I love how she comes out with the rings and the entire gag is that the rings will link to pretty much anything other than each other. I've always found that a good joke circumvents the obvious to land on the unexpected. She designed this bit brilliantly.
She's excellent and I look forward to checking out more of her material. As a Brit, I have to mention Tommy Cooper who was the funniest comedian/magician ever.
Tommy Cooper when he was young got a magic set for his birthday, he was performing it to his boss and fellow colleagues but all the tricks went wrong, while he was sobbing his heart out in the back his boss walked in with tears rolling down his face exclaiming that it was the funniest thing he'd ever seen
Thanks for finding this and sharing it. Really great. I especially like the first stage performance for it's perfect and intentionally slow timing. Excellent transposition of comedic timing to magic trick timing, getting the "punchline" right. Way too rare to find these days. And some nice on point music, and helpers that also add to the comedic part. Much to learn from that.
I saw her in a one woman show in Hollywood around 1983 called " Judy Carter Goddess of Mystery" . Saw Penn and Teller about the same time in another small theater in Hollyeppd.
😂😂👌👌 very good she so good she would’ve been the very first female comedy magician in the 70s. That’s amazing to think sad that she dropped the magic act...
She seems ahead of her time and is really funny! I'm sad there isn't more of it but am glad I got introduced to her and I'm already a fan. Thanks Chris.
Thing is too that she’s so charismatic! Charisma is such a huge factor in making tricks like this work. She was so ahead of her time, it’s a shame I’m only hearing of her now :(
Thanks for introducing many of us to her great work! Awesome humor and perfectly took basics to another level, all her own. Love that she pushes limits. Need more realism and less bs these days. Kudos to the both of you!!!
Remember, this was the era that Gallagher and Doug Henning and The Amazing Johnathan were big. It comes as no surprise to me that she would give comedy/prop magic a shot.
Wow, not seen her before. I really like her, quirky. She's a good magician, with a touch of comedy. Love the celery trick 😅 A strong female in a male dominated profession, ahead of her time. She owns it!
Dang Chris RUclips is doing you dirty 😮 3 days and hardly no views or comments? That's effed up 😡 It'll pass man! Thank you for keeping on doing you man! I love Bob and Area 52 as well as this channel. 👍👍👍
I love how she pretends to be a terrible magician but turns out to be so great. The act is amazing.
You'll like Lennart Green if you haven't heard of him before.

I suspect most people probably aren't all that fooled by the trick itself. The performance really makes a difference though.
Hell of a shoutout to get before a killer comedy magician ❤ Thanks buddy!

On my way to see your show upload!
“Hoovers the edge of death” didn’t get the laugh it deserved.
10:57 OMFG I haven't laughed this hard in a long time!
hahahahaha.
I know, it's stupid. But I wasn't expecting that at all lmao!
She's excellent and I look forward to checking out more of her material. As a Brit, I have to mention Tommy Cooper who was the funniest comedian/magician ever.
She was wonderful - 100% didn't know she'd done this type of work and it was awesome. Thank you for featuring her work!
Chaos magic at it's best. We had Tommy Cooper also. Apparently he would leave the theaters he performed at after 1am keeping the bar staff honest.
😂 The escape piece made me laugh out loud! "I am in the can" 😂

