I emailed Pete asking for some help with my vintage electronics sales being a newbie to ebay, he took the time out to actually look at my ad and give me some great feedback i went and applied the tips he gave me and my sales have been way better ever since. I'm like one of those satisfied customers on the infomercials except its not a bunch of BS lol
Z.S.2000, great. yes, quality pictures and proper heading/description; are so important. really glad to hear that pete helped you out. he is one of the good guys. best, walt
One of the few real people out there making videos to help people and not doing them for the money. He experienced how much can be made online and just wanted to share it with others. I have reached out to content creaters on a variety of different topics and most of the time they want you to donate to there patreon before giving out a simple answer, this is why Pete is one of my favorite. Just a real dude trying to help others plain and simple
Great video, great points. The only thing I would add, is that when I sell electronics, I like to show a photo of the item plugged in and on so the customer can see it working. Keep killing it!
i may be the odd one out but i love the 30 minute videos! better than any TV Show. your videos are better to click on, sit back and enjoy rather than surfing. Love it! keep it up Pete
I sell tons of VCRs and DVD/VHS combos and I have to agree with you. It's the easiest money you'll ever make. Although I'm gonna say you're better off lotting the blank VHS tapes up in groups of 8-12 and selling them separately. I have no problem getting $60-65 for a VCR with just the AV cables and nothing else. If I can get the remote, $75-80. The way I see it is that the majority of the people buying these are so that they can watch their old VHS tapes. Not necessarily to record TV onto VHS tapes.
I'm from L.A. but traveled to Arizona during the summer and hit up some Thrift stores and bought a bunch of good cassette tapes for 50 cents each and have been selling them on etsy for $15 each...tapes are coming back!
Thank you so much Pete! I was already selling this stuff but I am going to start adding manual, media, and cables just like you suggested. This was the push I needed to do it. Great video!!!
Wow Pete, that was an awesome video. Thank you. I used to repair electronics years ago and then I got a better-paying job. After 30 years just recently lost it . I'm now66 years old but by golly I still know how to repair stuff so I'm going to give this a shot , try to make a living from it. And at my age I can't find a decent Tech job anywhere. But being a greeter at Walmart is not in my repertoire .lol
Do you ever have issues buying the fedex labels on eBay? Every time I try to buy fed ex I get a error and I have to buy USPS which is more expensive for heavy items.
Great video. Let me tell you another reason why demand for VCRs and cassette decks will remain strong: Not only do people have large collections of commercial movies and music in these formats, they also have PERSONAL movies of family events, get-togethers, graduations, vacations, social events, etc. recorded in this format. I have a bunch of family footage in VHS, Hi-8, and I have all the live performances of my father's band in cassette format.Years ago I hooked up a VCR, a cassette deck, and a record player to my computer and digitized a lot of this stuff and THAT is what a lot of people will continue to want to do (in fact I put many of them up on RUclips). There are tons of footage of old concerts, out of print recordings, and all sorts of things that are not available on CD, DVD, or digital formats and people want to digitize this stuff and make it available.
Thumbs up Pete! Good resellers don't need to beg for members to join a secret beach to make it! Think about calculated shipping, it encourages buyers closer to you which is always better for the seller. Your packages are on fewer trucks and make it there faster, which equals less problems.
I accepted a return on a unit the customer said the dvd worked but the vhs didn't . I know they both worked . . When it got back sure enough they both worked and I resold it . The customer scammed me and used me for a free blockbuster to TRANSFER VIDEO
I don't think there is a high demand for VCR's - Hell I tried to sell a ton of VCR movies (mostly Disney) in yard sales for 50 cents each and never sold one tried every summer for 3 years, now they sit in bags in my closet! Those "Baby boomers" are a dying breed - not to be morbid, but they're passing away literally , and those who aren't are actually using today's technology just as well as the teenagers, they know how to stream movies on their t.v! And I don't even want to count the amount of cassette tapes I have shoved in my closet that no one wants! What pisses me off is last night I was searching E-bay for an alarm clock I had back in High School (the 90's) it was the only alarm clock I've ever owned that I actually woke up to I wasn't going to pay $15-20 for a used one! scrolled down more Brand new I got excited then I saw the damn price tag of $75! just because they typed the word "Vintage" just because something is over a certain age doesn't make everything "Vintage" and no damn alarm clock is worth that much!
