Fun Fact, the dance off is a canon part of the game. Specifically on the War Mantis boots, it says "The more we danced, the more the Cabal battlenet lit up with requests for intelligence..." - unknown. Basically any official media put out by Bungie is potentially canon lore.
They even make our antics apart of the lore. Players will randomly jump off the tower or dance with no music playing, so the canon reason is that we have brain damage from dying so often and being dead for so long before.
I thing they could piece together that it's apart of the game

The one comment that everyone will agree with is wanting a tv show. This lore is so deep and good that this would make an amazing tv show. Having played the game for 7 years now I want a TV or books about this universe showing the world.

D2 vanilla campaign I don’t think is great or even forsaken but everything after that u can feel actually has a direction they want to go in and the story actually progresses.

Jumping into enormous holes is actually a Destiny tradition. Usually in Raids or Dungeons - you just pitch yourself into a gigantic spectacle hole, it's gorgeous, you fall for miles, and then use your abilities to not die on landing. Warlocks can just glide, so she can stop all her momentum and be fine.

dancing is such a key element to the actual game lol i remember huge dance circles that most of the players used to make when the game was at its peak in popularity some years ago. im pretty sure you can even find videos out there of them

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Something that I think would be too copyright-able to react to, but I suggest watching anyways, is youtuber Husky Raid's various "Saw something strange..." videos. They're in-game dance videos using a hodgepodge of songs in each.
The dance trailer was my favorite live action they had. It was so much fun and the music was so catchy that it immediately went to my playlist for repeat listens.

Fun fact [provided I'm remembering this correctly and my old buddy from high school wasn't lying]: Destiny getting Led Zeppelin songs in their trailers was a HUGE deal, since LZ didn't usually give the rights to their songs to video game companies.
Loved that "Law of the Jungle" trailer since I first saw it. I've had that line stuck in my head ever since. Also, FOR THE PUPPIES!

Well, Bungie is partnered with Sony now, so live action Destiny maybe sometime in the future. Hopefully. I do hope you continue with the Destiny trailers, the DLCs and the season trailers. The latest Lightfall one was great.
I'd love a feature length movie that covers the "Hunter's Tale" (The story of Dredgen Yor and Shin Malphur). I feel it could be done as a lead-off fairly easily, given that the majority of the SFX would only be needed for two scenes. Man, I'd love to see Destiny come to the silver screen...

Season of the drifter though has some really good story about the Drifter, a character that will show up during Destiny 2 Forsaken. Also during that seasons story would be a great time to react to byf’s video “The Last Word & Thorn complete history” honestly I think that’s his best video besides Dynasty

I love how as ridiculous as these trailers can get they are technically cannon to a degree. Our player guardian is more serious, but the amount of canonical stupid shit guardians do is hilarious. Can't wait till you guys check out Destiny 2 the story and characters only get better from there. Especially some of the seasons.

"FOR THE PUPPIES" trailer was so great. I loved that one and the 3 guardians traveling trailer "lets find out"
None of this behavior is played up in the trailer for jokes. Canonically most other beings in the galaxy regard guardians as batshit insane with inexplicable tactics and shenanigans and we are terrifying foes because of it. We can be permanently killed but only in extenuating circumstances, which means for the most part we can die with zero consequences and this is the result.
Love that this isn’t an exaggeration 😁🤩

As a Destiny 2 player I love it whenever you guys do Destiny reactions. Can't wait until you guys start reacting to Destiny 2 stuff. The Red War was a turning point in the lore & a lot of current players wish they'd been around to play in it, plus Bungie did a lot better job getting an over-arcing narrative with Destiny 2.
As a suggestion, you should check out the different seasons of Destiny 2 and the story surrounding it.

The Destiny series really got some cool trailers and I think the Dancing trailer is one of the top trailers. It's just so much fun to watch. The seasonal trailers are the ones to really watch for too. Looking forward to seeing more on this channel

arcstrider was one of the first super abilitys i liked when i first played it back in 2017 and i've made a whole lot of progress i'm still learning how to complete the dungeons of course since they've vaulted some of the main content like the original story etc etc

