Don't care what anyone says about Savage ,budget-friendly or not they're some of the most accurate at harvesting food. All I've ever been able to afford is an Axis but it hits dead center every time.
I think it’s great to be able to hear about this rifle from a knowledgeable factory rep. Not in my price range or something I would use but fascinating. Thanks 😊
Really it’s about time. Everyone making a fancy bolt action? Savage makes some excellent bolt rifles for bargain price. And they’ve been at it for a long time
GREAT customer representative. He's not a salesman, he's a "user" and you can tell that he really likes this rifle and is speaking from experience with this rifle. Savage is such an under appreciated product. Their rifles are extremely accurate, they usually have very good triggers that can be adjusted by any shooter and they are usually priced really well, especially for the product you are getting. It seems like all Savage has to do is raise their prices across the board and many of the "gun snobs" would now want Savage products, at triple their pricing. The firearms industry is very strange when it comes to certain firearms and how they're priced. A lot of people will pay thousands of dollars for a firearm that most people agree is not a great firearm. Many of those same people won't buy a Savage firearm that is highly regarded by experienced shooters, because of the low pricing and the name Savage. This is one of the higher priced Savage products but imagine what this same rifle would cost if it were made by another manufacturer, it would probably be thousands more.
That presenter was so knowledgeable and level-headed and it can tell he really liked the product. They should give him a small percentage of sales!! Or at least a decent commission.
I was a scout sniper in Iraq & I have owned countless rifles. Years ago I had a Savage 110 7mm Rem Magnum that was an excellent accurate rifle all the way out to 1000 yards. With some quality glass and the proper training, anyone can become very efficient with this rifle for quite a lower price range. This version sure looks really nice with so many new options on the stock.
That's already a thing. Savage Axis Precision is under $1k. MTDs cheaper chassis and a Howa barrelled action total under $1k, and if you are just looking for adjustments and a flat forend Boyds at One laminate stocks will add that to pretty much any rifle you already own.
Hahahahaha I'm looking at $3000 weatherby cause I don't like any of the 1500-2000 short barrel offerings. Oh that if I don't just go with the $6000 full custom full carbon!
looks pretty slick// also was able to go another whole video without seeing James' tummy..an unexpected treat. seems like it would be a challenge to slip a quick 4pack shot in there during a long gun video but I'm sure they thought about it.
I freakin love it! I'm a little suspect of the magnesium, though.. as far as durability goes.. either way, my birthday is in May. Happy birthday to me!😊💥💥💥
People are thinking that’s expensive. Dude, he said magnesium and carbon fiber, that’s all you need to hear to know you can’t afford it. Like going to shop for Honda civics and test driving a Ferrari.
Holly crap that look like a space rifle I know nothing about bolt actions but that one looks impressive and expensive. If that was made in the us or aus it would be like 10 grand
Yup, pretty much. Does anyone "need" these sorts of guns? Not really, people hunt/plink with all varieties of junk of course. If you can afford it, would it be nice? Hell yea!
The difference between this interview and the Turkish battle rifle interview was insane. This guys the master the other guy must have wandered in of the sidewalk 😂
It's not in my price range but I really love the design of this, and the rich guys are going to really enjoy this tack driver, I know I would. You can tell that they made an effort to give it a very low bore axis and the stock runs in very close alignment with the barrel, which will really help to prevent muzzle rise. I would get the 20 inch PRC version. Some of the poors will be super offended and triggered over the price, that should be amusing. I can't wait to hear all about how their $800 to $1,200 dollar rifle is just as good or better, and you got to be dumb to buy it.
I'm not sure why people crap on Savage. They make good guns and they are relatively affordable. I've own 2 (22LR, 338 Lapua Magum) and I am still kicking myself for selling my 111 300 Win Mag. It went to a good home and I got the rest of the cash for my Shadow 2 but man I miss that thumper.
My question as well. I 'built' a custom 110 nearly 10 years ago in .308 and just put a new 20" Proof bbl on it last fall. It's a bench gun but the 20" 7PRC is very tempting for the field, but not in a RH for me. (Right handed but cross dominant here.)
I love the aesthetics of that Savage 110 rifle chassis, it is sweet. If I were into bolt actions that is something I would definitely get. Woops!! Woo lost me at the price!!! Nope not for me after all!! I will just stick with the trusty ole synthetic/wood stock/chassis
Compare a 18” 308 Rainier match, and a 18” PR carbon fiber, there’s a 5 OUNCE difference. You’re not getting a ton of weight savings on those barrels. And they’re $1100 (for AR pattern barrels)
James should familiarize himself with the metric system by next year's IWA. This is such a classy channel, but constantly bringing up this issue only reinforces negative stereotypes that the rest of the world has about Americans. If T-rex Lucas and Garand Thumb can handle the metric system James should also. Just my opinion and I don't hate America. Thanks for asking
Rep did great.
Cool gun. The 110 tactical was already the budget precision king.
You think that $3200 is a budget rifle!
@@rogerjensen5277 Learn to read. That's not what dtroy15 said.
"I'm a user"
Savage picked the right rep, no one sells a product better then a user.
100%
Unless he can’t help himself and uses up all of the product
💪👏👏
I appreciate knowledgeable reps
Just like the Turkish guy from yesterday's video :)
Don't care what anyone says about Savage ,budget-friendly or not they're some of the most accurate at harvesting food. All I've ever been able to afford is an Axis but it hits dead center every time.
Jens nailed that one.
Savage sales guy did very good on presentation and spoke great English 😊
Used to have an old .22 single shot bolt action Savage, was my best friend as a little kid
Grest rep that knows the product.
Thanks for sharing James 🤠 That's a nice platform!!
I think it’s great to be able to hear about this rifle from a knowledgeable factory rep. Not in my price range or something I would use but fascinating. Thanks 😊

