  • I wanted to thank everyone for their input when I inquired about the EVH signature MIJ AS Promised here is a review This is a quick overview and a little playign example i am
On the road staying with family so I could not really “jam out” on it on distortion. Bottom line the guitar is awesome and for 2k less than the US version,,, well do the numbers
Apologies for the quality and “looseness” of this vid. As soon as I get home I will do the proper review this instrument deserves . Thanks to my cuz Jim Fiore Angelo I will do a proper vid soon. Considering all the help I got I wanted to post something besides that pic the other week.

Awesome! Thank you! I have since leveled
Out 2 frets just so I could get the gtr exactly how I wanted it. I have been using it a lot lately and never sold
It. I love Eddie's piano stuff on gtr :)

I used to have a Peavey USA Wolfgang Special and it was cool. I played a friend's Washburn Nuno N4 and I liked mine better...mostly the feel of the neck. However, sometimes I found playing up high difficult due to the way the neck is placed in the body. I sold it because the truss rod was shot and it was having some issues. I now have a Schecter DJ Ashba signature that is just mint. It's a super strat basically - bolt on maple neck with ebony board, 22 frets, alder body, dive-only Floyd, killswitch, Sustainiac in the neck and EMG 81 in the bridge. I had it upgraded with FU-Tone D-Tuna, brass block, etc. I find it more comfortable to play. Interestingly, DJ Ashba used to play custom EBMM Axis guitars, so he carried over some things to his signature model like non-recessed dive-only Floyd, and straight string pull to the tuning pegs (2 over 4 headstock). However, I still want to have a Wolfgang in my very modest collection. I feel like Ed knew what he was doing design-wise, but before I bought the Schecter, I tried a Kramer 84 and a Wolfgang Special Stealth. The Kramer had a string spacing issue that couldn't be fixed and that banana headstock drove me bananas when restringing. The Wolf Special was cool to look at and the neck felt good, but it was getting used to the body and where the neck is IN the body...like it's a shorter/smaller guitar when it's not. I also don't like having the pickup selector on the upper horn...it just gets in the way. So wondering what your thoughts are concerning this. Do you find it more comfortable to play vs your Frankie? Do you notice anything like this? Just needs getting used to? I just find the super strat more comfortable to play and wonder why Ed seemed to deviate so far from the design and claimed it to be the most comfortable guitar to play.

I have the US version and love it but now have the MIJ Signature Stealth on order. Initial reports were that they had the import pickups but from the description it has the A3 magnets in the neck so either they put A3s in some of the imports or they used the US signature pickups - only the Signature models have the A3 magnets as that was one of the last things Eddie changed. Beautiful guitar! I got mine about a year ago and it immediately became my main! Congratulations and nice review!

Thank you. I don't know what pickups exactly. I'm not as knowledgeable with the EVHs as other guitars. If you do find out please share

@@SonnyAngelucci From what I can find out it looks like it has the US Signature pickups. I'll check once I get one but it will be a few months for SW to get more of them.

My old mij guitars play so much better than my USA models. Sounds crazy but it’s true. And cheaper of course.

I use a lot of Japanese made guitars and the craftsmenship/ QC is usually impeccable. ( I use a lot of ibanez)