Hi peter Wow this was very informative. I'm not a reseller but I still love to watch this stuff . THe university degree ofCraigslist Hunter. HAHA Thanks Donna from Vancouver , Canada
Thank you so much for helping me with becoming a better seller Pete. I really appreciate all your videos and have been binge watching you for 2 days :)
I agree Pete. Anytime i watch a video and the person starts in about joining groups or bringing up patreon i just give them a thumbs down and stop watching. Those people are just building extra revenue streams and i have seen a lot of bogus info being handed out. Most of them were in diapers when i started selling on ebay in 1997 and i know their info is flawed . i typically watch videos for the people in them not the content. Keep up the good work.
Every seller who complains must be millionaires and have the ability to go to every single thrift store in America! And obviously they learned everything on their own, ROFL. Pete you are helpful in so many ways and because of that you are loved and followed by many.
Thanks Pete for sharing your awesome knowdlege!!! Wish you a merry christmas and a happy new year! Hope to see many more great videos in 2018! Best regards from Germany.
You forgot to mention the Holy Grails of VCRs: SVHS and Betamax. Both are difficult to find, but if in working condition, either call be worth $150 or more.
Best. Video. Ever! :). I pack my dvd/vcr combos using 1 inch foam insulation board from Home Depot or Lowes. Since packing my electronics in this, I almost never get returns. And some of these items have been $400 vhs to dvd recorders. Foam board is worth the low cost and adds little to you total ship weight. Now I will be on the lookout for vhs players and tape decks! Thanks Pete!!
Thanks so much for the information! I actually have some VHS players that I picked up a while back, but I didn't have remotes. Thanks to your video, I'll add the manual, wire, and blank media and sell with the remote. QUESTION: Is the photo background area melamine? It looks cleanable. Anyway, Thanks again for the information and have a great day!
ULINE’s shipping rates are very high. I’ll find cheaper shipping supplies locally or amazon prime. Turntables are hot now too, I’m making and selling custom feet for them on eBay.
Pete thank you, I often wondered about the VHS only, combos sell great like you have told us. But now I'll be looking out for the VHS 4Heads. I will say the info on the presentation was awesome thanks for that... You have helped me allot in the receiver, CD juke box, tape decks, area. Sense I can often repair them myself it has become good money. Thank you for your insight super helpful!
Thanks for the info Pete. I sold my first Dvd recorder a few weeks ago, paid 30 and sold for $155 plus shipping. I was aslways scared to ship stuff like that. It did take me awhile to find a decent box in the dumpsters
wow, everything you've mentioned im this video is true! im already looking to get back into reselling on ebay since my inspiration came back . the listing for VCRs are like $60+ and you'd find that shit on the street for $5 lol .
Thank you for your humility Pete and sharing this wonderful information. From the beginning of your channel you have demonstrated a passion to help others sellers especially the under dogs ( and soon other sellers will follow this model and inspire other sellers to give each a hand without having to purchase a course. I a not pooping the reason why some sellers need to sell their content and that’s their right to do so. Yet everybody needs a helping hand and hopefully other sellers will follow thru and pay it forward and help fellow sellers “Only if they have done their home work and don’t expect to be spoon feed all the information. Thank you Cheers
Pete, I like your channel but I really don't know about this one, the vcr/dvd recorder combos and high end tape decks yes, but vcrs and the low end stuff? There is just too many vcrs out there, baby-boomers will eventually stop buying them and quick trends end fast, before you know it E-bay will be saturated with them whiled at the same time you could pick one up for a few bucks on the street.
Awesome video Pete, I love selling VHS, Cassettes, Laserdiscs and record players! Also old and vintage computers and computer parts. Its like gold for me!
You are a good-hearted person Craigslist Hunter! I'm glad I found you on youtube. You have no Idea how much you have helped me. Things are better now and getting better...Thank You!
Our thrift stores (esp Greedwill) price everything way too high. I've seen Greedwill price things higher than Amazon. I just do the old Ed Bassmaster "Pssshhh!" I get alot of these formats from garage sales though.
