I think you're overlooking something about Pinhead, which is that his Original Pain addon makes him the best tunneler in the game. hit someone with your power as they come off hook, then slap them as soon as they break a chain and get a free down.
Pigs don't usually tunnel, but oh boy. When you get the one who thinks she's cheeky and continues to tunnel you while you have a beeping hat on... not a fun game.
As a spirit main, normally I just match the energy that survivors bring. My load out is usually meta, bc the swfs I go against mostly require it if I want to win. But if the team is chill and/or silly (love me a good jam on the lute 😜), I usually just join in on the fun and let em go.
As a Knight main, I try not to tunnel, unfortunately once my guards find a survivor, I can't smack them to leave the poor unhooked Survivor alone. If this happens, I usually let the unhooked Survivor wiggle off and leave them be for a bit.
Chuckys tunnel from my experience. As a wraith main I don't condone tunneling. Wraiths kit isn't even bad, no reason to tunnel on him if you know what ur doing
My carreer as a killer can be summarized like this: 1) Evil: At first tunneling was my main (and only) strategy 2) Good: Then I started playing more aligned to what was deemed ad acceptable 3) Neutral: Now I just don't care, and do what seems more efficient depending on the situation
The two killers I main are Xenomorph and Pyramid Head. Maybe I just haven't gone up against enough of my brothers in arms, but personally, I rarely, if ever, tunnel with either. I mean, if I find you, down you, hook you, run around looking for someone else, and end up finding you again, I'm not just going to tip my hat and say "fine weather we're having", but I only ever go out of my way to tunnel someone out if I'm losing ground and it's looking real bad for me, or if you've gone out of your way to annoy me with constant flashy saves, body blocks, or hook sabos. And I don't just mean one or two here or there, I mean OBNOXIOUS amounts. If you're one of those survivors, I am absolutely tunneling you out. Otherwise, if you get hooked twice in a row, it was just bad luck.
I mean, survivors feel they are tunnel every match. I had a 12 hook vecna game and was accused of tunneling. We talked it out, and they said that even though I hooked everyone else twice before him, I tunnel him. He used deliverance after I left the hook like 3 seconds after I left and was upset that I went back for them even though he was the last to die. So I kinda understand his feelings, but I ran no Gen perks, and his team only did 2 gens. Sometimes, the game just doesn't go your way. My point is I don't worry about survivors' fun they certainly don't care about mine, and you will be accused of it regardless. I try not to hook the same person twice, but if you unhook in front of me or if I am patrolling and see an injured survivor, I'm going for you just how it is while I don't care if I win I'm playing to win.

I'll say thankfully I haven't actually experienced much tunneling recently (I've taken a decent break from dbd and came back about a month or so ago to today) and honestly the most I've kinda experienced tunneling from was maybe a Wraith or Chucky. Maybe a bit of Whiskers but they kinda drop chase somewhat quickly to go to someone else. (The friendliest killers I've encountered have been The unknown. They're usually very silly and actually enjoyable to play against. It used to be Hillbilly but ever since his buff he's just been sweat galore, from my experiences at least. It's definitely changed since pre-buffed Hillbilly)
Pyramid head main here, it's super easy to not tunnel AS LONG AS the map isn't wide open. On really open maps it can be tough to patrol properly and not go for diabolical double, triple, or quad punishments.
My two mains are Sadako and Skull Merchant and I don't tunnel with either. As Sadako, I chase auras thanks to BBQ and teleport directly across to begin a new chase... my Sadako is literally all over the map. I will teleport back to hook and tunnel if I don't find anyone else though, so.... 😅 As Skull Merchant, I literally gen patrol so if you get tunneled there, it's your fault for usually gen camping one specific gen.
I'm a Pyramid Head and Deathslinger main but I play more like a huntress spending the match going for shots and wallbangs. Though I can't deny, I have tunneled a few unfortunate souls at least to death hook when I needed a bit of pressure. I don't necessarily need to win, but I want to at least have a chance at a kill or two. I just generally avoid tunneling when I can since I find it pretty annoying when I get tunneled out as survivor .
Makes me sad that wraiths have that honestly well earned reputation as tunnelers. Wraith is my 2nd most used killer behind nemmy and my favorite build with him is coxcombed clapper and the rune that supresses my terror radius etc. For 6 seconds after leaving invis and using them to jump scare people on gens.
As a Sadako main, we aren't tunneling you. Our teleport puts us in a lot of situations where we might just run into you off hook again. I'm not going after you on purpose, I'm just not letting you go either.

How is tunneling counterable? Flashlight, flash bangs, fireworks, blast mine have been nerfed to semi no usability. Anytime players combo perks to stop tunneling, those get nerfed. Head on, DS, background player, smash hit, adrenaline, etc. other players can try to get I the way or “ gen rush “…. Play the objective but nothing can’t stop a killer from tunneling.
Tunneling is counterable in the way that if a killer obsesses over who to chase rather where to chase, you can use that against him. Just lead him to parts of the map, where he really shouldn't be. Also, there are literally anti-tunneling perks. And DS is in a much better place again than what it used to be.

