the best performers for the entire festival! Then again maybe I'm being a little biased since I was tripping balls for the first time in my life that Friday night having the time of my life!!!
@salmon96 This was filmed for a TV show, not actually in front of a live audience, so you must be mistaken. With regard to 'Verve', they actually went on to be very successful, they had to change their name to 'The Verve'. I'm sure if you look them up you'll be familiar with them.
It was all the flying on tour with the windows down. Either that, or he just shook all of it off dancing like mad. Also he may be just a Ming the Merciless cosplayer in secret, and it was easier living the dream without the bush.