Thank you so much for sharing. Love you cause your not stingy with information. Bottom line is the more you give, the more comes back to you. All the best this new year..... your loyal subscriber
Awesome Video Craigslist hunter, I was listing my first VCR/DVD Combo, a lot of great tips I used. I shipped it in a Large Flat Rate Box though. cost me 17$. Im Def after these, I expanded to new things after my Golf Club Market started peaking. Heres to a Happy 2019.
Awesome Pete!! I have been trying to pick up as many VCR's and other electronics since I began watching your channel. I do get some that power up in the store but end up not playing. I picked up a head cleaner tape hoping that it would help but it only solves the problem once in a while. Great information. I really appreciate your tips. Merry Christmas!!!
I was doing these electronics and they don't sell that great. The problem I saw was trying to test these and most of the ones you get have either been sitting in a basement or in a garage and they are filthy. The time spent cleaning them and testing them for me was not worth the efforts.
Pete always enjoy your videos. I too, do the same with fellow pickers. I try to share the wealth of knowledge & a few will use it to their benefit or profit. Thrift stores here charge no less than 14 bucks on average. Estate sales here charge about 10-15. VCRs generally last but cassette deck belts as you've mentioned often rot. If the deck isn't a standard model like those you've shown with "mechanical," buttons but instead a servomechanism like a Teac R 919X , servo's are notorious for "locking up." Check those model #'s before buying ! As for remotes yes it really helps sell the VCR because people have become super couch lazy they do not want to get up they want the remote which is why the remote often sells higher than the player.
I got a free VHS/DVD player from someone knowing I sell things. No remote. I put it up 99 cent auction expecting $20, maybe $30 at the most. It ended up selling $157.00 !
Thanks for that I spent 15 years in the 80s and early 90s selling and repairing tape decks and VHS players ,I thought all those skills went to the rubbish tip, I might just get back into this and have some fun and make a few bucks. Cheers
I think that you are right about VHS because of the lack anyone producing them. There will be people that not only want to watch old movies, they may have home videos that they want to see. Not hard to see that demand will drive the price up. I don't really get the tape deck phenom. as much but I hope you are right, I have a few to sell.
I can confirm that cassettes are back in a HUGE way with the younger crowd. My son makes music (vaporwave) and has his own label. Guess what... his product is released on cassette. When he drops a new cassette, often sells out in days. Thanks for the video, Peter. I haven't started sourcing yet (still unloading "inventory" accumulated over the years) but I'm going to start soon, and electronics/audio might just be my niche!
estate sales are good places for vintage electronics. Do you charge shipping / handling extra and do you have a restock fee? Could be why vhs is big is because it records? Most of the newer devices are difficult to setup. VHS simple to operate compared to all the newfangled ROKUs, etc. and you need internet service, cable service, etc. VCRs were simple. And they didn't break! You could set the timer to record your programs. Heck, I would buy a VHS again. Your packaging must be hefty, because USPS will toss that box around like water. I just checked Amazon and those units are not getting so-so reviews. Seems the units broke down, or they arrived broken in the reviews. I would take a chance on smaller devices, more handheld devices.
Pete, because of you I started to look out for electronics. Bought my first Items, and found a Video Movie camera for zero Money in working order ( the same Model was used by Marty McFly in Back to the future) You're always a inspiration. Thank you for all you do in this Reseller Community. Merry Christmas Pete 🎄
So you are saying to purchase a cable for the customer, print out a manual since most of them don't have the manual, and also throw-in a blank VHS tape ? And on top of that purchase a remote ? All that for possibly as you say an extra $20 ? Mathematics may not have been my strongest subject in school but, doesn't seem worth it. And then towards the end you say if the buyer wants to item saying it doesn't work to give the money back ? Are you kidding me ?
Very nice video, i looking at your video now at 3am - right after packing over 30 parcels from my internet auctions today. Greetings from Czech Republic :)
Thank you for sharing. I am one of those 90% you spoke of. I have a few of these sitting around my house from personal use. I will do one, at least this month, and let you know how it wored😃😃 again. THAMKS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Thanx Pete for the pep talk! For the 5% that will follow thru with the advice Pete is giving. go to www.VintageCassette.com. They have many, many cassette decks listed. Plus if you click on the "Buy It" tab it will show you the current decks on sale on Ebay and how much people are asking for them. Great resource for us flippers!