Someone give the rep a bonus, you can tell he’s proud to show it off and very knowledgeable. Savage moving on up
That was seriously refreshing. Rattled off the specs like it was his personal rifle he built.
how much did this actually weigh?
Right?! How did they miss the most important spec for a rifle all about weight?
@@larthallorI looked it up. Says 5.8lbs.
@@larthallorabsolutely right sir! Imagine shooting a 308 or 30.06 out of it. Shoulder bruises
@@KnifeCursed That is really not worth it. Id take a tikka over this.

What caliber would you choose?
Im particular to 308 and 300 Weatherby Magnum (300 Winchester Mag would be my 3rd choice)@@senoJSR
I have a Savage BA 10 stealth and love it.
For sure I will pick one up when I get back home. I have a 110 FCP 338 Lapua, shot very accurate!.
I’m hoping in a few years someone can build a decent quality chassis style rifle for sub $1k.
Not in carbon fiber and yes you can get in the sub $1500 built yourself. Just spot sales in Primary Arms or Optics Planet when clearance kicks in.
That's already a thing. Savage Axis Precision is under $1k. MTDs cheaper chassis and a Howa barrelled action total under $1k, and if you are just looking for adjustments and a flat forend Boyds at One laminate stocks will add that to pretty much any rifle you already own.
Let's not forget about their straight pull bolt action.
Man you can tell how light it is just from them handling it in the video
It’s also got a high end price. I have a standard ultra light in LH and paid $1200 for it.
It has a lot of carbon fiber man, come on! (Sarcasm)
Hahahahaha I'm looking at $3000 weatherby cause I don't like any of the 1500-2000 short barrel offerings.

Not to be rude or nothing. But fuck this cheap garbage.
Got mine in 6.5 prc for 800!
Gucci bolt gun can go to the moon man ppl spend 5k on them then another 3-5k on glass 1200 is almost entry level
Just watched video second time because riffle is awesome and specs are clear)) Thanks.
Love to see this with the straight pull action !
Holy crap! I thought that dude was a cardboard cut out for a moment.
😂Same
Beautiful gun ! Great presentation.
That’s a pretty sweet little package

1. I want
2. That dude is awesome
Yeah homie nailed it, he should make his own chanel👏👏
"The Savage 110 MO-DEL... in collaboration with CHANEL... chambered in 6.5 Grendel..."
Dang, love my 110 stainless steel model. This would great.
three thing i like about any rifle 1) accuracy 2) light weight 3) folding stock. look forward to buy one
Can’t wait to get one! Going to make Montana hunting so nice! Hopefully it will start showing up in 7prc soon
What's the weight? Did they say?

5.8 lbs
Class act, all around!

thats a gorgeous gun... 3200 is expensive but given the ridiculous prices of rifles these days, i sadly didnt even get phased by it.
In the past they used Proof CF barrels. That's going to be around$1000 if you buy one aftermarket so the price isn't as shocking.
Savage makes great bolt action rifles
That Gun Literally Fawks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is sick.
looks really nice.
Weight?
5.8 pounds
I was looking at an old savage ad for a pistol. Had a picture of a woman in a night gown and said even a woman can manage to shoot it lol
Savage is savage
Those were the days .
Cool rifle looking for a new deer rifle
can we have a link to the shirt?
The only thing about the CF encased barrels is that when they DO heat up, there's lots of flyers.
I freakin love it! I'm a little suspect of the magnesium, though.. as far as durability goes.. either way, my birthday is in May. Happy birthday to me!😊💥💥💥

Everything but how much it weighs
This is 🔥🔥🔥
How much do they weigh?
Did he say 3299?
Yes.

I would snatch one but it is not in 300 PRC yet.
Nailed it.

Wow! If it comes with an Impulse action I'm in
Not in the market for one but I like it.
Great base for a sniper rifle
I want one !
“As we say in America, Gucci manufacturers”
“We have Gucci here in Europe.”

Is this rifled or smoothbore? Because I’m afraid a smoothbore wouldn’t be much help past 100 yards or so.
It's a " rifle " .

Covered everything except how much it actually weighs. I have a near identical set up in R700, and it's under 7lb, or a bit over 3kg before optic.
5.8 pounds
Too expensive for me, but platform makes perfect sense for hunting. I suppose a fair investment if one is serious (or wealthy).

I'm not surprised by this at all. The 110 has been very popular in Ukraine, at very least starting with the 110 action.
