Your coverage of Japanese visuals and experiences has been a treat. These videos will be supplements to what we see and hear from our Michael's 3 months in Japan. We just picked him up from the airport on Saturday evening and will likely be seeing hundreds of pics and hearing many details of his time there when he comes to us for Thanksgiving weekend in a couple of weeks.

Good day Beth and Paul, we have been looking forward to seeing your video. I did a trip a while back with my father through the Japanese Alps and we stayed in Hakone on the first night before traveling up to the Fuji 5th station. Then on to Matsumoto Castle, Takayama and Kanazawa.
Right now we are looking forward to being back in Noosa. We have a table booked at the boathouse for 6.30pm on November 8th and are looking forward to having some oysters while enjoying the sunset. Hopefully we will be at our usual table!

Hi Mark 😊 Japan is beautiful isn’t it? Travelling through the alps would have been incredible. We will be driving past the boathouse today….our daughter is recovering from a second surgery and we’re going to take her for a drive to Noosaville. We used to go there for holidays when she was very young, so it’s a special place for our family 🤗

I visited Japan in January 2015. It was an amazing experience for sure. Learned a few things as you would including why there are no rubbish bins. Was told that there was a bomb planted in a Tokyo subway in a rubbish bin, so that prompted the removal of them. Did you try saki? very strong alcoholic rice wine. Stayed in Tokyo at the Keo Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku. Stayed in Kyoto not sure of the hotel, but it was across the road from Shinkansen station. Hakone was beautiful. was there one night after visiting Mount Fuji. Hiroshima Peace Museum brought tears to my eyes, but a real eye opener. The tour group I was with we crossed the bridge shaped like a letter T was used by the bomber crew as a target for the atomic bomb. Apparently, there are some trams that were restored to running again that survived the bomb, and I took a photo of one that looked like it may have been one of them. I have an old documentary of a bomber crew heading to bomb Japan and one shot shows one of the crewmen taking a photo of Mount Fuji. I could go on more but I'll leave it right here. Thanks for bringing back memories for me of my trip.

Hi Alison 🤗 it was a sombre experience at the museum and peace park in Hiroshima, but also a beautiful memorial. Your jacket potatoes sound delicious…we’ll have to give that a go!