Peter....I've bought vcrs for 5 bucks and turned them for 30+ each....some for much more! Thanks for all the tips and tricks! Your advise has been invaluable for electronics resale! Rob
Thanks for the pointers on VCR and Cassette players. I was mainly reselling shirts, housewares and stuffed animals and everything collapsed on me. When started with electronics was a little rough and it seemed the only brands that would sell in older... vintage VCR and cassette players were by Sony, Zenith and Samsung. The 80's to early 90's VCR can weight between 11-17 pounds. Costing $20 - $36 to ship via USPS. Sometimes FedEX is cheaper a bit but they got a habit of manhandling peoples packages. The USPS too. The older VCR's are twice the size and weight.Probably the last 6 - 9 months that got were selling electronics helped me get out of being deep in the negative as tally how much have into things total.
Thanks CH for the valuable info! I'm a new subscriber to the channel. Do you have any videos on running the actual business? Tracking expenses, eBay fees, paypal fees, mileage, taxes, shipping, materials....how do you track it all and make sure you're profitable? Thanks for you time! Great video!
Assuming you are shipping these to CONUS -based buyers only what makes you guys think you are smarter than those very people you're planning to sell these things to ? What prevents them , your target crowd, who mind you are already on eBay regardless of the status maybe occasional buyers only but still there nevertheless to visit the very same pawn shops and thrift stores that you are thinking of sourcing this stuff from? Or even browse local Craigslist listings? Why would they buy from you, remotely and for much higher price that they can do locally ? I am not even thinking any of you are seriously pondering possibility to sell this old tech internationally as that could and very likely would incur substantial losses in almost 100% of such cases. And I'm not even talking about actual condition of those VCR's and tape decks you are about to find "for $2"...Most if not all of those things are broken one way or another...And most if not all of you have no idea how much it takes both in knowledge and in parts and tools to at least fix them ,let alone bring them back to manufacturer's specifications.
They stopped making them? Ah, that's the reason. Aside from the quality over time one VHS can hold more even more than a blu ray DVDs as in just the films and probably the extras as well. also if you recorded from a DVD the quality is better than a prerecorded time. I always found that odd.
FINALLY I find a stand up guy to watch and learn from... without having to sign up to some "FREE" site and get "FREE SECRETS" and all that crap. thank you so much for your videos! it really does help a lot!
Double deck= double trouble since you are dealing with not one but TWO worn mechanisms and two sets of heads. And since you are selling on a platform which always puts the customer first the chances of return (which you are paying for btw) are immense. But how do you know your are getting back the very same unit you shipped? Appearance only is nothing, there are parts inside you know nothing about and there are people who need those parts and definitely know their worth so don't be surprised if you get a return request from someone with a much deeper knowledge of the subject. You can sell Hi-Fi and analog video equipment even on eBay (but better have you own store or at least a site) for very good , sweet profit but your knowledge is everything...If you don't have it, you won't make it in this business. Unless you are shooting for an extremely low profit margin and sell in "for parts or not working" section, these items are too complicated to deal with for the majority of home based sellers. If I'm not mistaken with the latest amendment to eB and PP policies you can return without any reason even if the seller has explicitly advertised the no-return policy.
This is the information age yet no paid courses, no Patreon, no mastermind BS, no secret facebook groups just great advice and continued PROOF of your succes. Thank you for sharing.
First off, Thanks for all the content! Love all your videos!! Disappointed?? In this video at the end you said that you weren't charging for any of your content?? What are you charging $4.99 for??
THANK YOU for this great, complete walk-through the process and most importantly the THINKING behind it. I'm in the 5% I juzt startled picking these up last month and really appreciate your ideas on how I can maximize the sales.
Love the video! Great info and tips. I have a lot of VCRs We need to test out. Typewriters and adding machines we have had some success with. Hipster younger people like the old tech.
As most have said. This was gold and took the fear out of listing bigger items. Im one of the people that sticks with smalls because shipping scared me. the 2.00 per pound rule is what i needed! Thank Pete!
