@@IvanBaturaChannel nah,i've been researching Italy Tier V recently so it means that i'm currently using both the M109G and the 2S1, both of them with mainly their HE-VT shells and i didn't notice any differences between those and the normal HE shells

since you said the ratel 90 wasn't bad, you should play the objectively awful ratel version; the ratel 20. it has the same bad mobility as the 90, but with the same weapons as the marder IFV, which doesn't sound bad at first, until you realise you're expected to fight king tigers and jumbo pershings with 7 slow moving ATGMs and an autocannon that can't even pen a panther's side (day 22)
I gave it a try because ATGM at 6.7 sounds pretty good. One game in, I center mass a M26 to the hull frontally and only killing the driver. He returned fire, killed me and that was enough of the Ratel 20. Never touched it since 😂
Unironically until recently I hadn't even touched the 90 until recently, had only used the 20. Frequently up br'd it to 8.0 with my 8.0 lineup. Good vehicle for what it is, same with the 90.

Day 49 of telling spookston to play the IT1. its a ATGM launcher on the t62 chassis, it has decent-ish mobility, the turret is squished. You can hide behind cover and shoot ATGM over the cover like a gremlin and you overpressure tanks (tho it can be rare, but it does happen without you realizing) and its MG is really werid. Also it has a cool reload animation.
A neat thing , the PLZ05 has Hydropneumatic suspension, although it can only really lean forwards and backwards. It does however allow you gain more gun depression or elevation!
It's fun until the HESH shell does nothing, supposed 75mm of pen, and a lotta of HE filler. It can do fine in uptiers don't get me wrong, but the HESH shell has never worked right for me. American tanks, and any SPAA can shred you, not to mention CAS. Overall, it's goofy when you hit and Over/Pen.

@ideadlift20kg83 nope. let's see: M109/G/Rochev: both 684 m/s 2S1: regular HE has 690 m/s, while proxy has 686, so it's slower by a whopping 4 m/s! 2S3M: both 655 m/s G6: both are 897 m/s Type 99: both are 940 m/s (tho the regular has a bit more pen but here it is not that big of a deal unlike with the Type 75) PLZ83: both are 655 m/s PLZ05: both are 933 m/s Bkan: same 850 m/s M109 (Is): both are 562 m/s Sholef: same 897 m/s, and proxy has even more pen. the only ones with significant difference: Type 75: regular HE is 720 m/s, while proxy is 580. however the regular fast HE is actually has less pen, which is an issue. AuF1: regular is 810 m/s, proxy is 580. same issue as with the Type 75 that the regular HE has kinds bad pen Vidar: 930m/s on regular, 580 on proxy. this one does not suffer from less pen regular HE. so there are only 3 where the regula HE is faster, and 2 out of those 3 has a worse penning regular HE that can be an issue.

Proximity HE shells have an option to toggle of now. (Not sure if it is for all since I only have M109A1 and G6) Controls-->Ground Vehicles-->Switch Fuze Mode Now you can make it explode on Impact. As far as I am aware, as long as you switch it, Impact Fuze all Proxy is now regular HE. Then you switch back, and it will tell you it is now using either Remote Fuze for Timed Fuze (Flak Bus) And Radio Fuze for Porxy such as M109A1

@notafrog2040 The scale itself is accurate, but you start to lose some perspective of it because the equipment you're using is so big. The Locust is a tiny tank, for example, but it's still the size of a family car. I've had the opportunity to sit in a Stuart, and they're way bigger than you realize in game because you're comparing them to tanks that are even bigger than that. And so you eventually lose some of that sense of scale because, with a few exceptions, you don't normally spend time looking at them with a person for scale.
A trick with powdered drink mixes is to mix it with warm/hot water. It will dissolve a lot better. Then just cool after it's completely mixed with ice or a fridge before drinking it

I thought the VIDAR was bad, but the PLZ-05 is *totally* busted haha. Mainly because it seems to be pretty survivable. You can’t really MG it like most of the SPHs.
The VIDAR also is extremely survivable because its armour is solid steel (i don't remember if it's RHA or CHA). Meaning that autocannons simply fail to pen or do sustainable damage and that APHE shells will probably nuke the entire turret compartment
Hey Spookston, you can now toggle the fuze between impact and airburst on any high caliber airbursting rounds now. This means you can just take the VT round on stuff like this and instead of having to fire and reload to get your VT you can just switch the airburst fuze on and off to use it on ground targets vs air. Keybind isn't automatically set I don't think, but yeh it's quite helpful for the artillery vehicles. The PLZ05 also has adjustable suspension on the first and last roadwheel so you can get a bit more depression/elevation
To mention: The spall liner completely ignores APHE sheells...they just don't detonate. It's not even a fuze problem. They are also horrible against everything else, especially HEAT and Sabot.

