Going in for my ACL and Meniscus reconstruction surgery the day after tomorrow. Been out of the Martial Arts and Parkour game for about eight months now after messing my knee up last Summer. My road to recovery's only beginning, and I know it'll be super tough and painful for me to get back to full strength, but seeing videos like this always give me further motivation.

How do you feel right now? Did you do physical therapy right after?

I never understand these videos where they thing it’s just a sprang or something. When I tore my my ACL I KNEW immediately something was very wrong. But I also did have bone bruising, and my meniscus, and MCL got tore at the same time. Was 600+ pounds into a foot plant on my left leg. I could hear the snap clear as day. I couldn’t stand up on the leg at all, was a new 10 for pain I’ve ever experienced. I only had to wait a month and a half for surgery. It would suck to waste 3 months before starting the long recovery process💀

Good stuff. I’m 1 year 2 months out from surgery. I’m also almost 56 but want to return to touch rugby and half court hoops. I’m pretty close. How could I find a reliable independent PT to evaluate me? What would you say big 3-4 tests are? It all comes down to control under pressure.
