What an odd glitch. I’ve found vinted customer support to be quite good as a buyer I’ve sent items back and they’ve always sided with me if a seller is being awkward. Always humans too. They’ve ruined the Royal Mail postage though which is annoying.
I was sent the wrong item and seller had already told me there was a mistake. Send me a label so I sent back. The person who had been sent my item didn’t return it. I didn’t get a refund for item although the wrong it had been received. Only problem I have experienced though
Why not just give seller your address, that would have solved all problems and why didn't you say there was an issue ( even though the item had neither been sent or received ).
Vinted keep the postage fee and send a postage label to the seller, the seller just gets paid for the item (once the buyer receives it) so that would mean the seller being out the money for postage
Vinted is like the Wild West. You just have to assume there is no customer service, just a bunch of demented elves running around throwing stuff out the window. My first experience included Evri CS as well!
6 weeks of to and fro all round the assorted houses, culminating in the seller driving across town to break into her old house, rescue the parcel that Evri had decided to deliver there and reposting it to me!
Same happened to me but it was actually my mistake as a seller i had put the wrong label printed out onto the wrong parcel, so another person's parcel arrived at the wrong address and then i contacted the lady who was recieving it that i still had the item she ordered but i attached her address on the wrong thing. I got her to send me her address via message and i royal mailed it to her. So i took a loss and let her keep both items. If this was the same thing you would of received a random parcel with your name on but the fact you didnt is so weird. I actually took all my items off vinted after that.
Hi Nic & Andrea, I've only had one problem with that, I ended up cancelling the order and then get the buyer (which would of been you) to buy the item again, as the buyer would of been reimburse for the item. It's strange how it (showed up) saying it was delivered when the seller never really dispatched it. I've also had items shipped and never been delivered. And if it's not delivered it won't say it's been delivered. I had one going back 2 months ago, wasn't much, but sent it out the next day, and it still didn't arrive so many weeks later. And vinted wanted the buyer to get in touch with them, and so did I, and we managed to get money back each. The item was classed as lost. So don't know where that went. Just glad it wasn't an expensive item. In a way I like vinted, but could be a few improvements. With vinted also there's new things adding to it all the time. So it's getting better and better. Hope you had a lovely halloween and bon fire night. Leanne & Jon
My parents have never had a problem with vinted as they buy and sell and on vinted all the time. There is nothing wrong with the company it’s some of the people who use the company and don’t understand how the company works. When my parents have had a problem with vinted it has been solved. It sounds like lack of common sense hasn’t been used here and something could have been worked out. The amount of people who have commented on this video and haven’t even used vinted have no right to complain as you are just going by what other people are saying. When I am in the UK I use vinted and I have never ever had a problem.
Could you not put your name and address into a message on the Vinted platform and do it that way? Or would Vinted not let you send a message with all sorts of details in it like that?
If we want better customer services at Vinted that will come as an expense in the form of added seller fees. You get what you pay for - or not as is currently the case.
It really is totally automated throughout but I will say ive been impressed with inpost. Their own app was just automatically integrated with vinted the second I put in my mobile number. Something im curious about for anyone with a pro account, id bought on there but have only sold since pro and ive noticed that I get some of the pro fee. Seems like maybe 15% on top of the sale price. Curious if this specific to pro accounts to allow for my risk or if its the same for a personal account also? Funny enough 2 parcels this morning, 1 lp in a Jiffy bag, some how ok the other a 7" single in bubble wrap inside a washing powder box, extremely well packed but bizarre.
I've sold a lot on Vinted and it can be very infuriating at times with thier dumb selling rules, one of their stupidest rules is - You can't sell adult sporting equipment but can sell sporting equipment for children? If youre a pro seller you cant list lots of new with tags items, you cant sell new with tags un opened cosmetics but you can as a private seller?? They need to get this stuff sorted if theyre to take a bigger slice of the market than ebay.
@@NicHills Honestly you’re better off saving yourself the hassle I’ve just had a waterproof dog crate mat removed for violating their selling rules despite on their website it clearly states that I can sell pet accessories and bedding etc. Im looking into switching over to Amazon over the next few weeks. I hate treading on eggshells with them I make sure what I list is stated as allowed in their rules yet they still ping my listings. When you appeal they don’t want to know. Don’t get me wrong when it works it’s a good platform and nice not to have fees I’ve made a lot on there. But for me now it’s time to move on.
