They are good and definitely very retro. 🎸👍 A Marshall amp (JTM 45) run clean with decent reverb will get close to those surf tones, Vox amps are good for surf too, but vintage Fender gear really is the ultimate stuff imo. I noticed that their Fender amps are mic-ed up so their PA should help a lot. Yeah, it's not the best studio recording quality.
