From what I see most unschoolers just let their children play video games and eat junk food all day. I do believe unschooling could work in the right environment such as a farm, or an environment where they are around adults that have various skills they can apprentice under.
From what you have seen ....Even if this were accurate , parents being there with kids is always better than having kids shipped to these family breaking institutions ...
I know several homeschooling parents and none of them feed their children junk food or play video games. All of the children are Miles ahead of their peers. You are ill informed.

I agree with most of what he's saying but you must consider the environment and take care to address it carefully. On a farm, yes, in the inner city.... finding your way to whatever you like, unguided, could spell a whole battlefield of problems.