Wow! Definitely a major fault in the Vinted system. This will probably put me off buying through Vinted until they sort this out. Must have happened to perhaps thousands of customers
I just resorted to the capital letters rant as well. I ordered something the 5th October tracking didn’t update after it was posted on 8th had to wait till 8th November according to Vinted then repot there was an issue. I did that then they wanted me to wait another 25 working days. My rant in capitals has worked they are processing a refund.
Maybe seller clicked on 'generate label', but did no more... Only the seller can generate a shipping label. The sale would be auto-cancelled & refunded after about 10 days if no action was taken by seller. Just my experience of refunds from non-active "sellers". I imagine Vinted computer system auto-completed as a 'parcel consignment' was generated. Hope you have since resolved with Vinted customer service!
The mistake was made when you received "your item has been delivered" message.... at this point you should have marked the item as "having a problem" i.e. not delivered. Not sure what would have happened then but once the automatic transaction closed is set, as you found out, the door is shut
I trade the stock market for a living, it makes me laugh when they say on the financial channels about Artificial Intelligence, like it's a brilliant new invention, we are still in the dark ages with so many things
Wouldn't allow me to cancel postage for an item that sold to a lady in my own village stupid bot said I had to post it But it has a met inn person box on feedback 😂😂😂
Vinted appear to be appalling reading these comments BUT..... am I being thick?? As the seller had the item and you had paid for it and the vinted bots were saying it had been sent ( and delivered) why didnt the seller just send it to you . Only issue may have been if if it didn't turn up or was damaged. How ' friendly did you get with the seller ??V
After the item was supposed to have been delivered, didn't you have 2 days to report a problem, if you said it was damaged or something wouldn't you have got a refund.
The other week an item with an open front in the box containing a snuddie, sent as was with a label stuck on no additional packaging whatsoever - apparently I needed to pay to return. Not on, sent them their own packaging policies and protection on damaged items as box was crushed (it was a gift) they ignored me at first then randomly refunded so guess I got my point across eventually 😝 that and items sent in bin bags not secured just makes the service offered by some sellers laughable at times - but you go on the forums and no one cares for packaging you name it they’ll happily send it in literally no care or thought at times. Their returns policy on misdescribed stained and faulty items is non existent if a seller has no morals no matter what the issue the buyer will pay for return . There is no buyer protection they need to rename that to a service fee to use the site. I say all this and have used Vinted from the beginning even when it was safe to ‘swap’ items the more people who’ve joined the poorer the standard has got
@@NicHillstheir is no customer service however with the influx of poor sellers leading to more problems recently, they do need to step it up and instill a INAD policy which doesn’t mean the customer pays for poor items - strongly believe this would mean people would take care over what they list as no one wants to be out of pocket - currently people will sell anything and everything regardless of condition because if someone complains they’ll end up paying to return and sellers know most won’t bother
I think you had a seller problem. Was there tracking? Did you get a message saying the item was delivered? Why didn’t the seller refund you? Sounds a bit scammy to me.
Just this week buyer wanted item sent inPost to home which I offer but it didn’t let her select it, contacted Vinted tbey said we both need to offer it, she said she did we both proved we did. Round in circles for a week she couldn’t buy - solutions were to use a computer/to turn extra shipping options on or that it’s not offered for the item 😝 it’s a child’s pair of trainers - in the end she bought them via ebay shipped RM straight to her door 🚪
@@NicHillsand they don’t even have the decency to be honest and say they don’t have a clue 😝 after I went round in circles they basically told me to stop going on do what they suggest and that’s that 😝 honestly can’t see how me enabling all the shipping options ment that she could choose inPost to home which I had on anyway 😛 so because I don’t offer evri etc she can’t use inPost to home 😝
Shocking! Sounds like the label generated was attached to the wrong customer order. I'm glad I've never sold or bought from vinted, eBay has it's faults but even the worst ebay issues I've had on both sides don't compare! Thats the problem with bots they don't have the ability to adapt to the situation like a human. I've dealt with webchat and had so many times I've seen the bot put a customer through to the wrong team because it doesn't even ask enough questions or the right one. I can see when it's the customers error, as it shows which options they've selected by mistake or thinking they'll get through quicker. Its even worse when it's clear by What's written that their first language is English and they haven't got word definitions mixed up.