II: Analysis
This is an archetypical engagement. It represents many hundreds of failed operations.
Guardian activity in the Freehold AO has exploded across recent campaign seasons. Tactical attrition exceeds both frictional projections and our ability to regenerate losses. New tactics are necessary.
The primary threat is the Guardians’ individual counter-attrition capability.
Guardians can be rebuilt after even total disintegrative trauma. This capability is provided by a small autonomous drone unit called a Dead Person [trans. unclear]. The Dead Person conceals itself during combat. It is not a viable target for direct fire. Saturation attack by artillery/heavy air/orbital fire may have good effect (although Guardians transmat frequently and refuse to assemble into large formations).
Solitary Dead Persons have been observed in all areas of operation. The relationship between solitary and paired Dead Persons remains unclear.
Psion analysis indicates that specific areas are inimicable to Guardian counter-attritional reconstruction. Phobos Command has initiated an orbital survey. BL I/2 will attack the Vex gate artifact in Meridian Bay to secure possible related intelligence.
Flayer analysis suggests that the Hive have developed unconventional counter-Dead Person capability. The capture of Hive leadership might yield vital strategic intelligence, including weapons or tactics capable of defeating Guardians permanently.

Have you guys seen the Raids yet? I don't remember that, funnily enough. Most of them are continuations of their respective stories, well in my opinion anyway.
Vault of Glass is where we dig deeper into the Vex's territory.
Crota's End is when we kill Crota twice, and for good.
King's Fall is pretty much the same, but with Oryx.
Wrath of the Machine has us finding an old enemy enhanced with SIVA.
Ok so I can explain a fair few things.
The dance off... This is established in cannon lore that guardians who are immortal paracausal entities get bored standing around.
Because guardians can't stay still, and so they dance! And when one guardian starts the party? EVERYONE JOINS THE PARTY!
It's also established that guardians throw themselves off high places for fun, because if they die they'll just be resurrected.
Live action destiny?
This has been put forward... I'm not sure if it's a TV show ect but yeah, it might happen.
Destiny in general shows, guardians are from opposing sides of life politically and generally and we all get along for the most part because the loot is more important and protecting the last city and its civilians is priority.
The classes in lore and out of it DO NOT GET ALONG!
It boils down to difference in opinion on subjects and how to fight...
Hunters are lone wolves who prefer precision and dagger like strikes who patrol the outside world.
Titans are stronger together who prefer to punch things to death and mount the walls of the last city.
Warlocks are lore scholars, who prefer to read books gaining knowledge of the enemy.
Obviously theirs outliers but in the end we come together to form fireteams and bond over our shared experiences.
I love you my fellow hunter, titan and warlock guys and gals.
I've got a bit of an offhand idea for you guys, it's not necessarily a video game or show, buuut, could I recommend that you watch Sabatons Unkillable Soldier Music Video and watch their History episode about it? It's roughly a 30m experience altogether and it's about what is arguably the IRL version of an FPS protagonist.
In Destiny 1, people used to basically host dance parties. It wasn't uncommon to load into the Tower and find a bunch of Guardians dancing around or memeing with some kind of emote.
I have a real love/hate relationship with these trailers. On the one hand, they're pretty fun and they definitely do the job of getting new people interested in the game. On the other hand, they really don't represent the tone of the games story, and they're what caused my favorite composer ever to be fired from Bungie, just for criticizing them (Activision and the trailers). Saying "Hey wait I spent two years of my life crafting my magnum opus of a soundtrack, we even got PAUL MCCARTNEY, and you're using Led Zeppelin? Activision overstepped their boundaries in taking over our creative license with the trailer and that's wack" was enough to get the best composer in gaming fired, AND he still had to finish work on the game, AND they tried to force him to forfeit his stocks in the company.

Destiny was by no means a ground breaking game.
But God was it fun to play, solo and especiallywith friends, was always annoying they only allowed parties of 3 and not the standard 4, sure very repetitive, but it was just nice.
Such good times with the 1st game, I hope the community finally gets the game working at full capacity on RPCS3 with their own servers, I need to experience that nostalgic first time play again.

Iconic line aside, that entire trailer is a perfect excuse to try and push for a Destiny television show. It’s got everything you could ever want. Gun, action, great music, lawn gnome blowing up, Cayde-6. It’s a great way to expand series lore too
The game is so good too. You come away with memories of triumph like:
"I was there when the Vault of Glass opened. I delved into the Dark of the moon and slew a god. I hunted the House of Wolves across the stars. Fought the Taken King. And rose as the Young Wolf to light the fires of the Iron Lords."

