That's a lot for mobile diagnostic work.
I never got into key programming because it has become a clusterfuk. Thousand dollars or more Chinese tools break, what you gone do? Also read that the immo scanners which ain't cheap now require you to be a certified locksmith!
Compressor you probably don't need with cordless tools or maybe just get something like a small compressor to blow stuff off and air tires. Something you can wheel around easy or tote.
Taps and dies and other mechanics tools I never need on the truck.
You could probably get everything you need for mobile diagnostics and quick repairs in a Subaru Outback.
All I carry is a couple of tool bags and scanner. If I crash or something happens like theft, insurance will cover the car or my pickup and I can easily replace everything else.
With all your stuff on that truck you wouldn't want to leave it side the road if you break down. You gone have to sit with the truck until the tow truck gets there.
Idonno trying to do everything especially mobile doesn't make sense. Try the RoadPro 12v hot pot for hot water and coffee or tea. The RoadPro 12v portable stove is good if you need to cook something. I don't eat fast food or buy drinks in convenience stores.
Just from doing side work has mostly been mobile, I now only do diagnostics because a full blown ship mechanic outside the shop is a like a fish out of water 😳
I can see how a heavy duty mechanic has to be mobile because it cost so much to move the equipment, but an auto mechanic needs a shelter or some sort of shop.
Diagnostics or road service is one thing, but a do it all mobile mechanic never made any sense to me. Getting paid is another issue. If someone didn't want to pay you or claim they don't have the money, there's not much you can do about it.
I'm not cheaper than a dealership or shop . If you want cheap take to Walmart, tire shop, or fix it yourself. Lady said Chrysler wanted $800 to install her a new compressor R1234yf. I told her that's a good deal but I'm afraid they are low ballin' you! My estimate was $1400.

@@JacksAutoDiagnostics that’s a lot of good advice and I appreciate it. I thought about all of those things as well, but I am more of an all around mobile mechanic, I don’t just do diagnostics. I have everything that you see on the truck, there because I used to do it out of my pick up truck and there have been so many times where I needed something that I forgot at home or couldn’t fit and it wound up biting me in the ass or making me struggle and costing me a lot of extra time. So now, I got the truck and I don’t ever need anything anymore because it’s all there.
Don’t get me wrong, there are definitely down sides like insurance costs and vehicle restrictions on certain roads, and towing issues like you mentioned. Getting the truck just made it things a lot more convenient for me, (obviously as long as everything is going smoothly and working properly).
The compressor is good for a needle scaler for all the rust we deal with here in the northeast, blow gun (as you mentioned), my pneumatic coolant leak tester, and my impact gun when the cordless doesn’t have enough ass, I also use it for my fluid extractor which works great. I always liked having everything and not needing it vs. needing something and not having it. I appreciate you watching and also the time it took you to comment. Thanks so much. 👍🏻