Great tips on the marketing and packaging/shipping. Good advice. If you tell the local pawn shops about it, they will look it up on eBay and take that money off the table themselves (by either raising their store price or selling on eBay themselves). There is no way that my local pawn shops -- maybe 20 of them around here and all a bunch of low-class vultures -- are going to help ME make 100% with them as the middleman. No way possible. It would be self-defeating, for me, to pass along any of this to my local pawn shops. They are worthless and I refuse to do any business with them. Plus, they don't "deal." I took a brand new (in gift box) piece of gold/silver jewelry in to them, which was selling on Amazon for $75. I wanted to trade straight across for an old beat-up wood easel that they had with a price tag of $35. They refused to deal in any way! Good riddance to them. Watch "Pawn Stars" and look at the vulgar, rip-off prices they offer every customer, always half or less than the market value. No way I will do business with such vultures.
do you know where to go to get the manual on a Panasonic DVD VIDEO RECORDER DMR E100H?i keep getting add this extension and downloads. I just picked this up today for 12 bucks.
Hey guys, just remember if you're looking for DVD-VCR combos from places like Goodwill...be sure to test them thoroughly with a TV. I mean go get a VHS and DVD from the shelves and hook it up to a TV. Goodwill never tests stuff, and out of 8 units I picked in the last week only 2 actually work. This goes for any of their electronics really. The failure to work rate in my area is quite ridiculous. Better luck with garage sales for working stuff.
Hey Pete, what happened to that business venture that u had a video about a while ago where u were sitting around a table with a bunch of young blokes - something to do with a selling platform they had designed using video instead of pictures to sell your item? I never heard anything about it since, so interested to hear what happened.
Hi Pete! I've been reselling for almost a year, with only ONE return. I've had several return cases opened but, the BUYERS are too lazy to ship the items back or just trying to scam me because many of them know lots of resellers will just refund and tell them to keep the item. I will always call their bluff by asking them to send it back and I'll refund. 99% just disappear. Thanks for the cool videos!! I've been learning from you since day one!
I have been reselling since 2000. It all, and it ALWAYS goes back to "People want what they had." Also 8 tracks sell if they are the right ones, because classic car collectors have 8 track players in those cars. Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper etc.
Love your videos Peter! I have been watching your videos while I recover from back injury. I wanted ask, would adding a goodie of a universal remote from the 99 cent only store that costs $1.99 increase the asking price? Also, would programming the remote with the correct code and including that with some free (coupon) Harbor Freight batteries increase your asking price? Keep up the great work and advice brother!
Part of the 5% here... I've been selling VCRs for a while (especially the DVD/VCR combo units), going to start watching tape decks more closely now. thanks for the heads up
Hell what about reel to reel ! I am the one purchasing these things for up to 1500 bucks. I am kicking myself down the street for not keeping all the VHS and tapes units from years ago. Now, just waiting for spring and all the garage sales .... even keeping an eye out at the curb nowadays. Why did I throw out all these items ..... Yep, still kicking myself ......
Pete, first off, I want to say thanks! You're videos have encouraged me to try reselling for the past 2 months and it's been good. I've since, more than tripled my initial investment on products. Most of my items that I sell come from Goodwill and my son actually enjoys dumpster diving with me for shipping materials. Although I hold a full time job, it's been a really fun hobby of sorts to gain a little income. Recently, I've make a pretty decent return on a nice turntable and some toys from Goodwill. At $10 a pop I was able to resell for around $50 a piece. Recouping my initial investment on these products, plus a lot more. I'm sure being in the toys category, and being so close to Christmas, this is what motivated the sales. With that being said, my questions is, do you focus on specific items to purchase for resell during different times of the year? If so, can you give some examples, maybe a video of those items and when might be the best time to pick them up? Thanks in advance!
I love your attitude. I also am a new person to selling this type of equipment but technically trained well enough, in computer repair, to also sell an amplifier for $300. I sent using Fedex, and in a hurry, took a box with a conversion VCR to CD unit, and used the compact styrofoam to ship it. I also look for people giving away, packing materials, and boxes in the neighborhood sales. I got 3 big bags of bubble, styro, and packing materials. Great stuff for a girl!