I didn't mind getting tunneled when it happened every so often- now I have to run meta perks because DBD isn't about having fun anymore, it's about winning and teabagging the fuck out of the killer at the gate for tunneling like a jackass and losing. I'd rather have a bad day on TCM than a good on DBD at this point. TCM is more violent, anyways.
@@joshsmit513 yes true, tunneling here is very common now, in my 5 matches 3-4 of those killers are tunneling style which is very annoying, the auto BT does not prevent tunneling anymore but just delay it for a short time which is useless. And agreed TCM is much gory than dbd and more fun to play as "killer side" because you are not alone, you have someone to help you hunt and kill survivors, which in dbd you are alone as killer amd it feels lonely and boring for me.
S tier tunnellers: Wraith, weaker, huntress, chunky, ghostface, clown and pyramid head. All they do is tunnel and it saddens me to have wraith up there because you don’t need to he can snowball and lock everything down if you put that monkey brain to work and get creative for ones.
Sadako doesn't tunnel. I main her, Tunnelling is bad for her, she has no chase. When you are Sadako you are a hit and run killer. you don't need to tunnel if you build up enough condemn to kill someone on no hooks.
not gonna lie. if i get tunneled and i did everything in my ability to survive, and after i get unhooked and the killer goes right onto me i just afk/die asap to get in the next game. i play in pubs alone so i couldnt care less about the experience of my teamates. i would DC but they punish me for DCing so until they get rid of the DC penalty ill just afk. bhvr encourages going afk, since they made bots to replace us if we DC but they didnt get rid of the DC penalty. if i just afk it puts my team in a terrible position, and i have no incentive to care. they gotta just let us DC if we want lol
also there are the few rar pig player who loves to tunnel the survivor with the active trap, I will never understand these players, like, they need to remove the trap, they cant do gens in the moment, why XD?

I honestly thought I was being nice to her this time. Every time I play against her, all of my teammates DC or give up. It can't be fun for people who just want to play regular games. Even in the footage I used, the entire team threw as soon as they saw Skully. I greatly dislike the character, but this video wasn't a shot at her.
This video was def fine, but Imma be real, the number one thing stopping me from playing Skull Merchant more often, despite how fun I find her to play, is that everyone just gives up on first hook. It's especially annoying with how "nice" of a player I usually am (I usually give in as soon as someone wants to farm, or wants me to let them go, or whatever, despite not really liking farm games. As well as rotating hooks as best as I can cuz more points and just generally more fun imo). Like I just wanna play the game smh

I only came here to see other surviver mains opinion who's the most killer tht tunnel. Im ghostface main i never tunnel mainly focus more on jumpscares then getting kills but clown are fhe most annoying with bottles
No way I'll tolerate tunneling, I'm qutting the match and play another games. I'll play TCM. I notice that it happens so frequently now for some stupid reason. The auto BT after hook now is useless.
Agreed! I didn't mind getting tunneled when it happened every so often- now I have to run meta perks because DBD isn't about having fun anymore, it's about winning and teabagging the fuck out of the killer at the gate for tunneling like a jackass and losing.
I'd rather have a bad day on TCM than a good on DBD at this point. TCM is more violent, anyways.
@@joshsmit513 yes true, tunneling here is very common now, in my 5 matches 3-4 of those killers are tunneling style which is very annoying, the auto BT does not prevent tunneling anymore but just delay it for a short time which is useless. And agreed TCM is much gory than dbd and more fun to play as "killer side" because you are not alone, you have someone to help you hunt and kill survivors, which in dbd you are alone as killer amd it feels lonely and boring for me.
As a blight main, tunnel makes it a lot easier, especially when playing against swfs
I am a blight main, I don’t tunnel unless if the survivor forces a base kit endurance hit from the hook otherwise your good

S tier tunnellers: Wraith, weaker, huntress, chunky, ghostface, clown and pyramid head. All they do is tunnel and it saddens me to have wraith up there because you don’t need to he can snowball and lock everything down if you put that monkey brain to work and get creative for ones.
Every Billy in Aus seems to love to tunnel and play scummy, so I don’t know where you’re playing. They play sweatier than Lich.
Sadako doesn't tunnel. I main her, Tunnelling is bad for her, she has no chase. When you are Sadako you are a hit and run killer. you don't need to tunnel if you build up enough condemn to kill someone on no hooks.

not gonna lie. if i get tunneled and i did everything in my ability to survive, and after i get unhooked and the killer goes right onto me i just afk/die asap to get in the next game. i play in pubs alone so i couldnt care less about the experience of my teamates. i would DC but they punish me for DCing so until they get rid of the DC penalty ill just afk. bhvr encourages going afk, since they made bots to replace us if we DC but they didnt get rid of the DC penalty. if i just afk it puts my team in a terrible position, and i have no incentive to care. they gotta just let us DC if we want lol

I honestly thought I was being nice to her this time. Every time I play against her, all of my teammates DC or give up. It can't be fun for people who just want to play regular games. Even in the footage I used, the entire team threw as soon as they saw Skully. I greatly dislike the character, but this video wasn't a shot at her.
This video was def fine, but Imma be real, the number one thing stopping me from playing Skull Merchant more often, despite how fun I find her to play, is that everyone just gives up on first hook.
It's especially annoying with how "nice" of a player I usually am (I usually give in as soon as someone wants to farm, or wants me to let them go, or whatever, despite not really liking farm games. As well as rotating hooks as best as I can cuz more points and just generally more fun imo).

@@chapface last thing I'm saying on this thread but yes, this is the exact way I feel. She's way more fun now but people just give up against her which sucks. And I play mostly the same way (I'll play to win when I feel like but I'm down to be a goofy killer) so like, I get it.