Vinted will never compete with ebay until sellers and customer service changes big time. I had some numpty send me a games console wrapped in a plastic tesco bag with absolutely no protection what so ever. And i had to pay to return it. I have received some absolute abominations. Ive received a box with no lid just covered in a bin bag. I couldn't even get it to my car with it falling apart. Ebay is still number one for serious buyers and sellers.
I had a terrible experience with vinted and I'm considering sticking with eBay 😅 maybe I will keep my items with vinted at an inflated price to cover myself in case of issues
I don't understand why she can't ship the item to you does she not know how to put a address on an envelope? because I thought to ship something to someone all you really need is their address? since you already paid for the item and paid for shipping why is there a problem? it's crazy people are so used to automated systems now without them their head goes blank it doesn't make sense and if something doesn't make sense it's most likely someone trying to lie and cheat the system most likely just trying to get away with not shipping it to you because you said she already received the money. I mean the second she received the money she should have sent it to you.
What is it with some people who sell on Vinted and their complete lack of care & attention to protecting the item for shipping... Items sent loose in carrier bags, cereal boxes, Even a used McDonald's bag was sent to me wrapped around a digital camera for Christ's sake! All the above with no other protection ie bubble wrap or similar. Also I don't like the bots on the site... It's either yay or nay. Nothing in-between... Sending you round and round... Bit like Evri customer service... The AI bots 'pass the parcel' game of doom, frustration and utter despair on the customers part!
What a palaver! I have bought off vinted only twice, both times items had faults and I had to be refunded! Never again! Very fishy to not be able to refund yourself, forcing you to buy again! My experience put me off vinted
Yeah I got banned after one day, I had messaged one person about an item thats it and then banned for breaking there "terms" but they refused to give me an exact reason
I despise Vinted. I hate their postage options (I know everybody else seems to love it!) the most. I tried selling a vase. I listed it in the vase category. I listed it as a 'small' parcel. Vinted wanted to charge over £5 postage for this! People kept messaging me asking me to lower the postage and I literally couldn't, I had already selected the lowest postage possible. I tried explaining this to Vinted customer service but just went round and round and round in circles. They just kept telling me to put it under the small postage option. Well, their smallest option for vases is 5kg. I sent Vinted screenshots of this, showing this was their lowest option. I even put the vase on the scales and sent them the photo of that to show them it was nowhere near 5kg and we still went round and round in circles. Useless. I know I could've tricked their system and just listed it under mugs, but I wanted Vinted to actually fix their idiotic postage charges. I sold the vase on eBay in the end, for more.
I'm just wondering how you was able to purchase a item on vinted without putting your banking details in. And how was you able to login into the app without a e-mail, Plus when you have 48 hours to rasie a issue after you receive the item there is a "item not received" option as one of the problem reasons. You lost me when you said this was a brand new account and you didn't put no details in
You’re story is only funny because fortunately it wasn’t a huge amount of money involved but if you had spent £100 it would be extremely frustrating not having a human to sort the issue
Honestly, vinted is so bad that I got a bowl sent in a padded envelope in a million pieces 😂😂. The next week, I got a vase wrapped in an Asda frozen pizza box. It took almost 7 days for vinted to refund me both times. They were demanding photos of packaging before I opened it and the item itself. They didn't think the broken item was the same item as it was broken 😂😂. It's a nightmare. Im almost certain that their customer service is AI.
I had an issue with Vinted. I sent a breakable item and the buyer picked Evri I packed the item and sent it and the item was delivered broken. I contacted evri and they said the problem had to be resolved with Vinted. I contacted Vinted and they said the problem had to be resolved by evri… I refunded the buyer because that was the correct thing to do and because I had refunded Vinted then said the issue was resolved and just cut me off!!! It was only £10 but that’s not the point the buck kept getting passed from evri to Vinted and back again.
Couldn't she just put the item in an envelope and address it herself and send it to you?

I tend are better than eBay by a country mile. EBay are scammers.
