    Thank you so much for putting all of that together. I just bought a boat with a Bravo 3 and I'm just seeing what I may be up against for future maintenance. You're a good thorough teacher. I appreciate your effort to teach while you repair. Some guys know how to repair but they don't know how to teach. You can do both very well so thank you.

    Eddie, Great videos. You did say something like you heard propellers do not need to be lined up, but, you line up the part numbers. You were honest in your representation and I would have done the same on my boat. I spoke to a propeller repair shop today and he says the two propellers on a Bravo III spin at different RPMs and you do not need to line them up.

Also another guy I watched used different size wrenches (except for the second prop, that was the same) - he used 13MM for anod and 37mm for first prop - I would think bravo III would all be the same idk ?

    Hi Eddie. I have a question, since I am not a mechanic by trade but I like to do basic maintenance on my boat ( i will get a new one in a few months) and I wonder if the special double-size wrench at each end would be a good option. rather than the 2 deep sockets you use to remove the propellers? • @jimbosammy4255

      yes. merc says it dont matter. at a given point they line up anyway.

    • @nordemoniac
      @nordemoniac 4 года назад

      Jimbo sammy Actually I figured it out. When mounting them back on, the rear propeller should have one blade that points up (12 o clock) and the outer propeller should have one blade that points down (6 o clock).
      That way they are properly synced, making sure that they will never both be pointing up, ever. It’s to avoid cavitation on the props.
      Mercruiser reference 72221
      rinkerboats.vanillacommunities.com/discussion/861/prop-timing-torques-specs
      So do not match up the way they were put on before, it isn’t necessarily correct.

      no rubber hubs on bravos. cant spin but may shear splines though unlikely.
      if you have slippage it could be engine coupler. would smell burnt rubber likely.
      or sheared splines in coupler and that would be audible.
