I wish I had the money to get this for my son. The bike with tuffs looks amazing. He has a Haro Lucario and it is pretty cool, but there are hills around here that have to be walked because they are too steep.
I’m definitely on the same page when Jeff was talking about other e-bikes out there. My DIY is just too heavy now. Can’t wait to see it in the London store…🎉
Right…. I looked into converting my commuter bike into an e-bike … a bafang motor conversion kit was $500 for everything. It was a really good kit too. They probably priced it so high because the market is probably so small for this. Probably it going to sell a low volume high margin.
It’s under 3K now, I’m looking to get one, riding a 1st gen. Zooz 1100. Great bike, kinda heavy, but the project BMX is about 19 lbs lighter. Could use the lighter weight to get up stairs easier.
I like this, I do worry that it's a bit under powered at 500watts. Would you consider doing a video on its capabilites? If you make one that goes 30mph and can do 35% inclines, take my money!
It’s a gorgeous bike, direct competitor to Zooz and Chimera (both have 35mph options) but anything under 750w concerns me, the magic number is “35” 35 mph and 35 mile range!!!
I wonder how big the target market for a $4,200 (AUD) BMX? Then again, years ago, I would have wondered who would spend thousands on an electric skateboard, and I have, 3 times, now..... so I guess we will see! I hope it goes well for you, Evolve!
Wow I love my evolve boards and they make a quality product and this looks cool as hell but 4200$? I picked up a juiced rip racer for 1200 and I love it,does not look as clean as this ,it’s kind of a fat tire /bmx look but it’s got hella range and speed and power
That's really cool, less bulky and still is rideable like a normal bike... the swappable battery is awesome 👌, I hope that swappable battery tech may be down the line with the e boards too *wink*
I think you missed an opportunity to be a little more efficient by not incorporating regenerative braking. You have it on your e boards so why not here in addition to the mechanical brakes. A similar thumb lever on the left bar could activate them and you could add levels of regen braking to the display similar to the battery level. Still like the design and ride my 90’s Schwinn XS with my kids so wouldn’t mind a little more room to stretch.
Exactly what I was thinking, I'm guessing they may have bought out EINS/ bought the patent for it? EINS, as far as I'm aware, is no longer a thing anymore which is a shame because I thought this style of ebike was a great concept so I'm glad someone picked it back up!

when it was announced i didn't think much but now im starting to come around. those cable driven brakes look cheap and hopeless though. they need to be replaced with fully hydraulic ones
4000 $ thats us money im from Canada that would be like 5000 i hope that is a fib iwas going to buy butvif its any close to 4000 mark im seen on comments forget about 2000 or less for sure i was so excited till i saw the price on comments cross my fingers thats not the price come on evolve !!! Dont let me down
I'm a long-time Evolve customer, and huge cheerleader for the brand. Since 2016 I've bought 7 boards, including Hadean Assault, which I absolutely love. Like Jeff I rode BMX as a kid and have fond memories of the mongoose style wheels and this frame shape. And I understand why you went with the design choices you made, to keep it as low-key as possible. But I'd be lying if I didn't tell you I'm extremely disappointed in the choice of a Bafang drivetrain and battery. 750w? Really? When we have performance boards making 6000w? Strange how this spec is never mentioned in the advertising. The thing is, I've been building high performance e-bikes since 2015. I have LOTS of experience with Bafang products, and the company. 7 years ago, Bafang with their BBSHD was a cool option. I was one of the first to modify it with a metal gear, aftermarket controller, and high power 72v pack, making a very fun 3300w bike. Bafang, however, were never a friend to the high performance e-bike community. This came to complete fruition last year, when the company released a new version of the motor which is intentionally crippled to prevent modding and improvements to performance. Aftermarket controllers can't be used, and even worse the motor must be used with the company's anemic 48v battery using Chinese cells. Many in the performance e-bike community, including me, were extremely upset and disappointed by Bafang's actions, effectively a huge middle finger to the fast e-bike community that gave them so many sales and so much exposure. I vowed never to support this company again. CYC Motor has emerged as the leader in the performance e-bike community with the X1 Pro and Photon. And, unlike Bafang, they actively support the enthusiast community. I know you were trying to go for a 'hidden' look with a small motor integrated into the frame. I highly recommend that in the future you stop supporting Bafang, and work with CYC to develop a motor that can meet your design goals. Be honest, we both know 500/750w is a very disappointing power spec. The difference in fun level and rider experience between an underpowered drivetrain like this, and a powerful drivetrain, is huge. Again, not trying to diss you. I'm a huge Evolve fan and one of your biggest customers. Just giving you my honest feedback based on many years of experience in this field.
This has already been done by a company called Chimera and for the same price with what looks to be better parts then what your product offers. You guys might want to think about lowering that. Ebike companies kill be with the outrageous prices for a basic bike with a motor on it.
i know I know, late to the party, loving your P!roject BMX! but why did you opt for mechanical disc brakes? Hydraulics simply are soo much better, powerful, reliable, less maintenance intensive and less prone to random changes in their feel due to elongating cables

Are you getting one tho Fred? You driving the mx4 lately btw?
Check out ZOOZ Bikes, they rule!
Stack the tube with batteries is where my mind went at first. Sick design, well done. I've been waiting for less bulky builds.
Finally a cool looking E bike!

Perfect for illegal immigrants.
Interesting looks like fun.
This is amazing what a great idea love it 🎉 😃
Can't believe you guys are charging $4349 for something that probably costs you less than a grand to make.

Need to drop Bafang. And go with a CYC powerplant.

I hope you just did not just pull a boosted. 4 grand? Your crazy.
I looked on the evolve site they are actually 2700 but seem like too small a motor 500w and small battery
@@robbelle3707 $2,700 **USD**. Hence I wrote **AUD**. We're not all Americans ;)
yeah I couldn't help but think of boosted with this one... that's a very expensive item that feels very....niche?@@RicoWorldPeace

Can you do some steep hill climb video's like the one's you did for your skateboards?
Yep I need this 🦾! Good work team
That saddle looks like something on my grans bike.
Looks damn cool!
excuse me??? how much???
I never have been excited about an e-bike... I am now. 😮
How much are extra battery packs to buy?
I can vouch for Maxxis Grifter tyres. Would highly recommend looking into these on a bmx like this.
Where do I get one..

What that video made me realize is that you need to live in Australia by the sea to fully enjoy that wonderful bike 🥲
Want one..
How much the extra batteries gonna cost?
Hold up on the video u mentioned 750w mid drive motor BUT on your website it's a 500q mid drive motor
This is the EINS Mid-Drive BMX E-Bike, rebranded.
5k is toughh
Does anyone know how this will compare to my zooz 750?
The battery should be in the triangle under the seat or in the frame to be perfect.
Any idea of UK pricing?
Link in description with all details!
Cheers! Done over 2000 trouble free miles on my carbon GTR so really tempted with this one. Stay awesome guys 🤙🏻

Cool comments but they don't care, at 4k plus it's obvious they are in dreamland
I too have multiple boards
mudguards when...?
You will be able to fit a lot of aftermarket accessories, including mud guards.
Throttle enabled e-bikes are also a problem in the uk from a legislation perspective.
There will be a compliment version with speed limits and a lower power version if you want, or the throttle can be removed from the main model.
I've never been interested in bikes but this was pretty cool and made me think about buying one. That $4200 price tag is just too much though

Didn’t Boosted boards try and get into bikes before they went bust?
Evolve skateboards follow the logic of, fast and ability to go bonkers. 500W motor on a BMX sounds like an assist.