Ordered some wine glasses which never arrived as they were smashed in transit and returned to the seller clearly not packed adequately 😮
My wife is seller on vinted, its much bether than ebay after bbe policy
If we want better customer services at Vinted that will come as an expense in the form of added seller fees. You get what you pay for - or not as is currently the case.
I have had simiar issues with chat bots, just keep spamming "AGENT" and eventually you'll get a human, well it has worked for me anyway...
why didn't you just give the seller your address(maybe she already had it) and she would just send the item and all done :)))
Seller does not get the postage fee, vinted keep it and deal with it
Etsy is just as bad these days, it is now impossible to reach a human on a phone 😢
Same problem I had but selling. Couldn’t print a label because it automatically dispatched. I ended up sending Royal Mail instead of evri originally.
Get her to PayPal u the money back then relist the item and buy again
I've sold a lot on Vinted and it can be very infuriating at times with thier dumb selling rules, one of their stupidest rules is - You can't sell adult sporting equipment but can sell sporting equipment for children? If youre a pro seller you cant list lots of new with tags items, you cant sell new with tags un opened cosmetics but you can as a private seller?? They need to get this stuff sorted if theyre to take a bigger slice of the market than ebay.
That just sounds crazy!! I do hope it makes more sense by the time we start selling on there...
Capital letter is the key!!
Always had a good buying experience on vinted .had more problems with eBay .
Wouldn't allow me to cancel postage for an item that sold to a lady in my own village stupid bot said I had to post it
But it has a met inn person box on feedback 😂😂😂
Vinted appear to be appalling reading these comments BUT..... am I being thick?? As the seller had the item and you had paid for it and the vinted bots were saying it had been sent ( and delivered) why didnt the seller just send it to you . Only issue may have been if if it didn't turn up or was damaged. How ' friendly did you get with the seller ??V
Vinted dont pay the postage fee to the seller
After the item was supposed to have been delivered, didn't you have 2 days to report a problem, if you said it was damaged or something wouldn't you have got a refund.
Think I'd stick to eBay
It needs to be the other way round - the more users and revenue the tighter the customer service...
There are so many glitches in their systems at the moment
Vinted is the Wild west. Scammers paradise! You need to dig into the help categories and try and find a way to report any issues to bypass the bots!!
The whole vinted shitshow is run by robots... and pretty crap ai ... banned me before I even got an item listed pffft
Oh dear Heather!!
Yeah I got banned after one day, I had messaged one person about an item thats it and then banned for breaking there "terms" but they refused to give me an exact reason
I know a response from Vinted for me personally has been up 5 to 7 days 🤣
That is so daft!!!
Great story 😅
Glad it turned out okay
Love the British expression “I got cross”. Much more elegant than “I got angry”❤
Glad you enjoyed it
So pathetic . all you had to do was Cancel it and ask the seller to relist it. No comeback
Thanks for the info, i was thinking about using Vinted? but not now.....Karen
Use the money to buy from yourself
I'm just wondering how you was able to purchase a item on vinted without putting your banking details in. And how was you able to login into the app without a e-mail, Plus when you have 48 hours to rasie a issue after you receive the item there is a "item not received" option as one of the problem reasons. You lost me when you said this was a brand new account and you didn't put no details in
You’re story is only funny because fortunately it wasn’t a huge amount of money involved but if you had spent £100 it would be extremely frustrating not having a human to sort the issue
Exactly !!!
You cannot no do anything transaction is in the hands of the gods ???????????????
Honestly, vinted is so bad that I got a bowl sent in a padded envelope in a million pieces 😂😂. The next week, I got a vase wrapped in an Asda frozen pizza box. It took almost 7 days for vinted to refund me both times. They were demanding photos of packaging before I opened it and the item itself. They didn't think the broken item was the same item as it was broken 😂😂. It's a nightmare.
Im almost certain that their customer service is AI.
I don't know what is worse - the packaging or the following customer service!
They could of at least used dominos pizza box.
Vinted are awful!
👍👍
You both chose to deal with an utterly rubbish company and then whinge about rubbish service. Madness.
Next time we will use our crystal ball first and predict the future.....
It really is a joke. I would’ve recommended vinted til 2 weeks ago when my item got smashed despite me packaging it well
I had an issue with Vinted.
The Hills are annoyed! Right, time to get the kettle on, I'm going to settle in and enjoy this properly... 😄👍🫖 📺