Doug Henning was my favorite comedic magician, he was amazing!
Thanks for sharing that. What a fantastic acting of her! Perfect mixture of comedy and magic. Such a great energy she brings on stage.
I loved this video Chris! Its so clear how much you enjoyed this video, your glowing man!!
I love when you do videos like this, Chris - Judy is amazing...and so funny too 🤣
Cheers for bringing her to our attention - great video 🤘
Love this! Showcasing a talented comedian and magician. Giving proper credit. Awesome work!
This was wonderful! Thank you!
One of my top 3 favorites for decompressing after work. Love ya brother!
I saw her in a one woman show in Hollywood around 1983 called " Judy Carter Goddess of Mystery" . Saw Penn and Teller about the same time in another small theater in Hollyeppd.
Thanks for sharing, Chris. She was hilarious. It's no wonder she switched to stand-up. :)
Thanks for this, she flew under my view as well and I'm having so much fun diving in!
Thankyou very much for introducing me to this. I may never have seen it. Wonderful stuff.
Parlor tricks was always fun and well loved
This was entertaining, and your enthusiasm is contagious! :D
Wow, thanks for sharing this!
Great video, bring back more of this.
It's amazing there is any video. Great stuff!
She's so talented & hilarious! Thankyou for introducing me to her! 🙏🏽
This is SOOOO GOOOD! Lol. Good stuff Chris. I have never seen that either lol
Got that 80's innocence.
Good review of a cool magician. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed that
that linking rings/everything was amazing!
5:19 This was super funny and most importantly very creative!
Good stuff. Chris ramsay is a good guy.
😂😂👌👌 very good she so good she would’ve been the very first female comedy magician in the 70s. That’s amazing to think sad that she dropped the magic act...
Great format, great mise en scène. fresh fresh fresh
So good, i didn't know she ever did magic tricks, great acts!
This was fantastic! I can't believe I never knew about her magic career.
This is awesome, had no idea Judy did magic ⚡
This is amazing to see. Always used to hearing about all the male magicians out there, but here is proof of women doing well in the art, too. \o/
I LOVE these reaction videos!!!
Thank you for bringing an act from before I was born to me today! She was absolutely great!
Thanks for sharing 😊😊
I just love her linking the rings at anything hahahahah
I just love how great her hair was back then. Man, I wish I had alive to see her live, she seems like such a great act!
She seems ahead of her time and is really funny!
I'm sad there isn't more of it but am glad I got introduced to her and I'm already a fan. Thanks Chris.
I've got an absurd joke about celery... It's just a funny vegetable
This lady is terrific !
Hilarious stuff! Her presentation is en par with Tomsoni, but it's even funnier. How I had never heard of her before watching this is beyond me.
I love it when you post!
Outstanding!
The real magic here is that the musician Prince is next to Judy in that photo from the 70s. 😂
Brilliant! So ahead of her time!
Brother, do one video about stories behind your tattoos, not necessarily your content but I'm just fascinated by tattoos.
There's one already
@@ivanbaxaliar ohh really, thanks for letting me know
She had me in tears with the linking rings
Never knew about this woman. It reminds me to my favorite comedy magician, The Amazing Jonathan.
Thing is too that she’s so charismatic! Charisma is such a huge factor in making tricks like this work. She was so ahead of her time, it’s a shame I’m only hearing of her now :(
The fact it's so old but she's an incredible comedic magician!
12:32 This reminded me of Gob from Arrested Development.
I normally mostly watch your puzzling videos. I’m glad I saw this one. 😀
Wow, what a treat! I had never seen any of her performances before. Also, quite progressive reporting in that last segment for way back then!
21:58 I'm pretty sure we're like at least 90% dudes watching you anyway XD
Very good stuff right there, love her!
I didn't notice it slip onto the mic cable. That was so smooth!
That is one of the best uses of linking rings I've ever seen
She was hilarious. I was not expecting it to be such a funny act.
Humberto is a young Kevin Pollak!! OK, I may have let my weekend adult beverage drinking start too early.
Weekend, but it's Wednesday?
That's going to be one helluva hangover!
Awesome.
Thanks for introducing many of us to her great work! Awesome humor and perfectly took basics to another level, all her own. Love that she pushes limits. Need more realism and less bs these days. Kudos to the both of you!!!
You know what I think that was a great trick. But I can't help it but think that Oscar from Sesame Street would came out of that can.😅 16:22
This was a lot of fun. I met Copperfield back in the ‘80s. Would have loved to have met Judy. ❤
What I loved about the rings was that she couldn't link them together but she was linking them on everything else.
That was the whole point lol
So awesome! ✨✨
She was way ahead of her time 😂
4:48 :D Thats a great show
Cool vid bro
Комедийная магия действительно поражает воображение. Даже сейчас смеюсь над некоторыми выступлениями Джуди. Спасибо команде Криса.
Nice comedy sketch: 4 magicians playing "poker"
This is awesome how have I never seen it and this would kill today let alone back then
A block of celery??? 😂😂😂
Wow, great humour, my type. Often, humour can get old, not hers.
Remember, this was the era that Gallagher and Doug Henning and The Amazing Johnathan were big. It comes as no surprise to me that she would give comedy/prop magic a shot.
15 seconds after the upload we’re here❣️❣️👏🏾👏🏾
Wow, not seen her before. I really like her, quirky. She's a good magician, with a touch of comedy. Love the celery trick 😅 A strong female in a male dominated profession, ahead of her time. She owns it!
She's pretty good. Amazing Jonathan always my favorite comedy magician
Chris! Where do I get the green mat/tray that you use in all of your videos?
As soon as she smiled I knew who she was
So cool. This chick was a real pioneer.
Love it.
I bet the trash can trick was the inspiration for The Prestige
Huh... While I do believe that it's her original routine, I've definitely seen that linking rings routine performed by clowns in many circuses.
if his friends knew, they probably be heckling him like crazy lol
Have a look at the Linking Rings act of Doble Mandoble ! It is hilarious as well :)
:) 3:04 and then imagine his friends, congratulate him after the show.
Magic show parody.
Dude she's brilliant
my face hurts from smiling
See if you can get an interview!
