Raghuvendra Singh Dundlod -Bonnie, (Rajasthan, India) and Francesca Kelly (Martha's Vineyard, USA) are in post production of the documentary film, Marwari, War Horse of the Mahārāja. This is the story of Bonnie and Francesca's journey to promulgate and promote the horse in India and abroad. The Marwari horse has faced many challenges including near extinction. In this story you will see two modern day heroes with outstanding passion and dedication do everything in their power to promote and raise awareness of the issues facing the Marwari horse. This film will be released mid 2014. Filmed in 4K by renowned cinematographer Ben Wolf NYC.

Such beautiful beasts..but to see them tethered so and with spiked bits..aargh, very sad indeed. But the 'education' for this needs to ideally come from Indians, not well meaning English people, if the message is to be taken on. [horse mistreatment goes on all over the World] good, smooth bits [no spiked mouthpieces] and good management will add comfort to the horse, and therefore value to the owner.

India never had good horses. Thats why medieval times lost battles against Turks. They mostly imported arabian horses and some horses from central asia.
Indians should have focused on infantary, all battles which were led by infantary were won by Indians, example first battle between Chalukya Solanki and ghazni

sala chutia. horse is not only reason people win battles. in same line you say Indians imported horses from Arabia - if that's the case then and assuming Arabian horses are good ( Friesian horses are better in battle) then India should have won every battle? mongols won a number of battle in spite of the fact that only saving grace of mongol horses was hardiness.
Arabian horses are good from endurance and emotional response point of view. in desert conditions - Arabian horse is awesome. there are a number of better European horse breeds from an overall battle perspective. physical strength of an Arabian is minimal as compared to English or Russian horse breed. on a non desert battlefield Arabian doesn't stand a chance in medieval warfare.