So if i remember correctly nothing was confirmed but with Sony's acquisition of Bungie, which gave them access to a bunch of movie stuff, and Bungie was talking to some movie Execs I believe, so we are pretty sure we will get a Destiny movie eventually but nothing was confirmed
It's funny how you made the Marvel comparison. The original game released the same year as Guardians of the galaxy, which was the first Marvel movie to use the music in that way. It's funny how they both ended up having such similar style and humor. :P
Bungie has been acquired by Sony and we know Bungie has a multimedia division and in return for teaching Sony how to run a live service game, Sony is going to assist in their multimedia division as well as the game i believe. Its very possible we see Destiny movies, shows, etc.
Personally i want an animated series, super stylized and vibrant because this game and its world have some insane visuals that im afraid without a blockbuster budget would not look good live action. Id love to see some old lore stories animated. The story of Last Word and Thorn, the Book of Sorrows, the Iron Lords, itd be such a good way to introduce people into the world and give them background on the game.
You will never believe how much I miss the Zeppelin live-action trailers. I'm sure they'll never do live-action stuff like this again just due to budget concerns on the developers end, which I get, but I lament all the same.
I played games my entire life, and Destiny have by far the best live action trailers. All of those costumes are real in game equipments. That dancing one? Is amazing, because you have some of those dance as emotes too! Destiny is so beautiful and smooth, what a game.
edit: 10:11 as you can see in the dancing trailer, most of those dance moves are actual emotes that you can use in game. The clothes and armor as well. Destiny is THE game with the best trailers I know about.

It's really cool. A Destiny fireteam, and really Guardians in general, personify the saying: a small dedicated group can accomplish anything.

Destiny is such a accurate depiction of what humans would do if we gained immortality and super powers
We wouldn't be noble defenders we would be shitposting dumbasses who jump of sky scrapers for the kick of it and use their powers to make things like popcorn buckets and tables just so they can flip them
all the stupid shit players do like jumping off the tower using emotes and having huge dance party's in the tower and out in the field is Canon because it happens so often the devs decided that thats just what the guardians are like in general

Also a fun fact the tower that being the main headquarters for guardians has a area below it in the lore that civilians cant go into as they could be hit by a falling guardian that jumped off the tower
If you're going to watch My name is Byf's big lore video, I suggest waiting until you've watched Forsaken and its seasons, since that's where the big video ends

really wish bungie handled destiny 2 better, you guys wont have a damn clue whats going on and characters from destiny 1 will just straight up be gone and never talked about because all the content that explains it, is gone. could still watch all cutscenes but wont be able to play it yourselves :/ this is coming from someone with thousands of hours in the game
Not just the dancing but the enemies of the Guardians are equally baffled why they waste precious time and resources performing recreational stunts on vehicles.
Thanks to you now I wanna download this game again even if I don't what is the point where to take the story from. When I found out this game at ps3 age I just got in love with it and when I saw its old traillers again I felt nostagic I pick my decistion Thank you and keet it up, you're doing a great job and this a proof of that.
Ngl I kinda forgot that D1 and D2 are separate games and it didn't make sense that they would be separated in schedules lol. So when I saw that TTK was two months ago with nothing new added since I thought you dropped it and I was so sad.
Funny enough the dance battle is canon in destiny 2 lore the cabal were really confused about a bunch of guardians dancing in the destroyed cabal outpost guardians are known as the most powerful and known for doing the dumbest shit XD
hunter main here, the chaos is purely cannon, the hunters being infectious masters of chaos, the titans, lumps of lead with a head for defence and the warlocks, hunters, but as bookworms
If you ever play d2 lmk I have been playing this game since d1 and have tons of expirence to help guide unfortunately the new player experience is awful and you need an experienced player to enjoy the game

If they're going to do a live action Destiny show, I can probably see them doing it during the "Dark age", back then there wasn't the "Last City".
On Earth Humanity and their society was in Ruin, Evil opertunistic Human Warlords began taking advantage of the week and Fallen/Eliskni had just Arrived at the worst time inflict destruction and suffering for Vengeance.
I could imagine a kind of show like the new Tales of the Jedi they made for Star Wars where they have a few episodes dedicated to certain stories in the universe. Seeing Zavala, Ikora, and Cayde's rise as the Vanguards and their work as a fireteam would work great just as a starting point. They could also delve into the stories of characters like Oryx and Eramis and seeing what molded them into the villains we see in game. So much potential for expanded content it's overwhelming.

Bungie’s making a lot of partnerships with some media giants to try to make some live action stuff. Here’s hoping!
Source on that? Because last I checked they just promise none game media in general, not that it be live action.
And honestly I'm doubtful it's gonna be live action, both based of some of there hires done by Bungie after the media announcement and the fact the Halo show was panned to heck and back, while animated shows based on game IP had overall done very well.