I don't know if you know this spookston, but the PLZ gets hydraulic suspension that was added in the last update as well as its brother, the PGZ09. Makes the vehicle much more usable on hilly terrain.
Wanna know what also over pressures? The M551 in America. Big gun and can go pretty fast. (For getting ranges scout and wait for them so say the range from somewhere far away I found useful but do what works for you)

my old lorraine 155 mle is one of my favorite vehicles too, just so much fun to donk on stuff as well one cool feature is they don't generate alot of smoke or tracer, so if you can reverse quickly (like lorraine can) you can get back into cover and enemy doens't have a clue where you just shot from.

Day 155 You should play a tank with hydropneumatic suspension (recommend the MBT-70) But the catch is you have to drop the suspension as low as it can go for the whole match.
Btw spook, the proxy rounds have a new feature that lets you turn the proxy on/off. It makes it nice to not have to switch ammo and carry another type of ammo
Spookson, there is no longer any need to bring a separate HE-VT to deal with planes. Since this last update Gaijin has added a custom command for you to switch the HE-VT fuse between proximity and impact, so you could just bring the HE-VT and switch the detonation mode without having to fire the current projectile in order to load a new one.
3:28 you can, in fact carry full proxy instead of normal HE, set the fuze on impact, and when you want to become an SPAA just change it back to radio fuze (set the fuze toggle keybind to do so) i do that now with the 2s3m and being able to carry 13 rounds of proxy that i can actually use to fight tanks as well as planes feels so nice
The part where you hit the side of that Pershing’s turret and didn’t kill it, while as hitting the kills them immediately. The reason for that will more then likely be because when hitting the front of the tank’s turret the explosion goes in all directions and with having the driver in the hull, the explosion would push down and kill any crew under the mantlet, while as hitting the side there’s nothing there to overpressure so the shell just explodes with no effect
since you like m4s really much, you should play the french amx m4. its a really powerful medium tank without any drawbacks, really. in the french tech tree.

You can use HE-VT as a HE if you change the fuze (options) then you basicly can take 15 HE-VT Projectiles and you can use them as both

I've seen many PLZ-05 players but I've been playing a lot of Brit with the Fox, Falcon and Za-35 spam which is their biggest counter 😂
If you angle the turret enough it also becomes impenetrable to low pen auto cannons like the one on the wiesel
Hey Spookston, you can now toggle the fuze between impact and airburst on any high caliber airbursting rounds now. This means you can just take the VT round on stuff like this and instead of having to fire and reload to get your VT you can just switch the airburst fuze on and off to use it on ground targets vs air. Keybind isn't automatically set I don't think, but yeh it's quite helpful for the artillery vehicles. The PLZ05 also has adjustable suspension on the first and last roadwheel so you can get a bit more depression/elevation

To mention: The spall liner completely ignores APHE sheells...they just don't detonate. It's not even a fuze problem. They are also horrible against everything else, especially HEAT and Sabot.

I don't know if you know this spookston, but the PLZ gets hydraulic suspension that was added in the last update as well as its brother, the PGZ09. Makes the vehicle much more usable on hilly terrain.

my old lorraine 155 mle is one of my favorite vehicles too, just so much fun to donk on stuff as well one cool feature is they don't generate alot of smoke or tracer, so if you can reverse quickly (like lorraine can) you can get back into cover and enemy doens't have a clue where you just shot from.

Btw spook, the proxy rounds have a new feature that lets you turn the proxy on/off. It makes it nice to not have to switch ammo and carry another type of ammo
Spookson, there is no longer any need to bring a separate HE-VT to deal with planes. Since this last update Gaijin has added a custom command for you to switch the HE-VT fuse between proximity and impact, so you could just bring the HE-VT and switch the detonation mode without having to fire the current projectile in order to load a new one.

3:28 you can, in fact carry full proxy instead of normal HE, set the fuze on impact, and when you want to become an SPAA just change it back to radio fuze (set the fuze toggle keybind to do so) i do that now with the 2s3m and being able to carry 13 rounds of proxy that i can actually use to fight tanks as well as planes feels so nice
You can use proxy shells as your main since you can change fuze type on them pretty much immediately

The part where you hit the side of that Pershing’s turret and didn’t kill it, while as hitting the kills them immediately. The reason for that will more then likely be because when hitting the front of the tank’s turret the explosion goes in all directions and with having the driver in the hull, the explosion would push down and kill any crew under the mantlet, while as hitting the side there’s nothing there to overpressure so the shell just explodes with no effect

Spookston allergic to using his commander HMG to fight planes.
Spook there is a control option now for turning VT fuse into Impact so you dont have to take multiple types of HE anymore.