Hi Pete, First, let me say Sir thank you for sharing this information with us and you ROCK...! I’m a firm believer that people who “Pay it forward” and practice “random acts of kindness” will be Blessed in their lives. Yes, I have no doubt that you are loosing money that you could be receiving by charging each of us to learn the knowledge that you share and provide us with in each of your videos. I also know that if you were to require us to pay you I wouldn’t be able to afford it and I would miss out in sharing these opportunities with you. I’m a disabled Veteran. I finally had to leave my career in 2009 because I could no longer preform the duties required of me because of my disabilities. It took my Lawyer more than 3 years of fighting against the Social Security Disability Administration in court before they would finally agree with all of my Doctors and label me as 100% disabled. Needless to say, during that time we only had our savings to live off of and in the end our life savings was gone. Since I receive less than $1,200.00 per month from Social Security, we are forced to live paycheck to paycheck and never have any extra to start saving again... I know that there are so many people who are trying to live in similar situations that they could never afford to pay either... It is a blessing to all of us who are living this type of life that you have a kind heart and are willing to help others without charging us...! Please know that what you are doing is worth more than you could ever charge...! Thank you again Pete. I hope and pray that what I learn from you might help to bring some much needed cash into our home and the homes of those who find themselves in need as we are... Right now we own an old, rusted out 1995 Jeep Wrangler that has been sitting for over a year now in our drive. We can’t drive it because there is no flooring in it. When you sit in it and look down all you see is the ground and it needs a new starter... We also have a 2005 Special Dodge Van to help me to ride when I have to go to a Doctor’s appointment because I cannot ride in a regular vehicle. It has been sitting for about a month now because it overheats whenever you drive it. I’m not certain what’s wrong with it because we cannot have anyone look at it until we can find the money to do so... I’m sorry that this is so long and off topic but I just wanted you to know what some of your subscriber’s lives are like and just how much it would hurt us if you were not the kind hearted and caring person that you must be... As I stated earlier, I guarantee that my wife and I are not the only subscriber’s you have who are trying to live with issues too...
I have a really nice DVD/VCR combo w/ remote, manual, cables, and sealed blank media and it's been sitting (Facebook Marketplace) since early Summer :(
Man your amazing! I am going to try your recommendations, I am new to reselling and started with some items around the house. So hope one day I can be as successful as you at it. Thanks for sharing!!!
Pete - You're the best. I'm so impressed with you, your channel, and your philosophy. I don't even sell anymore but since I'm 61 and got shafted at work I'm taking my time, learning, and will be starting again in several months. Keep up the great work.
great info Pete! every DVD or DVD/VCR I have listed has sold this QTR. Another good tip if you have aLCD display snap a pic with a good screen shot on top of player. I used a Santa DVD STILL pic and they sold for gifts left and right
I emailed Pete asking for some help with my vintage electronics sales being a newbie to ebay, he took the time out to actually look at my ad and give me some great feedback i went and applied the tips he gave me and my sales have been way better ever since. I'm like one of those satisfied customers on the infomercials except its not a bunch of BS lol
Z.S.2000, great. yes, quality pictures and proper heading/description; are so important.
really glad to hear that pete helped you out. he is one of the good guys. best, walt

Great video, great points. The only thing I would add, is that when I sell electronics, I like to show a photo of the item plugged in and on so the customer can see it working. Keep killing it!
I sold many of them on ebay....I actually sold one for $1000 2 years ago..You are %100 sir
i may be the odd one out but i love the 30 minute videos! better than any TV Show. your videos are better to click on, sit back and enjoy rather than surfing. Love it! keep it up Pete
Love it! That's also why 10% of fishermen catch 90% of fish!
RetroCollector64 : I have one VHS tape from my father that I need to convert to DVD. You are right.
I'm from L.A. but traveled to Arizona during the summer and hit up some Thrift stores and bought a bunch of good cassette tapes for 50 cents each and have been selling them on etsy for $15 each...tapes are coming back!
