looks like a lot of this is to bring drama to an otherwise boring sport and when teams get into shoving matches for the camera it gets the public interested and people will watch this otherwise boring sport the next race to see what will happen next week, and the week after that and the announcers egg it on too, car racing soap opera. just like all sports, the champions are decided before the season starts
