One of the best guitarists I've ever heard! I think its amazing that he uses metal fingerpicks but you can't tell it at all. Most other fingerstyle players would have never put in the time to learn to use fingerpicks slightly well, which I think is a real testament to how dedicated he is.

Outre sa virtuosité, j'ai eu l'occasion de passer une semaine avec ces gens délicieux, ça restera un des plus souvenir de ma vie, Mathieu
I think talent to this extent surely is down to individual physiology and can't really be learnt no matter how much practice you put in, and that's why it's so inspiring. I know I can never be this good and it doesn't matter, if you enjoy playing and are serious about it you'll get out of it what you put in. I can never understand when people see talent like this and it somehow puts them off, "i'll never be that good". Some fingers are just made to do magic things and you just have to appreciate it for the beauty it is.
I don’t know if anyone has noticed but a section of this is from Bert Jansch’s version of Angie. I had a vinyl ragtime sampler album with a tune by Pete Finger on it and his name just came into my mind again from nowhere and now I’m here. Isn’t YT wonderful?
I have three comments: A friend in Germany who's going to see PF in concert tonight says Finger's his real name - and that he's married to Federic Chopin's great great granddaughter! You need to practice at least five hours a day to get that good. I love people who pursue their element and work hard honing their skill to perfection.
He's german, so the simple fact is PETER FINGER IS THE KRAFTWERK OF THE GUITAR ! He's actually a bit hipper than Kraftwerk, because he's played Birkenhead, which is something they never managed ......................

Discovered this guy on the Anthology Masters book. I was listening in the dark and when I heard this guy play I had to spring up and check out who it was! Very rare I'll say "Crikey who is that!!". Incredible virtuosity, one of the best guitarists I've ever heard and that's saying something!