I'm fromm anaheim cal.mayra 👍👋
Pete what happen to the video you uploaded them removed shortly after? Just curious. Thanks
Do you ever have issues buying the fedex labels on eBay? Every time I try to buy fed ex I get a error and I have to buy USPS which is more expensive for heavy items.
Seems I learn something on every video, Thanks Pete
You forgot to say Block the Bidder after accepting the return.
Yes, excatly!
Bought a Sony DVD VHS Combo for $3.00 on Saturday 12/23 Sold 12/24 $75 including shipping. No Joke this is LEGIT!!!!
What pisses me off is last night I was searching E-bay for an alarm clock I had back in High School (the 90's) it was the only alarm clock I've ever owned that I actually woke up to I wasn't going to pay $15-20 for a used one! scrolled down more Brand new I got excited then I saw the damn price tag of $75! just because they typed the word "Vintage" just because something is over a certain age doesn't make everything "Vintage" and no damn alarm clock is worth that much!
absolutely, right, ive been pushing people to buy VCRS for a while now!
Hi peter
Wow this was very informative. I'm not a reseller but I still love to watch this stuff .
THe university degree ofCraigslist Hunter. HAHA
Thanks
Donna from Vancouver , Canada
Thank you Pete, I appreciate the hard work you you put in your videos! You are helping me send my kids to college debt free!
Thank you so much for helping me with becoming a better seller Pete. I really appreciate all your videos and have been binge watching you for 2 days :)
My dad paid 600 pound for a Ferguson videostar about 30 years ago tho ,,,, cool VID
PEter
I have a question . Do people who sell on Craigslist ,do shipping?
Thanks
Donna
Here before 5 million.
Taco Stacks What's up with you Taco? 5 million?
I love your videos flea market are awesome
LOL..Don't scrap him!
You made 5 million yet?
Thanks so much for the information! I actually have some VHS players that I picked up a while back, but I didn't have remotes. Thanks to your video, I'll add the manual, wire, and blank media and sell with the remote. QUESTION: Is the photo background area melamine? It looks cleanable. Anyway, Thanks again for the information and have a great day!
ULINE’s shipping rates are very high. I’ll find cheaper shipping supplies locally or amazon prime. Turntables are hot now too, I’m making and selling
custom feet for them on eBay.
Thanks CL Hunter for sharing your vast knowledge and for helping us as its tough to survive out here♡♡
Pete thank you, I often wondered about the VHS only, combos sell great like you have told us.
I've been selling these a little bit lately. My town dump has an electronics section and these come in almost daily and I take them every single time.
dammit pete, you are spreading my niche!
No biggie though. Most people arent willing to take the time to ship these.
i fall victim! i skip over these because i have my own little niche...plenty for us all
your lights are so much brighter than my box lights. What brand are they? What size are the bulbs... 700 watt?
Thank you for your humility Pete and sharing this wonderful information.
From the beginning of your channel you have demonstrated a passion to help others sellers especially the under dogs ( and soon other sellers will follow this model and inspire other sellers to give each a hand without having to purchase a course. I a not pooping the reason why some sellers need to sell their content and that’s their right to do so. Yet everybody needs a helping hand and hopefully other sellers will follow thru and pay it forward and help fellow sellers “Only if they have done their home work and don’t expect to be spoon feed all the information.
Thank you
Cheers
Pete, I like your channel but I really don't know about this one, the vcr/dvd recorder combos and high end tape decks yes, but vcrs and the low end stuff? There is just too many vcrs out there, baby-boomers will eventually stop buying them and quick trends end fast, before you know it E-bay will be saturated with them whiled at the same time you could pick one up for a few bucks on the street.
Interesting stuff Pete! Getting my driver's license in 2018! Excited to CRUSH 2018!
Great video!!! Thanks for sharing. You are a great person
If you want to keep that driver's lisence you won't have unprotected sex...yea that's a thing in the year 2018...game changer.

Sooo....whaaaaat?
Video of testing?
Awesome video Pete, I love selling VHS, Cassettes, Laserdiscs and record players! Also old and vintage computers and computer parts. Its like gold for me!
You're a great man Pete! Appreciate your videos, knowledge and inspiration. All the best for Christmas etc. Cheers, from Sweden.
