My uncle Tom RIP who lived in Clare close to the Galway border used to sing this beautiful song back in the 60's. Now I am a long way from Clare, this song has stayed with me and to hear this brilliant singer Daoiri Farell sing it is a joy to my soul.
Daoiri and dick gaughan are my heroes on songs. This music clears my mind in humility and makes me more believe in humanity. for peace and harmony joy and love and humanity kindness and compassion and understanding for every living beings.

Interesting version. I like the way he sings a more usual way at the start. The uncle of a friend of mine was the first to write the song down - he got it from an old lady in Co.Derry.

This is a traditional song, not written by Daoiri or Donal. Maybe correct the blurb at the top. But this is such a beautiful and innovative interpretation it almost feels like a different song. Pure class.
