    Knight Rider is an American entertainment franchise created by Glen A. Larson. The core of Knight Rider is its three television series: the original Knight Rider (1982-1986) and sequel series Team Knight Rider (1997-1998) and Knight Rider (2008-2009). The franchise also includes three television films, a short-lived spinoff series, computer and video games, and novels, as well as KnightCon, a Knight Rider convention. Beginning with the original television series and continuing with the subsequent films and series, the franchise has developed a cult following and spawned many pop culture references.
    The original Knight Rider series followed the adventures of Michael Knight, a modern-day crime fighter who uses a technologically advanced, artificially intelligent automobile. This car, named KITT, is virtually indestructible, due to a high-tech coating applied to it. Knight Rider stories usually depict either average citizens, or ethical heads of corporations, being bullied into subservience to an overbearing or ruthless criminal organization. The protagonist(s) of each particular series is instructed by the Foundation for Law and Government (FLAG) to assist in some manner. The protagonist(s) has the assistance of a high-tech, self-aware, and nearly indestructible vehicle.
    The series debuted in 1982 and ran for four seasons on NBC. These adventures were continued with the television films Knight Rider 2000 and Knight Rider 2010 and the short-lived Team Knight Rider. One other television movie, Knight Rider, served as a pilot for the 2008 television series Knight Rider. In 1985, a spin-off series, Code of Vengeance, also premiered.
    The car used as KITT in the series was a customized 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, that cost US$100,000 to build[3] (equivalent to $316,000 in 2023). The nose and dashboard of the car were designed by design consultant Michael Scheffe.[4]
    Stuntman Jack Gill says KITT's ride height was dropped 1.5 inches (4 cm) from a stock Trans Am. The hero car was the only vehicle that contained the intricate dashboard. Spare cars were always on hand, and Universal eventually did all of the modifications that were needed. A mock up dashboard was used on a sound stage for closeups of the voice box or other buttons.
    Knight Rider is an American action crime drama television series created and produced by Glen A. Larson. The series was originally broadcast on NBC from September 26, 1982, to April 4, 1986. The show stars David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight, a sleek and modern crime fighter assisted by KITT, an advanced, artificially intelligent, self-aware, and nearly indestructible car. This was the last series Larson devised at Universal Television before he moved to 20th Century Fox Television.

    Very nice work. That is a very nice kit. They did a great job molding the body. No seam lines or swirls in the plastic. Thanks for sharing.

    I like the lights and sound effects in this kit, and it'd be great to put it next to the big scale one when that is finished.

    A very nice build. Your detail work is impressive. But I must say the light bar and sound steal the show.
    The "whoo - whoo. whoo - whoo. whoo - whoo" sound is spot on, even in Japaneese.
    Thanks for sharing, Chris."Scale Rail Ray" saying see ya next time.

    I don't know if you have seen it (sure you have) AOSHIMA is releasing a new Back To The Future Time Machine and first time stock DeLorean both will have the ability to have the doors open and with the Time Machine they corrected a lot of the missing details that the original models had. I have just seen them show off the Pt 1 car not sure if they have plans for Pt 2 or the 2 versions for Pt. 3.

      Round 2 does have a KITT kit. It’s not as accurate as this. It uses an existing Firebird kit with a few unique to Knight Rider parts.

    "We're not supposed to know it's a firebird"
    According to Knight Rider Historians, They mention 'trans-am' in the pilot, but only a 'black t-top' for the rest of the show.

    • @IamGalvatron
      @IamGalvatron 8 дней назад

      I think it’s because they bought the train crash load of trans-ams and Camaros they really didn’t need much from GM. Only agreement with GM was, sadly, all vehicles be destroyed at the end of production.