TEST TEST TEST! MANY OLD CASSETTE DECKS WILL BE FAULTY! YOU REALLY HAVE TO TEST RECORDING AND NOT JUST PLAY!
As a 5 %er, Thank You. I've been collecting both of these for 2 years, but haven't tested or listed any yet. Now I'm motivated.
Get it done, sir!
C.J. Gordon you want to sell a wholesale lot?
You are a good-hearted person Craigslist Hunter! I'm glad I found you on youtube. You have no Idea how much you have helped me. Things are better now and getting better...Thank You!
Awesome and interesting information! Thank you! We're gonna crush 2018! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Yeah everyone is getting on ebay... driving down the price :( went from $60 to $15 bucks :(
honestly... these videos are kind of..... Awesome!! Best flip channel on youtube, no bullcrap, just raw info.
To those using FedEx on ebay. Walgreens branches take dropoff packages now. If you have no FedEx store in your area like I do.
oh shit really? sweet
You're the best, Pete. Thank you for your kind, thoughtful advice. And Merry Christmas!!!!!!
What's the name of you sons label?
Your*
estate sales are good places for vintage electronics.
Bought my first Items, and found a Video Movie camera for zero Money in working order ( the same Model was used by Marty McFly in Back to the future)
You're always a inspiration.
Thanks AverageJoe
FINALLY I find a stand up guy to watch and learn from... without having to sign up to some "FREE" site and get "FREE SECRETS" and all that crap. thank you so much for your videos! it really does help a lot!
thank you! lots of vcr's at my local GW, I'm going tomorrow. Where do you get the cables that you include in yours?
Thanks Pete bought three dual deck players & even a receiver all are Pioneer's comps on eBay are high. I go all of them for $10.00 not bad! Thanks Rob
People would laugh when I told them I was flipping vcrs for 40 bucks. So easy to get at yard sells for $1 when you jew them down from 3 dollars. Lol
Hi Pete,
First, let me say Sir thank you for sharing this information with us
and you ROCK...!
I’m a firm believer that people who “Pay it forward” and practice
“random acts of kindness” will be Blessed in their lives.
Yes, I have no doubt that you are loosing money that you could be
receiving by charging each of us to learn the knowledge that you
share and provide us with in each of your videos.
I also know that if you were to require us to pay you I wouldn’t be
able to afford it and I would miss out in sharing these opportunities
with you.
I’m a disabled Veteran. I finally had to leave my career in 2009 because
I could no longer preform the duties required of me because of my
disabilities.
It took my Lawyer more than 3 years of fighting against the Social Security
Disability Administration in court before they would finally agree with all of
my Doctors and label me as 100% disabled.
Needless to say, during that time we only had our savings to live off of and
in the end our life savings was gone.
Since I receive less than $1,200.00 per month from Social Security, we are
forced to live paycheck to paycheck and never have any extra to start saving
again...
I know that there are so many people who are trying to live in similar situations
that they could never afford to pay either...
It is a blessing to all of us who are living this type of life that you have a kind
heart and are willing to help others without charging us...!
Please know that what you are doing is worth more than you could ever charge...!
Thank you again Pete.
I hope and pray that what I learn from you might help to bring some much needed
cash into our home and the homes of those who find themselves in need as we are...
Right now we own an old, rusted out 1995 Jeep Wrangler that has been sitting for over
a year now in our drive. We can’t drive it because there is no flooring in it.
When you sit in it and look down all you see is the ground and it needs a new starter...
We also have a 2005 Special Dodge Van to help me to ride when I have to go to a Doctor’s
appointment because I cannot ride in a regular vehicle.
It has been sitting for about a month now because it overheats whenever you drive it.
I’m not certain what’s wrong with it because we cannot have anyone look at it until we
can find the money to do so...
I’m sorry that this is so long and off topic but I just wanted you to know what some of
your subscriber’s lives are like and just how much it would hurt us if you were not the
kind hearted and caring person that you must be...
As I stated earlier, I guarantee that my wife and I are not the only subscriber’s you have
who are trying to live with issues too...
Pete -
You're the best.
Another good tip if you have aLCD display snap a pic
with a good screen shot on top of player. I used a Santa DVD STILL pic and they sold for gifts left and right
